Om boendet

Vi inbjuder dig till ön Manitoulin. Vår stuga är tillgänglig året runt, och har alla bekvämligheter i ett hem (inklusive även en diskmaskin, samt en tvättmaskin och torktumlare).

Ligger på lugna vatten Manitowaning Bay, kommer du säkert att trivas. Stugan har två sovrum, befälhavaren är särskilt rymliga. Vi kan ta emot upp till sex gäster, med en utdragbar soffa.

Stugan är placera på en väg utanför Highway 6, ungefär halvvägs mellan South Baymouth (Ferry terminalen) och Little Current (där det finns tillgång till ön med bron).

Fiske är utmärkt (gädda är rikligt). En världsrekord öring fångades i North Channel förra hösten.

Det finns en propan grill till förfogande för alla våra gäster. TV, video och DVD finns också. Gästerna ombeds att ta med sig egna sängkläder. Eftersom ingen rökning är tillåten i stugan.

Championship golf är i närheten på Rainbow Ridge (skryt de snabbaste greener i norra Ontario).

Lokala restauranger är bra, med många erbjuda lokal delikatess av sik från Lake Huron (två av våra favoriter är The Old Schoolhouse i Providence Bay och The Garden Gate Restaurant i Tehkummah).

Peace and quiet

Paradise!!!

Amazing cottage! I spent the week here to refuel and recharge and I will coming back! The view is spectacular, the deck facing east and feeling that morning sun was the best way to start my day. It’s a short drive to the village and perfectly located to visit the area. A MUST!

We had a Great Time! Love the location

The Property is wonderful! We loved the Beach, the Deck, the surrounding area. There is lots of room and the wife loved the kitchen. Can't say enough good things about the location. .... only one thing I would change, and this is just me, I really missed not seeing the Baseball Playoffs so having a sports channel that plays live would make it 1000 percent, :) ... but again, this is just me. The Place was awesome! the time we spent there went waaaay to fast, wish I could do it all over again, sooner than later Thank you Doug and Zein,

Sunsite Estates Cottage

I stayed at this cottage for three weeks in April while I was working in the area, and it was everything I was looking for, plus more. The location is convenient and the view of the bay is spectacular. The cottage was very clean upon arrival. Also, having the barbecue available to use was a huge bonus! The hosts were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a home base for adventures on this beautiful island.

Beautiful Cottage

This is a beautiful cottage on the lake. The sunrises in the morning are spectacular, and there is a deck where you can sit to relax and listen to the water and birds. The cottage is exceptionally clean and has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation!

First Family and Friend get away

I’ve got a daughter who has epilepsy and a list of other complications. 2 years ago she had surgery that started us on a much more positive path. This is our first ever family vacation just myself and my 2 daughters. I invited my childhood friend to come along after reconnecting and this is exactly what we all needed! We will be back and plan on making this an annual event! Thank you for hosting us on our first island venture

A stay at Manitowaning Bay

We had a lovely time at this cottage! It is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We loved the view of the water, and being able to walk down to our own private beach. I'd say we spent the majority of our time on the deck or by the water, enjoying the peace, quiet, nature and sunshine. It was a lovely, peaceful week. We very much hope to return again next year!

Family holiday

We had great family holiday! The cottage was a home away from home! Everything was exactly the way we thought it would be. Nice and quite right at the end of a very quite road. Right at the water. We were able to kayak and swim. Did some fishing but was unable to catch anything. Totally awesome trip we’re totally stay here again!

Manitoulin Getaway

A lovely relaxing space along the shore! Easy access for kayaks! Beautiful spacious kitchen for gourmet cooks! Could have used a few more pots and better quality fry pans. BBQ needs updating. There were no garbage bags available. Unusual amount of earwigs would recommend putting up traps in bathroom. Communication with our host was excellent. I would recommend having a guest binder for information about the area and guidelines for wifi and garbage site operating hours. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!!

Relaxing Getaway that has further potential

Communication was super easy and Douglas was quick to respond. Internet access can be iffy. Comforters didn't help to keep the chill out so would suggest warmer ones for late summer, mattresses need replaced. . .was a difficult sleep with the queen bed where you could feel the springs. Kitchen is beautiful but needs a severe upgrade for cookware - pans and pots were clearly abused by others and the best frying pan and pot were Betty Crocker brand. . .I love to cook so a little more judgemental in this area. Also, plates and bowls were chipped, again likely from poor use of others. Beach chairs and a firepit would be awesome additions for future guests. Some other improvements would be screendoor replaced on front door, sliding door fixed with proper lock so it remains shut and doesn't have a gap that allows bugs to continue coming in and the biggest thing would be to fix the shower/tub handle which goes cold in the hot direction, and a mix of both cold and hot at the bottom of the cold direction with the showerhead leaking water out. We truly enjoyed our stay but found some pf the neighbours from up the road noisey, especially as we headed into the long weekend with muaic blaring late into the night a few cottages over. Next door neighbour cottage dwellers were quiet and therefore lovely, they kept to themselves. Beach is very rocky as is the water but has a ton of quartz and fossils for those who love to collect or hunt for the aforementioned. Recommend watershoes. Thank you
