Rymlig 1: a våningen Portobello Balkonglägenhet

En vackert ljus och luftig lägenhet med högt i tak på första våningen i en av de fristående husen i den eleganta trädkantade Bassett Road, den främsta adressen i Ladbroke Grove / Portobello, London.

Lägenheten valdes för att vara med i Plum Guide och jag har blivit vald som Superhost på AirBnB :)

Två minuters promenad från Ladbroke Grove Station [Circle Line och Hammersmith & City Line] är det en lugn plats att bo nära hamnen på Portobello Road och Notting Hill-området med ditt val av bohemiska och kulturellt olika restauranger och barer. Du kan köra hela spekteret från charmiga lokala kaféer och gatukostnader i Golborne Road, Galicien min favorit där du transporteras till Spanien utan att ta flygningen - till Electric, genom Lisa med jazzgitarr på torsdagskvällar och till sist Richard Caring's Pizza East . Promenera genom Portobello Antique marknaden på lördag och utforska charmen i Notting Hill och West London.

Bassett Road och byggnaden är en lugn oas i ett pulserande distrikt - lägenheten passar inte partydjur :)

Lägenheten har vägg till vägg Nantucket skåp i sovrummet. Med en liten smidighet som krävs för att förhandla vindusbanan - som det ses på fotografierna - kan du njuta av en kaffe på den minskade balkongen i solskenet innan du vågar ut för att utforska området.

Lägenheten är inte lämplig för barn, småbarn eller spädbarn.

Köket har ett kylskåp med separat frys, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, ugn och ugn, mikrovågsugn, elektrisk smoothie maker och vattenkokare.

Uppvärmningen styrs av en NEST-termostat.

När hyras i mer än 10 dagar - kommer min städare att delta i fastigheten för ca. 2 timmar per vecka, efter den första veckan, ökar du byte av lakan och handdukar, mot en extra kostnad på £ 40.

Super snabbt 60 MB fiberoptiskt bredband med obegränsad nedladdning och en 42 tums plasma-TV med markbundna kanaler och HDMI-kabel.
Observera att sängen är en bekväm UK Double - 140cm bred - det är inte Kingsize.

Grannskapet
Ladbroke Grove har ett blomstrande lokalsamhälle - det finns många små oberoende affärer och otroligt olika restauranger.
Med marknaderna Portobello och Golborne Road har området en bohemisk och vänlig atmosfär där du kan bläddra i antikaffärer, stoppa för kaffe i ett oändligt antal små kaféer eller njut av Tapas på den lokala spanska restaurangen.

Jag rekommenderar billiga taxibolag från både Heathrow och Gatwick - vilket garanterar en stressfri ankomst :)

Wonderful stay in Notting Hill

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Caz was wonderful, with great communication. We (and she) were very busy otherwise it would have been great to meet up! I would definitely choose this property again on a return trip to London.

Cute apartment in Notting Hill

A perfect little one bedroom apartment, tastefully decorated and well equipped on a wonderful quiet street in Notting Hill. Really enjoyed our stay! The owner Caz was very nice and very easy to work with.

Wanted a place away from the tourist areas, as this was my 5th or 6th trip to London. Clean, comfortable apartment in a local neighborhood. Easy access to the Tube to all parts of London. Enjoyed a great stay.

Perfect Stay

Loved staying at this property. Caz was wonderful and was always available and helpful. The location is great. So close to public transportation and shopping. Lots of fun pubs and restaurants. Hope to come back again.

Great quiet little flat in bustling Portobello

A delightful little flat, with everything one needs, on edge of energy of Portobello and Westbourne Rd. Literally steps to Tube and the Market, shops and restaurants of Westbourne, but quiet and elegant.

Lovely stay

The property is situated in a convenient location, with public transportation and supermarket nearby. Portobello Market, Notting Hill Gate & Holland Park area are within walking distance. The flat is quiet, clean with all the necessary facilities. The host is responsive and helpful. There's a bus stop very close by and quite often I take the bus instead, especially at night.

Great flat!

The flat is very convenient to Ladbroke Grove Tube and easy walking distance to Portobello Road. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the neighborhood is quiet. Bed is comfortable. There is a tiny porch which was nice to have on a sunny day. Highly recommend.

Perfect flat in Ladbroke Grove

I spent a month at this property and it was wonderful. Well-appointed, great location on a quiet street, easy access to transport, shops and dining. Caz, the property manager, is a great communicator and made sure everything was going fine with the property. If you’re looking for a place, this property is perfect for 1-2 people.

Stayed here five years ago and it was such a good place we just had to come back. Excellent apartment. Everything was as good as last tiime. Would recommend to anyone. Only ten minute walk to catch the train that takes you anywhere..

Perfect for Two

We stayed 8 nights in this London apartment while visiting family. The location is quiet and close to grocery stores and the Ladbroke Grove tube station. We ate dinner at many of the nearby restaurants on Portobello Road. The bed and living area were comfortable. If there was anything I would wish for it would be a larger French press coffee pot or Kuerig for making coffee. Even though there is no A/C, we found the apartment to be cool enough for sleeping at night. There is a small fan in the bedroom.

Great Flat in Notting Hill

The flat is located in a pretty street in Notting Hill, very residential. It is in good condition and spacious for a one bedroom. Close to Ladroke Station for easy access to the city. Caz was easy to work with and very helpful with the check in and recommendations for nearby supermarkets and restaurants. There was some work with painting the front door and stairwell and Caz helped out looking after the flat while I was away. A minor issue was the with the hot water system which some times switches to cold water during a shower even when it is pumped up in pressure (due to low pressure supply). I am sure this can be fixed. Overall, I can recommend this flat.

Ideal perch for Notting Hill and the rest of London

My wife and I stayed here over New Year's and it was perfect for us. It is very spacious for two people. We loved all of the storage space in the closet -- enough for hanging all of our clothes plus room to stowaway our suitcases. The kitchen was well equipped and the sitting room was comfortable -- an ideal place to plan the day or rest after a full one. Clean apartment, overall. Really very close to the best part of the Portabello market's northside. Two notable nearby eats are Lisboa Bakery and Fez Mangal (Turkish). The Tesco grocery nearby is better stocked than I had expected compared to US convenience "marts". The underground entrance is very close. Also, we discovered that the bus routes are really convenient for heading south towards Kensington.

We Will Stay Here Again!

We feel so fortunate to have found this quiet, comfortable and clean apartment on a tree-lined street in the heart of Ladbroke Grove in Notting Hill. It was the perfect spot to explore the neighborhoods, markets, restaurants, cafes, and hidden gems of this unique section of London. The flat is located in a residential neighborhood just off Ladbroke Road and a 5 min walk to the Ladbroke Grove Station. You can walk everywhere! It's a first floor walk-up in a building inhabited by residents. Windows look out into the quiet street from the living room and, from the bedroom, into a very quiet, large green area between buildings. Everything you need is here, from cooking to cleaning to washing your clothes. It's clean, it's very quiet, and it's perfect for 2 people. If you like to walk, explore neighborhoods, enjoy eating at small restaurants and cafes, love a vibrant and funky retail scene, and enjoy coming home to a quiet respite in the city, this is the place for you. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely home and stay, but terrible experience after our check out

This place is lovely and in a fabulous location. Unfortunately, we are having issues with our damage refund. We've been accused of 'wrong doing' which did not happen during our stay. We are respectable guest to owners homes. Be sure to take before and after photos/videos of the home just in case you need proof. Regrettably, we failed to do that. Lesson learned as a traveler!! 5 stars for the home and area but with being accused of 'wrong doing' made 4 of those stars disappear.

I own four idiosyncratic homes - two in Chelsea, one in Ladbroke Grove and a wonderful house in Shepherd's Bush with a large South facing garden.
Occasionally an apartment is available for guests - it is a fabulous alternative to an hotel with the opportunity to enjoy a real neighbourhood experience - when not let one apartment gives me the chance to practice the saxophone to my hearts content - very quiet until I start! :)

This is a 'happy' house and the area brings to mind Armistead Maupin's 'Tales of the City'. The apartment is in one of the grand houses of Bassett Road and is a peaceful oasis in a bohemian area :)
