Nytt för semestermarknaden, välmöblerade och bekväma hem inom gångavstånd från kuststaden Amble.

Amble har en liten fiskehamn där du kan se dagens fångst. Skidor bildar en liten by som säljer en mängd olika konst, hantverk, smycken, mat och dryck och en söndagsmarknad. Det finns många restauranger, kaféer och vänliga pubar av god kvalitet i staden och dess omgivningar, liksom lokala butiker av god kvalitet.

Du kan besöka det närbelägna naturreservatet Hauxley eller gå mil på orörda stränder. Amble är också en idealisk bas för att utforska vår vackra kustlinje i Northumberland. Marknadsstaden Alnwick med den berömda Alnwick Castle och Alnwick Garden ligger bara 9 mil norrut och definitivt värt ett besök, du kan också komma in på Barter Books som är en av de största begagnade bokhandlarna i Britan, som inkluderar ett kafé där i vintern kan du sitta bredvid en brusande öppen eld.

Fantastic place to stay

The house was immaculate and looked so cosy and welcoming. There was an extensive welcome pack which was lovely. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

A great base to explore Northumberland coast and castles

Small but welcoming the property is very clean, well presented and decorated beautifully to represent the coastal town and area in which it is situated. An ideal base to explore this area of coast and castles. The hosts are very helpful.

This was probably the nicest holiday rental that I have come across. It was very clean and comfortable. Absolutely no faults at all. I would highly recommend Rachael's Rest as long as it doesn't get so busy that I can't get booked in again:))))

Rachael’s Rest truly is a home away from home. It is relaxing, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need for a break. We were pleased to have the option of dining out or eating in depending on how we felt on the day. Very convenient with having a Morrisons store close by. We would definitely stay here again should we be in the area.

A very comfortable base from which to explore the area

A second stay at this property - so it must be good. Can't think of anything else we needed whilst staying there. So much to see and do within a couple of hours drive. I think we'll be back again as we still haven't seen everything.

Lots of castles!

The property was great with lots of extras,very clean everything you could want. The only little thing was sofas very uncomfortable,but as the weather was good not in much. Lots of places to visit kept us busy for the week.

Lovely welcoming house with so many nice touches. Immaculately clean and very well maintained and presented. 15 minutes walk to Amble town centre & harbour etc so ideally located with the added advantage of parking at the property.

The accommodation was immaculate, well presented and comfortable with a generous welcome pack. A bit of traffic noise if out in the back garden. Lots to do in the area-we ran put of time so hope to return. A very friendly area to stay in.

A beautiful little house and great back garden

We absolutely loved this little property especially the lovely back garden. The property had everything we needed including an amazing and very generous welcome pack. The bed was extremely comfortable and had beautiful bedding. Location wise it was ideal for visiting Alnwick, Almouth and Warkwortn. Would definitely return at some point in the future.

Beautiful accomadation

Rachel’s Rest is such a comfy immaculately clean accomadation. We stayed 4 nights. It was home from home everything you need is at hand. Fully equipped kitchen comfy beds. Ten minute walk into amble where ther is restaurants cafes and pubs. The area where Rachel’s Rest is is really quiet and has a pretty back garden with table and chairs. The communication with the hosts Bruce and Maureen was excellent. So worth a visit and stay.

Restful Holiday

We use self-catering accommodation once or twice a year and this is one of the best we have stayed in. Bruce got in touch beforehand and was very helpful. There was a wonderful welcome pack awaiting our arrival and he checked via text while we were there. After leaving he kindly informed me of an item that was found and is sending it on. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts.

Amazing home with amazing host

Everything you could want from the welcome pack to the lovely bath towels. Excellent location to reach so many places that we found there was too much to fit in to our short stay so we will be back. Bruce went above and beyond when he discovered my husband had left his suit hanging in a wardrobe and arranged a link up with a friend of his to save us driving back from Edinburgh to collect it as it was needed for out visit to the Tattoo. Thank you Bruce you are a real gem.

Sight seeing holiday.

The proprerty is highly suitable for two people - it is very well equipped, very well presented and spotlessly clean. The location allowed us easy access to all points from Hadrians Wall to Berwick on Tweed. Excellent welcome pack too!

Lovely place to stay.

What a lovely base from which to explore the coast of Northumberland. Rachael's rest was scrupulously clean, modern and welcoming. The touches and treats added by Bruce and Maureen, the property owners were very much appreciated. It was also great to have a property with off-street parking. The property is situated within a ten minute walk into the small town of Amble as well as a quiet beach. We very much enjoyed sampling the delights of Amble. We would highly recommend The Fish Shack, La Famiglia, The Taj Mahal and Radcliffe's Cafe Bar.

Cannot fault this property 5 star in every department. A lot of thought had gone into the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. A lovely welcome pack on arrival and if needed easy contact with the owners.

Wonderful stay

Fabulous home

I’ve stayed in lots of holiday homes/ cottages and I have to say this house is amazing . It is so well equipped you really do not have to take anything with . Even the welcome pack is special .the hand bath towels are thick and new , the whole house is beautiful kept and if you get the sunshine the patio garden at the rear of the house is a real sun trap. Very easy to get into town a Morrison’s supermarket at the top of the road Just try it you won’t be disappointed 10/10
