Girls’ Getaway

Great house with everything you need and just 1 block from the beach. Everyone had a wonderful time with plenty of room, a stocked kitchen and a wonderful deck with a hot tub. Highly recommend for a getaway!

Perfect getaway

We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay at Serendipity! The location and all the amenities were perfect for my family ( 9 adults) Very comfortable , with everything we needed for a great stay. The outside deck is the perfect place to enjoy family and friends and relax !!!

Summer Family weekend in Fire Island

Great location. Great house. Close to ocean and bay. House was fully stocked with kitchen utensils so we could make large family meals. Two nice sized bedrooms. Third small bedroom had 4 bunk-style twin beds. Fourth bed was a loft accessible by ladder.

Great Fire Island Getaway

Serendipity is the perfect name!!

Wow! We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Serendipity! The location of the house and the amenities at the house were perfect! What a great space to unwind and be with family and friends a block away from the beach and a short ride away from the shops and restaurants of Ocean Bay. Mr Duke was wonderfully helpful with information prior to our arrival and when we arrived, the home and amenities were just as listed. I cannot say enough good things about this house. Thank you Mr Duke for a wonderful stay!!

Five Star Weekend

I recently planned an extended weekend getaway with my five sons and their girlfriends. It was my first time bringing my family to Fire Island and this house accommodated us perfectly in every way. We enjoyed game nights in the cozy family room and barbecues on the deck with nightcaps by the hot tub. Everything was a short walk away...beach, restaurants and markets, and it was so easy to get to the house from the ferry. We had a blast exploring nearby towns on all of the bikes provided as well. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels! Thank you so much to Robert and Sarah for sharing their warm and comfy home, and for being so great to work with through our planning. We would love to make this a place we come back to year after year.

A lovely week in a wonderful home

Rob and Sarah’s home is a perfect place to stay on Fire Island. Missing nothing, this lovely home has everything you could need to spend a peaceful week. Although the weather at the beginning of the week was not pleasant, beach time not possible, the house itself was comfy enough that reading, cooking 3 meals a day, hitting the hot tub, games available to play, we had a great time. Weather then cooperated, we hit the beach (chilly but sunny) watched the waves, read some books, then went “home” to very clean, well laid out space, which easily sleeps 12. June at OBP is quiet. Restaurants open weekends only, but not what we were there for. Bring your own liquor, have food delivered by King Kullen, you’ll be in heaven, even in June. Mid-summer in this house would be perfect!!! Can’t wait to do this again next year. Thank you Sarah and Rob. Till next summer!! Lea and Tom

Great experience

Such a Wonderful time, everything was there that we could possibly need. Very easy check in and check bc out. Close the the ferry and beach yet quiet and serene. The house was extremely clean. I will be going again next year.

Serendipity beauty

Perfect house for any length of stay. Convenient to everything; ferry, restaurants, most importantly the beach. Having beach towels and chairs available is great. The house was spotless. Many household items at your fingertips. Just bring your clothes and bathing suits. Communication with Sarah and Robert was superb. Look forward to staying at Serendipity next year and years to come.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Plenty of outdoor space to hang out, located close to the beach and store. Everything you need for a great beach weekend right there. It really just had it all! Great communication and very accomodating of our needs.

Great rental!

Serendipity has everything you need! The house was clean, organized and ample sleeping space for our group (and larger groups). The deck had enough seating for everyone to enjoy dinner outside together, we grilled every day. The beach chairs are sturdy and there are at least 10! The ice machine was a pleasant surprise. Thank you Sarah and Robert, we would love to rent again next year!
