Denna rymliga och ljusa lägenhet på 90 m2 har en söderläge terrass idealisk för morgonkaffe eller ett glas vin efter mörker medan du beundrar utsikten över det autentiska judiska kvarteret. Lägenheten består av tre stora separata sovrum med separata ingångar vardera, ett dubbelrum med regndusch, ett sovrum med terrass och ett stort vardagsrum som kan användas som ett extra sovrum vid behov. Det finns ett andra badrum med badkar, de två badrummen har toaletter. Det nya välutrustade köket erbjuder all komfort. Det finns två matsalar, ett är i köket och ett annat stort runt bord i det ljusa vardagsrummet.

Plats: ligger i det trendiga och livliga området, men på en liten, lugn gata. I omedelbar närhet kan du besöka den stora synagogen, operahuset, basilikan, Andrassy avenue samt många kaféer, restauranger och gallerier. Det gamla judiska kvarteret har en pittoresk atmosfär med karakteristiska människor, slående kontrast till förfallna byggnader och nya hyreshus och unika monument. Området serveras väl av 3 tunnelbanelinjer, vagnbussar men hela staden är tillgänglig för fot, perfekt som fritidshus och verkligen leva i Budapest anda.

Great Hosts, Great Location, Great Apartment

Janos & Jozsef are great hosts. We took advantage of their city guide and home restaurant offerings and both were excellent. Janos is an insightful guide and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him, then come home to a traditional Hungarian meal cooked up by Jozsef. We spent the evening with them eating, talking, enjoying a few glasses of Hungarian wine, and hopefully making some new friends.The apartment is large enough for 4 adults and very comfortable.Many sights in this beautiful city are within walking distance and the tram/metro system is easy and efficient. Plus it's free if you're 65 yrs or older. Just show your passport or Id if asked.All in all a wonderfully memorable time we would absolutely recommend.

Well-deserved 10/10

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The place was exactly what we expected from the photos and description. It was large, very clean and well outfitted. But the most exceptional feature was the attention that our hosts paid to us while we were there. We were greeted upon check in, briefed on things we shouldn't miss during our stay, and received prompt responses when we had questions or asked for restaurant recommendations. We hired János to be our guide on our second day in Budapest, and it was an amazing experience sharing his knowledge and passion for the city. The location of the apartment was great, as long as you don't mind climbing stairs to the third floor (which was fine for us), and the neighbourhood felt safe and quiet. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this amazing city.

BEST Location! BEST Apartment!! BEST HOSTS EVER!

I have been to Budapest 3 times in the last year and a half. Each time has been at Josef and Janos VEBO. They are the best hosts - bar none. We were provided an excellent orientation to the building, apartment and community. The home is extraordinary…so much history and full of beautiful antiques. The very best part, however, of the stay was time spent with our hosts. They provided a city trip, a trip to the Danube and a day trip to Bratislava. My most special memory will be that of the dinner prepared for us by Josef. A better meal you will not find in any Budapest restaurant! Music! Wine! Fish and goulash entree and dessert! Served by candlelight with lovely Hungarian music. I am already thinking about my next trip to this beautiful city and staying at Szukkot. There is nothing to not love about this apartment.

Budapest Gem

The best place to stay in Budapest.Janos and Josef were amazing to communicate with and the property was clean comfortable central and helpful. We won’t stay anywhere but here for now on when we visit Budapest. They even setup our airport transfer and offered private tour of the city. Not to mention my husband got very ill and their assistance helped me find medicine and a pharmacy that prevented a hospital visit

Best hosts in Budapest

From start to finish this VRBO and Janos and Josef were the most hospitable of hosts. Not only did they stay up until their driver brought us to their lovely apartment way past midnight, but they made plans with us for the following 2 days for tours and dinner reservations. We visited during the beautiful Christmas Markets prior to a riverboat cruise and with the assistance of our hosts we visited Szentendre and spent a most enjoyable day touring and learning the history of Budapest from Janos. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the apartment and the comfortable bedrooms and living areas as well as the great location - we were right in the middle of everything! Perfect Location

Our host was so organized. He arranged our airport pickup, met us upon arrival and helped us settle in, keys/maps/information etc. The location was perfect for us, right on the subway, a block from the Opera, just as advertised. We had plenty of local restaurants, and for mornings, a bakery just around the corner, perfect! Everything we needed was in the apartment, and if it was not I know it was just a phone call away. Having two full bathrooms was an added bonus. He even prearranged our pickup for our return flight, nice to have that piece of mind. I can't say enough about Janos, our host, he has clearly been doing this awhile and loves it. If you're looking for a comfortable spot in the heart of Budapest, this is it. Enjoy your stay, we certainly did!

Simply the Best

Szukkot apartment is fabulous! Location, the historical building and the amenities are wonderful. But the hosts made our stay simply the best. They provided us with a city tour and tour outside the city. They were immediately responsive to any and all requests. The absolute best part of this entire holiday was enjoying a traditional home cooked meal prepared by our hosts. I’ve stayed at this location twice in 2023 and have already made a reservation for 2024. Stay at Szukkot and you will agree!

Amazing and fantastic

I could write all day about Budapest and it is the most wonderful city, but this review is about the apartment and our host. The apartment is very well appointed, authentic and traditional. It emerges you into traditional Budapest culture. The quality and standard is very high and we loved it. We were a family of 4 and we all had so much space and room. The location must be the very best in the city, so central. We had the best breakfast cafe 2 doors down and a very cool bar right under our balcony which we sat and listened to the chit chat and also used. Our hosts were wonderful.., they took so much time to provide guidance and the best way to see the city and they are genuine lovely people. I hope to go back to Budapest very soon and we will only go straight back to this apartment and these lovely hosts.

Janos and Joszef are the best!

Our place was perfect! Right in the middle of the sites and restaurants. Very cozy apartment and our hosts were there to greet us and say goodbye. Apartment is right above a bar so front room can be noisy until it closes. But you can either be annoyed by that or embrace it as part of the culture. If Janos offers to take you on a tour you should take him up on that!

Great location in historic area

My friends and I enjoyed our stay and found the location to be perfect. The apartment is accommodating and efficient. Jozsef and Janos were exceptionally kind and helpful, and we would definitely recommend a guided tour with Janos. He was exceptional and really helped us make our 2 days of sightseeing informative and memorable.

Best vacation rental EVER

First of all, the apartment was perfect - a beautifully restored apartment in a historical building, very clean, well stocked, spacious and in the best location for a holiday in Budapest. But much more important to my friend and me was the the gracious reception and care given to us by our hosts József and Janos, We were treated as treasured friends rather than clients. From our first meeting to our last, they helped with anything we needed. You will never regret a stay in this beautiful home with these wonderful people.

Come for a short visit, make a friend for life.

We had a great Stay at Jozsef's apt in the Jewish Quarter. Located in a very vibrant neighborhood right behind the opera house yet a very quiet and comfortable apt. The apt had everything you need, plenty of room for our family of 6. Kitchen well appointed. Jozsef was a great host, provided great suggestions and recommendations and even assisted with reservations. Once you stay with Jozsef you will have a friend for ever in Budapest.

Greatest hosts, amazing place

First, our hosts were the very best. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable in both the lovely apartment and the town. They gave an amazing overview of local attractions, good restaurants, public transportation and made sure we knew we could contact them any time. The apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bedding smelled so fresh, and the balcony is a treat. We counted 58 stairs from the ground to the apartment, which is fine for us, but good for others to be aware of if stairs are difficult for you. But we could not recommend this location or these hosts more. We would love to stay with them again!

Nice apartment.

Overall great place. Good location, very clean, two baths was nice, well stocked with everything a traveler needs. The apartment is above a pub. There was no loud music, but the party can spill out into the street until late hours. We were not allowed to check-in until 6:30 which was a bummer after 24+ hours of traveling.

Interessanter Teil von Budapest

Die Lage des Objekts ist unschlagbar. Optimaler Ausgangspunkt für allerlei Unternehmungen. Koschere Restaurants in der Umgebung und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Man ist mitten im Leben, bis circa. 2 Uhr Nachts herrscht Trubel auf den Straßen, Supermärkte in der Nähe bis 9 Uhr 7 Tage die Woche.

Fin lejlighed med perfekt beliggenhed

Excellent experience

Jozsef and Janos set the bar high as VRBO hosts. It's too bad this was the first place we stayed on the trip, because no one else could match that kind of hospitality! The apartment is comfortable, immaculate, and in a great location. Janos offered a tour of Budapest which we were smart enough to accept. This helped us to orient ourselves to this amazing city, learn more of the history through the eyes of a knowledgeable local, and experience how unique Budapest is. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, greats hosts

I highly recommended this apartment. The hosts are incredible. They helped us figure out the lay of Budepest and how to efficiently spend our time. They even checked in on us (via website) during our stay to see if they could help in anyway. The apartment was charming and spotless. It had all the amenities you could need. There are SO many good restaurants to eat at just out the door and the subway is very close by.

Nous sommes 4 à avoir passé 5 jours dans cet appartement. Localisation: idéale, proche du centre et permettant de faire beaucoup de visites à pied. Station métro Opéra à 4 minutes. Arrêt de bus Octogon à 6 minutes.Nombreux restaurants dans un rayon de 2-300 mètres. Appartement très bien rénové, dans un vieux bâtiment de 120 ans. Lits confortables. Sanitaires de qualité. Propreté impeccable. Equipement complet (draps, serviettes, cuisine ...) Mais le point le plus fort est l'accueil des propriétaires Joszef et Janos qui ont organisé le transport en taxi de et vers l'aéroport, et ont passé plus d'une heure avec nous pour nous transmettre un tas d'informations pratiques très utiles concernant les visites à faire, les moyens de transport, la restauration, les horaires. De la documentation sur la ville est mise à disposition. Merci pour ce très bon séjour, We are 4 to have spent 5 days in this apartment. Location: ideal, close to the center and to make many visits on foot. Opera metro station at 4 minutes. Octogon bus stop at 6 minutes.Numerous restaurants within a radius of 2-300 meters.
