Njut av avskildheten och aktiviteterna på att bo på en privat, vårmatad issjö i Fox Chain of lakes-regionen. Drygt en timme från Chicago eller Milwaukee. 4 tunnland med 150 fot lakefront och en privat brygga. Huset totalrenoverat 2015.

Brandenburgsjön är en privat, glaciär, vårmatad sjö. Isolerat från Fox-sjöens huvudsakliga sjökedjor kan den skryta med en av de renaste sjöarna i Illinois. Perfekt för att simma och fånga fisk. Sjön tillåter endast elektriska motorer, så det håller vattnet oklanderligt för det rika vilda djur.

Alla säsongsaktiviteter; på vintern kan du njuta av att titta på isfiske, längdskidspår i närliggande Volo Bog, släde och krullning framför elden med en bok.

Huset är en stor delad nivå från 1950-talet som totalrenoverades 2015. Njut av ett stort vardagsrum, matsal, öppen spis och avskärmad veranda utanför köket med utsikt över sjön. Varje fönster har utsikt över trädet eller sjön. Huset är 2600 kvadratfot, plus har en bifogad konverterad garageuppsättning för rekreation av 600 kvadratfot och en skärmad veranda på 300 kvadratmeter från köket.

Hela användningen av fastigheten ingår; inklusive sjö, pir, avskärmad veranda, eldstad, utomhusgrill, bordtennisbord, två vuxna kajaker, ett barnkajak, ett paddelbräde, brädspel, flytvästar och paddelbräde. Helt renoverat 2015 med fullt kök.

Höghastighets wifi och en 50 tums tv med baskabel.

Alla sängkläder rengörs enligt NSF-protokoll. För längre vistelser kan tvätt göras på plats mot en avgift.

ADT fjärrövervakning.

Fastigheten ligger inom gångavstånd / längdskidavstånd från Volo myren; en statlig park med strandpromenader och vandrings- / längdskidspår över unika "kvävande myr". Ett fantastiskt naturcentrum som är värd för festivaler och program under alla säsonger.

Andra attraktioner i närheten: Six Flags, Bristol Renaissance Fair, Wilmont skidberg, Fox Chain of Lakes (Pontonbåtuthyrning, vattenmotorsporter och utforska).

40 minuter till Genèvesjön vilket gör en fantastisk halvdagstur.

Brandenburgsjön ligger 1 timme och 20 minuter från Chicago med bil. Eller 8 minuters bilresa från Fox Lake Metra tågstation. 1 timme från Milwaukee.

Från huset är det 20 minuters promenad till Volo bog State Park. Kort bilresa till livsmedelsbutik.

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house is beautiful with an amazing view of the lake. The house has tons of room to entertain or just relax. We spent most of the time just hanging out inside playing games, or enjoying meals on the screened porch. It is only a couple of minutes from town, so it was easy to run out and grab any supplies we needed.The lake is calm and quiet, so we were able to take the kayaks and paddle boards out and have the lake to ourselves. Highly recommend staying here!

I think this was the most immaculate rental I have ever visited. We had our annual girls weekend here and very much enjoyed the screen porch and the view! The house was spacious and the host was very responsive. We had everything we needed and then some!

Great Quiet Escape

This was our second time staying at the property and it was just as great as the first time. The property is private and a nice space to relax. The home and property are always cleans and in amazing shape! Love everything about this home and it is a nice place for families with small children to get away. Playing in swimming and beach area is a great way to spend a day with kids.

Beautiful Lake House!

This lake house is perfect for our family vacation and we have booked it twice now! Between the beach, dock for fishing, watercraft options, screened porch, and garage/rec room, we have non-stop fun! We are planning to book again next summer!

Perfect family getaway!

We had a fabulous family weekend at this beautiful lake house and made lifelong memories! This is our third time here and plan to rent again!The house was spotless and full of helpful amenities. The screened porch overlooking the lake is picture perfect! We had a couple of sandhill cranes visit every morning. With a cup of coffee, what a lovely way to start the day!

4th of July Respite

Second time staying here. The place is beautiful in every way. Just a chance to gather with family and spend time with grandchildren away from everyday duties and obligations. Kids love the place and never want to leave. They would spend the entire day in the water if we allowed it. In an effort to enjoy family and give them a little break this place fits the bill.

Summer Family Vacation

The property is beautiful and home is very comfortable; we lived on the screened in porch. The home is immaculate and the kitchen is well stocked and works well for our family for meal prep. The property, and lake provide a relaxing and fun vacation for our 4 generations.

Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. This was the third year we have rented this house. We continue to love the property and enjoy fishing off the dock, swimming in the pond, and using the paddle boards. It's perfect for 2 families to share - there's enough room for everyone. The screened in porch is the best part of the property.

Great Summer Get Away

We really enjoyed the house during our hot August weather. Lots of time spent in the water on boats and fishing. The kitchen was well equipped to feed our team of 10. We will be happy to stay again in the future.

The house was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The grounds were lovely -- with a huge front lawn area great for outdoor games and beautiful sloping backyard down to the water.The lake was very peaceful, and you felt like you only had to share it with the plentiful waterfowl, including geese, cormorants, and at least one osprey.The shoreline was weedy and not great for swimming, but the dock area was really nice, and the fishing was spectacular -- it became a nightly ritual for me and my three grandchildren. Once you got past the weeds on a paddleboard or in a kayak, things opened up and you could jump in and swim.All in all, a fantastic setting for a relaxing family time.

Terrific family vacay!

We had an amazing time visiting this impeccably clean and well appointed house. There was every necessary amenity and more. The family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board! It was beautiful to wake up each day and see the lake. We loved eating and spending time in the screened in porch. The kids and the adults all enjoyed the serenity and break that this beautiful home provided! Thank you!

Wonderful quiet lake house

We stayed with our toddler, baby and the grandparents. Such a great place for young kids. The lake is very quiet and safe. Perfect beach for the toddler. He had a blast trying to catch all the fishes! Beautiful scenery from the screened porch. Amenities are very nice. Host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Bliss at Brandenburg Lake House

There was so much to do at the house that we only left to shop for groceries. The kitchen was perfect for making large family meals. We played ping pong every day. Kayaking on the serene lake was everyone’s favorite activity. We sat on the dock and watched the sun set. And fires at night on the beach were a great way to end the day.

Family Summer Vacation

The home is beautifully remodeled and very comfortable and the host is responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful week with 4 generations of family from ages 1 to 88. The screened in porch is our favorite room to gather. The kids enjoyed the sand and beach and lots of land to run. The kitchen is roomy and great for preparing and serving meals. We had a wonderful week. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Fantastic place

The house and setting were amazing. Better than we could have expected. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking requirements. The whole house was spotless and the view to the lake absolutely gorgeous. Sitting on the lanai was a real treat. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Chicago area. Super quiet for sleeping and very comfortable beds. All in all an overall excellent experience. Well done to the hosts for providing such a beautiful property to rent.

Perfection

This property is perfect in every way. It is immaculate and very well designed. My grand babies loved the beach area and water. We played down there every day for hours. The adults loved the kayaks out on the calm and quiet lake. Everything about the area and this beautiful home was just perfect. The screened in sun room was the icing on the cake. Not only a great place to sit and relax but a great place for family meals. Loved everything about this place.

Perfect for a family getaway

We had 4 adults and 3 children under 12 years old who went on a family getaway from Chicagoland. The house has been renovated nicely and had all the amenities we needed. The house was located on a private lake in a very quiet area. Our kids loved the kayaks and paddle board. They also had a bedroom to themselves. We spent everyday enjoying the lake, either on the water, fishing or sitting on the beach or in the screened porch. We were looking for a quiet place to getaway and found it. We would definitely come back for a long weekend.

Beautiful place

The property was beautiful and as described. The house was incredibly clean, supplied with everything we needed for our stay, and well situation for our group of 10. We were fortunate to have super warm weather that was great for swimming. We enjoyed the beach, it was great for our kids ages 2-10. The biggest complaint is there were many snakes in the lake. Could have been the time of year or due to the abnormally warm weather (95 degrees in mid June), but the snakes really freaked us out. We saw multiple ones every day we were there. We just kept an eye out for them and still enjoyed the lake, beach, and kayaks. The kids also enjoyed fishing, they got a bite just about every time they dropped in a line. Overall a beautiful place, but just be aware of the snakes in the lake before swimming!

Thank you Megan for your great 5 star review! I am so sorry to read that you were made uncomfortable by the snakes. The only snake we have on the lake is the completely harmless and fish hunting Northern Water Snake. If I had known they were making you uncomfortable I would have sent our groundskeeper to gently catch and relocate them for you.

Peaceful and Relaxing Holiday Stay

We elected to stay at this property during Thanksgiving, so I could spend it with my parents near their home, but also far enough away that it felt like a "getaway" location. Overall, the house is amazing. There were 7 of us in all, and we didn't feel squished together. There was plenty of room to handle our group (and more, had I needed). The kitchen was large and accommodated our needs for the holiday - everything I needed was there (utensils, appliances, etc). There was even several rooms to stretch out and relax in, like watching television, cozying up with a book or just taking in the absolutely picturesque view of the lake (the star of the show). Beds were clean and comfy, bathrooms were great. We had plenty of towels and linens to cover all of our needs. I would also like to mention that the property owner is spectacular, answering any questions I had quickly! An additional tip... Waze tells you to go the wrong way to get to the house, sending you down a gravel road to someone else's property - so make sure you watch the address and what road you're on carefully. Once you get it though, it's very very easy! I don't count that against this property, though - it's five stars all the way.
