Denna vackra fyra säsongsstuga är byggd som en vinter- eller sommarflykt för ett par eller en liten familj och är ett utmärkt sätt att uppleva Northwoods of Wisconsin. Hemmet är mycket privat och har stor tillgång till sjön, skogen och området Hayward.

Stugan ligger på 3. 5 tunnland med 350 fot fasad på Upper Twin Lake vilket gör en mycket privat upplevelse. Omgivningarna och utsikten är mycket naturliga. Huset i sig är av den klassiska arketypen Northwoods: 2 sovrum, 1 badrum, vedspis och gott om kök, vardagsrum, veranda och däckutrymme. Köket har grunderna för en stuga, sovrummen är mysiga och har bra sängar, och spisen håller dig varm på natten. Alla möbler är nya från våren 2016. Interiören uppdaterades också våren 2016.

Vi har gjort utrymmet så roligt som möjligt med en eldstad för att steka marshmallows, ett picknickområde och en brygga för din båt. Bryggan ligger i en grund vik, men det finns en kanal som ansluter till huvudsjön, så ponton, fiske och skidbåtar i alla storlekar kan säkert parkera vid bryggan.

Hemmet ligger på den nordöstra spetsen av Upper Twin Lake. Twin Lake är känt för sin fantastiska musky- och basfiske och klara vatten. Det är också stort och djupt nog för vattenskidor och slangar. Upper Twin ansluter till Lower Twin och Tiger Cat Flowage också, så det finns mycket vatten att utforska.

Om du vill koppla av privat med dina nära och kära är detta en plats som utstrålar familjetid. Oavsett om det är kanotpaddling på sjön, åka ut sjön till Blackiron Bar för en hamburgare, fånga färsk fisk till middag, cykla på skogsvägarna eller läsa på verandan, kommer du att kunna koppla av ostörd i detta unika Northwoods reträtt.

Vintern är en mycket speciell tid här ... ett riktigt vinterunderland. Snön är en orörd vit ... ensamheten på en nivå som tvingar dig att varva ner. Oavsett om det är en snösko längs sjöns strand, isfiske, en längdskidssession vid den närliggande birkien eller Mukwanago-leden, eller en helg med snöskoter ... vintern är en bra borttagningstid. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. The host left a lot of helpful info about shopping, dining, hiking, etc. The weather was not the best and we could not enjoy the lake, but the scenery is beautiful. The only issue we had was though it is "pet friendly" there are a lot of rules that were a little restrictive when it comes to pets.

We had a great stay at Mellow Marsh the week before Labor Day! The cabin was very clean and is well-equipped. The cabin is very comfortable and the view is fantastic. We got out and canoed and fished in the lake. We saw a bald eagle flying over the lake while we canoed and also saw him perched in a tree! The cabin is easy to get to, but well-secluded and private. At the same time, it is only fifteen minutes from Hayward that had everything we needed. Cassidy is a great host!

Gorgeous site with beautiful views from the cabin’s large front windows. Very comfortable cabin with all the amenities. The marshy area in front of the cabin by the dock had lots of wildlife including otters, mergansers, and loons. Although a bit more difficult, we had to load our kayak from the dock because of the deep mud near the shore made it impossible to step in the water. The kayaking was great on this beautiful quiet lake. Although advertised as a very private cabin on 3.5 acres, there is a rather large cabin quite close to the property which at times during our stay detracted from our privacy and the serenity.

By far the best cabin we’ve stayed in - very clean, necessities stocked, perfect view and access to the lake. Woke to the song of the loons, watched the eagles fish and the otters swim from the porch. Oh and the fishing wasn’t bad either! Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. A big thanks to hosts for sharing a little piece of paradise.

Great location

Nice property in a great location. Problem is there was no air conditioning and with the extensive heat at the beginning of our stay and the bad air quality due to the Canadian fires we were not able to enjoy the cabin as we would have liked. We ended up leaving one night early.

Upper Twin Lake Cabin

This northwoods cabin was nice. Check-in was super simple. The inside of the cabin was very tidy. The main reason we chose this cabin was for the enclosed porch with views of the lake. Downside, only two windows had screens which limited the lake breezes. Kayaking was good.

Great stay at this little gem! Very tidy and comfortable. Had a visit from a friendly doe each evening. Cabin well equipped with everything we needed. Bonsey (dog) loooved surveying his vacation kingdom from the little dock!!

Sister’s Lake Vacation

What a beautiful cabin and property! Chris and I were in awe the moment we drove up to the property, went down to the dock and went inside the cabin! It looked exactly like their pictures, clean and spacious, just beautiful! There is plenty of room to spread out and we had a fire every night inside as cool the 2nd week of June! We ventured out in the canoe on the lake, going to the sandy beach island. The best fishing was just out from the cabin, my sis catching 2 - 5 lb. bass and by the island to the left of the cabin.A word of wisdom to those who want to go in the water by the dock, don’t!!! Lol! We had brought our kayaks, getting in off the dock. I tipped mine, ending up in the water and sunk in mud up to my thighs! It took a bit to get out, but I was laughing by the time I got out! When you get out by the swim raft and beyond, the water is clear and deep! We want to come back again already but need a full week next time! Thank you for sharing your piece of Northwoods heaven!

Lovely stay at Mellow Marsh

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property. We have spent over 25 years vacationing in northern MN and WI at resorts and this was our first rental of a private cabin. Beautifully maintained property inside and out. On a quiet marsh that takes you to the lake, so we saw an eagle, loons, ducks, geese, and heron along with all kinds of other wildlife. Clean cabin with a well equipped kitchen and dry wood for the fireplace (rare in our experience). Great to have space between our cabin and neighbors so quiet and private. Very responsive owner. Plan to return next year!

Charming cabin on quiet lake

I and a friend had a lovely writers' retreat on this lakeside cabin with a beautiful view and a fireplace. The host responded quickly to our questions, and we felt as comfortable as if we were at home. A beautiful view from the porch and within easy driving distance from the Twin Cities.

Amazing cabin!

We loved this property! It’s absolutely stunning! Everything was clean. The canoe was a blast to take out on the lake. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely book again!

Breathtaking views!

We decided last minute to get away for a quick, midweek relaxation trip. We now wish we’d booked this cabin for a week! Check-in was a breeze, the cabin was spotless, and the western facing view of the lake was gorgeous at every hour of the day. The cabin is set back on a picturesque, tree-framed road with little to no traffic. We enjoyed morning walks with our coffee, and late nights around the campfire with our cocktails. (All firewood was provided!) We just can’t say enough great things about this place! Thanks for a great stay - we will definitely be back!

Great!- As described and what I expected

Very much enjoyed this house on upper twin lakes. Beautiful scenery, lake views and peace and quiet. The house was accurately described and all the pictures depicted what we saw and experienced. Communication was responsive and had no issues or unanswered questions regarding arrival. The beautiful weather, 80 in late September showcased the property,well but made for a tough Musky bite.

I grew up in Hayward and love everything about the area and Northwoods experience. I fish the lakes and rivers for muskies, ski the Birkie, and have even won a few titles at the Lumberjack World Championships held in Hayward every July.

I bought this cabin in 2015 knowing that it would be a great place to get away on weekends and holidays. We also knew that it would be a great vacation rental as it is on a great lake in a great area. I work in the real estate industry as a developer/salesperson/investor, and have been renting other homes on VRBO for 10 years now, so I know what it takes to give guests the experience they are looking for.

Varför värden valde detta boende

It is a classic cabin on a classic lake, but with an updated aesthetic. You can do it all here: boat, fish, bike, ski, swim, or just relax. The location is great, 11 miles east on 77 from Hayward, so you are close enough to town to have fun there, but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Twin Lake is a great lake - clear, lots of fish, but not too many people with big boats pushing up wakes. It is the perfect mix of wilderness and fun. For winter time fun, the Birkie and Mukwanago ski trails are nearby as are several snowmobile trails.

The home is on a 5 acre lot, so it is very private. Other houses are a significant distance away. It is also newly remodeled and furnished as of spring 2016.
