The views were amazing and the hosts were very responsive to our needs. Many nights we shut down the air and enjoyed the trade winds. Daily we enjoyed turtles in the bay, surfers, sunsets, and listening to the waves. We’re missing it already! Recommendations for restaurants are Cabana Bar and Grill, Tide Pools, Mama Bears Kitchen food truck, and our favorite was the island Market place at Coconut Marketplace in Kapaa for Teriyaki chicken and Moco Loco. Highly recommend catching the sunset on the other side of the Beach House and snorkeling at Poipu Beach to see the turtles, remember fins or water shoes for the rocky entry. Kƍloa Rum safari, Wailua River tour to Secret Falls was a great workout, Backcountry Tubing and of course Waimea Canyon. Wonderful trip to celebrate my retirement. Mahalo for opening on your home to us. Highly recommend this condo!

Oceanfront stay in Poipu

The light-filled corner unit practically hung over the crashing surf - delightful! An older unit so plenty of space. Well equipped - the mattress was extremely comfortable. Right next to our favorite restaurant - the Beach House - and a good snorkeling beach.

Loved it!

What a beautiful home we stayed in! Outstanding ocean and bay views. Loved being on the third floor, had total privacy and enjoyed seeing numerous turtles cruising by. Condo was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. King bed was comfy and loved listening to the waves break just yards away while falling alseep. A/C was wonderful to have. Perfect location as many resturants or stores are just a few minutes away. Visited our three favorite restaurants again. Tidepools, Keoki's, and Gaylords. Enjoyed the Sugarloaf Pineapple Farm and highly recommend the Makai Golf Course Sunset Tour. Inexpensive and was the highlight of our trip!

Magnificent Views!

We spent a week in this delightful corner condo and the views are spectacular! There’s a beautiful cove to the east and open ocean to the south. Breathtaking! Every day we enjoyed watching surfers and turtles from the balcony. The living area in the condo is bright, very spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is well designed and well equipped. The king bed is comfortable and there is ample storage; a huge closet, a chest of drawers, and two night stands. Window shutters in the bedroom provide privacy and darkness for late sleepers. There are coin operated laundry facilities on each floor. We loved the condo complex location. There’s a fabulous restaurant right next door, The Beach House, which has excellent food and lawn seating overlooking the ocean. The small beach next to that is great for snorkeling. We saw so many colorful fish! I would not hesitate to book this beautiful place!

Turtles, and Surfers, and Views Oh My!!!!

We cannot say enough about this property....it was just perfect!!! The condo is super clean and is well appointed...everything you would need for your stay is there. Really appreciated having beach chairs and umbrellas (boogie boards also there) and beach towels. The corner unit affords great views from the deck and all the windows. The bedroom is situated on the ocean side, so it is quiet and cool with the ocean breezes. Air conditioning has been installed but we never put it on....the ocean breezes all we needed. We sat on the lanai every day....with our coffee, with our meals, with just each other.....listening to the waves crash below and watching the turtles and surfers....great entertainment!!!! The Kuhio Shores property is professionally kept up...bar-b-ques available, small library of books in the lobby in case you forgot, elevators available (we always used the stairs) We can go on and on....but hopefully you get the picture....this Kuhio Shores corner unit is a perfect spot to stay when on Kauai.

We love this spot! Amazing views! Nice and big for two people. Everything you could need. The people who own the condo are super nice, they happened to be staying at their other condo on the first floor. Right outside is great snorkeling! Very thankful for the a/c as well! The perfect south shore property

This Kuhio Shores #309 rental was the most well equipped of all the VRBO rentals I've ever stayed in. Usually there is something missing, either flatware, toilet paper, whatever,...but not here. It had everything you could imagine and more. More pots and pans, towels, sheets, paper goods, even a drawer full of various ziplock bags! And the view is AMAZING. Every afternoon we watched turtles frolicking in the surf below the lanai and the adjacent Lawai beach had some pretty decent snorkeling for Kauai. The location is also perfect, being near all the south shore hot spots. In conclusion we loved our stay. A+

True paradise. Love this corner unit condo. Will definitely stay here again. It has everything. Clean. Comfy bed. Full kitchen. Unmatched views of the ocean. Turtles right outside the windows all day long. Minutes from Poipu Beach and shopping. Beach House restaurant right next door is the best on the island. This was exactly what my wife and I were hoping for on Kauai. Check out Kauai Coffee Company. Condo host is real good communicator. Mahalo!

Amazing place

We loved this place. It was beautiful. The views were stunning could see sunset and sunrise. The bed was very comfy - we had everything we needed. The beach chairs umbrella and towel were perfect for us to explore the island. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We are a family of seven (Girls 3, Boys 2) plus 5 grandkids and live in Southern California. We love to travel to new places but always enjoy coming back to our 'Home away from home' on Kauai.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The entire family loves the water so Kauai is a perfect place to play. We have owned Kuhio Shores #309 for over 40 years and purchased a second unit (#109) in Spring 2020.
Surfing, boogie boarding, diving, kayaking and enjoying the ocean views and sea life from our condo's lanai makes Kuhio Shores #109 & #309 perfect for us. We can enjoy these activities right out front while other family members can watch from the lanai.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Even though we have been coming to Kauai for over 40 years, sometimes several times a year, we still find new things to do and wonders to see. Petroglyphs at Maha'ulepu Beach, the Awa'awapuhi Swamp Trail, Lawai Beach (restricted access), ocean kayaking to Kipu Kai, Kalihiwai rope swing, river Kayaking (Hanalei, Waimea, Kalihiwai), swimming behind Hanakapi'ai Falls on the Napali coast, Secret Beach, the list goes on. Our condo is central, 1 hr. from the west end of Polihale Beach and 90 minutes to the other end at Ke'e Beach. Of course sometimes the best thing is just to kick back on our lanai and watch the whales, surfers and turtles with a cold drink in hand.
