1930 stuga med helt modern interiör

Detta timmerstuga byggdes i Beaver National Forest öster om Sheridan, Montana på 1930-talet av ägarnas farföräldrar och flyttade 2010. För närvarande är belägen 1 ½ miles väster om Alder, Montana på en ranch. Även utsidan förblir rustik, har interiören helt byggts om. Det ligger en mil från en Ruby River fiske tillgång, i hjärtat av några av Montana bästa fiske. Det finns också en enkel enhet till Madison, Jefferson, Beaver och Big Hole Rivers. Bortsett från fiske, erbjuder området otaliga utomhusaktiviteter, inklusive fågel och storviltsjakt, fågelskådning, vandring, granat jakt och längdskidåkning. Historisk Virginia City / Nevada City är en tio minuters bilresa.
Stugan har en king size-säng i det stora rummet och en rulla säng i sovrummet. Badrummet är utrustat med en dusch och pentry erbjuder en spishäll, brödrost, kaffekanna, och dubbla handfat. Den stora däck är inredd med utemöbler och en gasolgrill. Träd i norr skapar integritet på däck ännu fantastisk utsikt över bergen finns i överflöd i alla riktningar.

Montana at its best!

It was a terrific cabin and I good location for us. The outside of the cabin preserved its vintage 1930s heritage while the inside was modern and new. Very comfortable with wonderful hosts.

Perfect Cabin

We came out on a fly fishing trip. This is a perfect cabin within close proximity of multiple trout streams. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed.

Cozy cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was rustic on the outside with modern amenities on the inside. Very inviting and cozy at the end of a long day in YNP! The rural area is just what we love with Mountain View’s out of every window. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Peace And Quiet

If you want peace and quiet this is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We received a recommendation from a friend who stayed here and we are so glad we did. Easy booking, responded quickly, and very accommodating when we needed to change our dates. We truly got the Montana experience!!!

Beautiful setting, and cottage. Could not have asked for more. Will stay there on our next trip. The owners were wonderful as was the local residents that we were able to chat with at the local bar. Our daily and evening visitor "Grizz" made us feel at home as did Julie and Dave. Would highly recommend this beautiful property to visit. Thank you again

A beautiful little spot

We really enjoyed our time at Julie's cabin. We went to Yellowstone several days, and although it's a bit of a drive, it's a pretty drive. Griz and Junie Bug are so sweet, and we enjoyed watching the horses too. Montana is such a beautiful state. We also enjoyed the cooler weather. Hopefully, we can come back one day.

Perfect Getaway

We came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot. So peaceful and quite. Lots of natural beauty to take in. The hosts were kind and friendly. Would definitely come back!!! Griz is so cute. We fell in love with him.

Southwestern Montana Gem

We stayed 9 nights at the 1930s cabin in July 2018. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and was located not far out of Alder, Montana. We were traveling as a couple and our adult child joined us for our stay in the cabin. Julie was a great host. The cabin easily accommodated 3 adults and the beds were very comfortable. The cabin is very cute and decorated nicely. We found it to be very comfortable. The weather was hot, but the cabin stayed very nice and cool, so it was enjoyable to come home to after a day of exploring the area. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evenings visiting and barbecuing. In the mornings we took some nice 3 mile walks and saw quite a few pronghorn antelope nearby every morning and some sandhill cranes. We enjoyed many activities while in the area. We brought our driftboat and did some fly fishing on the Jefferson and the Madison Rivers. (A shout out for a great reliable shuttle service in Ennis called Rocket Shuttle, all shuttles $30.) The Big Hole River was too low for our larger drift boat, so we did some fishing from the bank. We also brought our mountain bikes and found great places to ride them. The Ruby Reservoir isn't far from this cabin. We enjoyed the nearby towns of Virginia City and Nevada City quite a few days for exploring, enjoyed ice cream, Bob's Pizza, Chinese food, and the "Dawg and Grog Brewfest." We loved Ennis and visited Willie's Distillery, a great place known for their Huckleberry liqueur. The Ennis Cafe serves a great pasty for lunch and pies. Just a little something we learned about Ennis when you get off the river late, there aren't a lot of restaurants that are open later in Ennis, many are just open for breakfast and lunch. The Gravel Bar and a few others are open for dinner. Other towns to enjoy in the area are Sheridan, Twin Bridges, and Dillon. Dillon has the Beaverhead Brewery and a Patagonia Outlet. If you are new to the area check out Bannack, Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway, Humbug Spires trail near Divide is a beautiful trail, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Butte historical district, Our Lady of the Rockies, and Thompson Pass Recreation are great day trips. One highlight was our all day trip to the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. We drove the loop from Alder to Lima, then over Red Rock Pass, to Henry's Lake, and back through Ennis, then back to Alder. We saw deer, elk, antelope, swans, and pelicans. There are lots of choices for any interest in the area.

A++++ Experience!!!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was perfect for my son and I and it had "home comfort" written all over it! The best part of the cabin though was Griz! If you wonder who Griz is, rent this cabin! You won't regret it!

Cabin Getaway

The stay could not have gone better. The location was quiet, peaceful and close to Montana history spots. Virginia City was a highlight and we would recommend the plays at the playhouse. My wife wanted to sneak Griz the ranch dog into her baggage, but a dog the size of a small horse would have been too conspicuous!

I was raised on a ranch in the Ruby Valley and, likewise, my husband and I raised our family here. For 26 years I taught English, journalism, speech, etc. in Sheridan High School, but am now retired and enjoying winters in Mexico.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The cabin was built by my husband's grandfather in the 1930's for family recreation. Husband and son rescued the cabin in 2010 when the Forest Service threatened to burn it down.
