Great Location!

Really enjoyed our time here...the apartment is just the right size and within walking distance to Bishops beach, art galleries, restaurants and the visitor center. Would definitely stay here again :)

Excellent Apartment For Your Stay In Homer, AK

One of our favorite places to stay during our 26 day Alaskan trip-wish we could've stayed longer. Owner had great communication prior to our arrival (clear instructions on how to access the building, suggested activities etc) Tastefully updated, very clean, appreciated the use of washer/dryer, well stocked kitchen, great location. Apartment is on 2nd floor but this was not a problem for us. Would highly recommend this property for your stay in Homer

This has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed. The setting is gorgeous and quiet, natural amenities and dining options in the area abound, and the apartment is spacious, simply furnished and luxuriantly comfortable.

Had a great time in Homer!

We enjoyed the rental very much. The location was great! It was clean and everything seemed new. The natural soaps and lotions were very nice. The only improvement I can think of would be for the addition of black out curtains as the summer days are very long in Homer. Otherwise, perfect. We hope to be back. Thanks.

Look no further - this place is perfect!

We stayed for a few nights in early July and so glad we chose here vs. the hotel at the end of the busy Homer Spit. The apartment is spotless, new and very comfortable. It has everything you could want in terms of toiletries, nice towels, cable TV and I believe there was on-site laundry (but don't quote me on that). Freshly ground coffee and even a chocolate bar, too! After long, active days it was so nice to come "home" vs. a single hotel room! As many of the other reviews said, it is within feet from a delish bakery and a popular fish/steakhouse (AJ's?) - loved that convenience when short on time/energy. Further, this location is quiet, a super short walk to the beach and maybe 5 minutes to the popular Homer Spit - and you'll pass a grocery store and gas station on the way. Pretty perfect. It's a great value for the location/size and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. And final note - we questioned booking a place without a view but found we made the right call. Out and about all day, once home we only wanted to see a bed pillow. The views are so big and plentiful all over Alaska that you really won't miss it and will appreciate the extra space this apartment provides!

Quiet, comfortable place

Entry is on the backside of this building. It is a fairly new second floor condo/apartment, very clean, nicely decorated. There is not a view, but it is a block to an amazing beach! I loved staying in this part of Homer, with some really sweet restaurants and shops. My only suggestion might be some darkening curtains for the bedroom (the sun doesn't set until after 11:00 pm this time of year!), but this may not bother others. I would highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.

Great!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed, and was convenient for walking or a short drive to explore the area. Our plans changed a bit unexpectedly and Shelly went out of her way to accommodate these changes. We would definitely recommend staying here while you explore Homer!

Great apartment

This was a lovely apartment! Very clean and had everything we needed. Close to Safeway, art galleries, Two Sisters bakery, and restaurants. The kitchen has appliances and all the utensils for cooking and eating. The bed is extremely comfortable. Whoever gets to stay here is in for a treat.

Wonderful, convenient place to stay in Homer

This was a great apartment. It's upstairs, very clean, nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. It is located about a block away from Bishop's Beach, wonderful for walking and for birding, which is what we were in town for. It is also located about a half-block from the Two Sisters Restaurant and Bakery, one of our favorite places to eat in Homer. It's a five-minute walk from the Park Service's Islands and Oceans Center, with comprehensive displays on the local marine environment. My wife left her charging wire in the apartment and the lady who manages it for the owner bent over backwards to get together with a friend of ours and give it to him so he could bring it to us on a visit to our home. We'd love to stay here again the next time we go to Homer.

Lean, convenient, comfortable

The apartment is located in a great spot- minutes from bishops beach, coffee shops, restaurants, bars- and is quiet, comfortable, modern, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you'd need. This was a great value and a perfect spot.

Cozy, clean, and comfortable

We had a great stay here! The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's also within close walking distance of a few restaurants, art galleries, and beautiful Bishop's Beach. We appreciated the notebook full of suggestions for places to eat, things to do, etc. This was the perfect place to end our Alaskan adventure week.

Building appears historic, but apparently new construction! Very nice.

Apartment is very clean, beautiful, well furnished and comfortable. We didn't do any cooking, other than to make some coffee in the morning but the tiny kitchen was well-appointed for its size. The lock box to get the house keys out and back in was a bit difficult, the latch was very hard to push down. Instead of locking the keys back in the box every time we went somewhere we just carried the keys. We would definitely stay here again!
