Denna robusta stuga har ett sovrum med dubbelsÀng, en traditionell öppen spis, kök, badrum och ett övervÄningen sovrum med enkelsÀngar (begrÀnsat takhöjd och krav pÄ nykterhet). Dess pittoreska karaktÀr Àr en del av stugans charm - lÀmplig för semesterfirare som vill ha ett enkelt boende. En futon skulle sova en femte person pÄ övervÄningen om öppen planering Àr acceptabel. Fullt möblerade, med en video för DVD, tvÀttmaskin, kylskÄp, gasspis och bredband internet. BelÀget i den oövertrÀffade Gwaun-dalen, Àr stugan uppbackad av brantsidig ekklÀdd dalgÄng, och en bubblande ström strömmar bredvid fastigheten. Avskild trÀdgÄrd med hÀngande linje, sittplatser, bord och grill. Mycket tyst, skyddad och fredlig, med pubar ca 1 mil i bÄda riktningarna (en av dem kÀnda: Bessie's) strÀnder, inklusive Newport Sands, 3-5 miles, legendariska Pembrokeshire kustvandringar, fiske, fÀrskvatten och hav. För aktivt boende, eller bara njuta av din fritid, det ger en oförglömlig semesterupplevelse. Förutom Pembrokeshire National Park, och pÄ en skyddad plats för Special Scientific Interest, finns Gwaun Valley vild i vilda djur och intressanta insekter. En liten och vacker flod rinner ner i dalen, med öring. PÄ blÄsiga dagar tenderar dalen att vara varmare Àn bergsomrÄden.

In 1956 my family and another jointly bought the cottage. It remained as a holiday cottage, kept by the two families till the mid 80s. The cottage passed to the next generation and I've kept it in traditional style. It has been a big but rewarding commitment keeping my links to the past in the welcoming community, with familiar sights, walks, pubs and people. I have always fished for the excellent (but rather small) trout in the river five minutes away on foot.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
I have known the property all my life. Its positive effect never wanes. The charm of place and simplicity that creates an enduring appeal.
Countless families from all over the UK have shared the pleasures of the cottage over the past 50 years. With very few exceptions they have found its magic worked for them, with returners year on year. The full visitors' book tributes cannot be put on Vrbo, since the entries precede this era. The resident community in the valley are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Donât change or âimprove anythingâ, especially the stairs! Attic very good for train set on rainy day. Dyffryn Fernant splendid as ever. Same for Carninglie and Aber Rhigias. At least the rain was an excuse to have a summer fire. Cwm Gwaun brewery also good again. Will probably be back for a third time.

Such a peaceful and special place. Itâs lovely sitting in the grassy car park space looking out across the valley on a golden evening. Looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks to the people who left the tea leaves. Weâve seen hawks, a jay and various other interesting birds weâll need to look up. The cottage is a perfect place for children. Susan loved the attic with the low door that kept the parents out and baby James loved staring up at the beamed ceiling. Had the usual amusing spider adventure â this time it was lurking in my hair towel. Lobsters at Pwll Gwaelod (a beach).

Quirky but quaint. Very cosy â loved the location and the peace. The running water is very relaxing. Did lots of walks so feel fitter than when we arrived.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt
Silences, colour, and all the excitements of a down-to-earth living. In a national park that has not allowed change for decades, it really is something from a different world. It usually leaves the traveller with a heightened sense of wellbeing, more energy, and even, at times, a suntan.
