Clean, well appointed, great location, friendly host

We stayed for 8 nights (2 adults 2 teenage children)--apartment very clean and equipped with everything we needed (which we really appreciated because we didn't have to run out and buy supplies right away). The owner met us when we arrived and gave us a 5 minute orientation, which we appreciated. Anything we needed he responded immediately. The location is great--as mentioned by others there is a bar/cafe located directly across the street that is open early for coffee and pastries, and late (like 10PM) for a beer or a wine. The owner of cafe was very friendly, always helpful (he carried coffees across the street for us several mornings). The market, which has everything, is a few steps away, bank machine, laundromat (although the unit has laundry), and metro just down the street. Literally one street over is a main artery of Rome and the street is filled with cafes and restaurants, pharmacy, etc. Very convenient and close by. Our teenage boys ate pizza and pasta nearly every day at the nearby restaurant and ran to the market for supplies whenever they wanted. While the unit is on a relatively quiet street, it is on street level and if windows are open, you can hear everything going on outside (cars, scooters, conversations). However with windows closed, it really wasn't an issue. All considered we recommend and would stay there again. Just so easy to get everywhere in Rome from this home base.

Avoid this rental

This is a rental to avoid. Advertised as "Luxury", it is anything but that.The apartment has 3 rooms. All 3 rooms share a wall with a busy and noisy sidewalk outside. The street next to that sidewalk is equally busy and noisy. Each room has only 1 of the 3 windows. The pictures on the VRBO site show the shades open. Unrealistic, unless you want the passer-bys to look in or eavesdrop on you. The same holds for opening the windows for any fresh air.On our first night, the host entered our apartment (right off the street mind you), while we were there, without knocking. He also entered it, days later, when we weren't around.The apartment advertises WiFi. My computer was getting less than 1MB/second. In response, the host said "for some reason, WiFi doesn't work for American and British computers". Go figure.On our last night, an alarm (smoke? Carbon Monoxide?) went off at 2am. The host had to be begged to come over and address it. He finally did 45 minutes later and just took the offending alarm with him. We ended up only staying 5 of the 15 days we had booked. VRBO's response to these events: to totally discount the input from the consumer (us) and support their customer, the host. No relief from VRBO At half the price, it could be considered acceptable.

An exceptional apartment

This apartment is located near Vatican City on a quiet side street, but with access to all city services (busses, trains, stores, restaurants, etc.). The property managers were very efficient. The apartment was spotless upon our arrival. We would stay here again without any reservations. It was the perfect gateway to the Rome we love.

Lovely apartment near Vatican City

We loved our stay in Rome, and this apartment for all of our needs. Great location, comfortable beds, great kitchen with everything we needed, and beautifully designed. Checking in with Andrea was easy and she was very responsive. I would recommend this apartment b for a family of 4 or couples traveling.

Super nice!

Beautifully decorated apartment near the Vatican. Comfortable beds nice bathrooms and perfect for the 3 of us. The nicest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. The only drawback is the washer/dryer combo unit did not get the cloths all the way dry. We couldn’t figure out how to just run the dryer. We hung up what didn’t dry on the towel warmers and everything was dry by morning. Easy walk from Roma S Pietro train station.

Rome visit

Beautiful apartment in city. Nice restaurants close by like casa specca.

Great response from hosts. Very accommodating. Comfy beds. Fridge and stove there if needed. Could have breakfast there then go out for snacks. Close store around the corner. Very well situated near the Vatican. Only issue was needed more space for ice and freezer needed defrosting. I used ice to get swelling down in my ankles. I thank the hosts for offering their place as it worked perfectly for my family.

Beautiful and well equipped apartment near the Vatican

First of all, the host, Andrea, was wonderful. She was very kind, helpful and responsive. The process of self check in and check out was a breeze. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with amenities that helped make you feel at home. The host thought of everything. There was an informative welcome packet left in the living room with wifi info, recommendations on restaurants, site seeing, how to get around, etc. In the second bedroom there was a Nintendo switch that our kids could enjoy. There was even Netflix available in both rooms. The AC was much appreciated as we were there during a hot month! And a bottle of water was in the refrigerator. It was also nice to see a washer/dryer (also with laundry detergent!) in the closet of the primary bedroom. We didn’t need to use but it was nice to see it there for next time. We’ve stayed at other apartments that had a washer but didn’t have a drying function, causing us to inconveniently dry clothes with a hair dryer. The bathrooms were well equipped with ample shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and hand soap. Not just your typical tiny bottles given at other places. The location was fantastic. It was close to restaurants and even a little super market just a few steps away for any other needs we may have. I highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely come back there next time we’re in Rome! Thanks Andrea for making our stay wonderful!

Great apartment for couples

The apartment was very clean as advertised. Had everything we needed. Could use ceiling or floor fans as during the summer it gets extremely hot and you cannot leave on air conditioning when you are out of the unit. Takes some time to cool down.

Wonderful stay!!!

We loved our stay with Andrea!!! The apartment was very centrally located. It was very clean and perfect for our family of four. My kids are 24 and 21 and enjoyed the bar across the street. We had bfast and coffee daily at the cafe and bought snacks at the store up the street. Highly recommend!!!!

Great stay and location

Listing described the apartment very accurately. The location was very good. Had no trouble with getting taxis to come pick us up from there. If coming back to Rome would stay there again.

This was a very nice place to stay. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and a good location. I highly recommend staying here. The communication with Andrea was good and check-in went smoothly. The grocery store a minute away was convenient. Walking distance was the train station, restaurants, shopping and the Vatican. Figure out the bus and metro and you can visit all the sights in Rome. We were very happy with everything and would definitely stay here again.

Spring getaway

This place was great. The apartment was clean, well maintained, well appointed, and well located - just a short walk to the Vatican, supermarket, bank, bus, train station, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend.
