Vackert strandhus beläget i önskvärt Surfside Beach, South Carolina, bara åtta mil söder om Myrtle Beach. Detta hus ligger inom 100 fot från den vita sandstranden i det stora Atlanten. Surfside Beach är känd som 'Family Beach' och erbjuder många attraktioner för alla åldrar. Men om action är vad du vill ... så är actionfyllda Myrtle Beach bara några minuter bort.

Vårt hus, känt som "Junebug's Retreat", stod klart i maj 2006. Det ersatte vårt familjestrandshus, 'The Fourth Estate', som satt på samma land från och med '63. Under åren gav detta hem roligt och gemenskap för vår familj, och vår önskan är att "Junebug's Retreat" kommer att fortsätta ge roligt och gemenskap för vår familj och andra.

Huset har 5BR och 5. 5BA. Den första våningen innehåller ett sovrum med eget badrum med bubbelbad, .5 badrum i hallen, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, fullt utrustat kök, matplats och vardagsrum med 40 "Smart TV. Alla golv på första våningen är lövträ med undantag för badrummen som har kakel. Tak på 1: a och 2: a nivån är jämna 9ft tak. Det finns 2 verandor från första våningen, en stor öppen veranda på framsidan av huset och en skärmad veranda på baksidan av huset som har utsikt över den underbara trädgården w / pool. För din bekvämlighet finns det en hiss som går till 1: a våningen. Den andra nivån har 4BR och 4BA. Tre av sovrummen har badrum, det fjärde sovrummet använder ett hallbad. Alla rum har takfläktar och LED-tv. Det finns matta i sovrummen, kakel i badrummen och lövved i korridoren och trappan. Det finns också en veranda på 2: a nivån med 2 sovrum på framsidan av huset.

Det finns parkering för minst 3 fordon under huset och 4 i uppfarten. Det finns en gasgrill i ett grillplats på sidan av huset samt ett bord med 4 stolar under huset för din bekvämlighet. Trädgårds- / poolområdet är vackert. Hela området är sten förutom 2 planteringsområden som vardera har en palmträd och diverse växter. Great property

This property has it all. Short walk to the beach even for little ones, nice pool, and grill area. The house has everything you need, plenty of dishes, cups and utensils for a family gathering, all the bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of towels and amenities. Property owner was great communicating everything you needed to know. I will definitely try to rent this property again.

Excellent Experience

Overall, we had a great time largely because of the layout and location to easy beach access. Having the elevator was very important for my mom and it allowed her to access the house and private pool with ease. The kitchen is a bit small but we worked out a system and managed just fine.

Absolutely Amazing House and Host

We had the most wonderful time at Junebugs Retreat. The views and closeness to everything (especially the beach) was great, plus having a private pool was a huge perk. So many good restaurants to choose from in walking distance or a short drive, The house had everything needed, plenty of beds and baths for everyone. Pretty much anything you needed was also there. Meg is an amazing host, she even brought us a new Keurig coffee pot to use during our stay. If you are looking for a family friendly house in a great location for vacation look no further, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect family getaway

this was our first time to rent thru VRBO and we were very pleased. Meg was an amazing host and extremely accommodating. The house was better than imagined and perfect for our growing family with grandkids. The pool was nice to have in addition to the beach which is just a short walk. Highly recommend. So many lovely touches in this home.

Perfect all around

You can’t go wrong with this location it’s steps from the beach and perfect if you have children. The pool is a big plus as is the space inside the house! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Meg, the owner, was wonderful to deal with and super responsive!! Highly recommend!

Excellent . It was absolutely perfect . Wonderful location , clean , kitchen stocked with necessities. A day at the beach , followed by poolside and within walking ( or golf cart) distance to so many things . Our car stayed put. Highly recommend .

Wonderful accommodations!

The house was perfect for our family. The house was clean upon arrival and Meg was quick to answer any questions we had. We could hardly get the grandkids out of the private pool to have dinner! The house is in a great location with a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to Murrell’s Inlet to have a meal at some great restaurants. We had a lot of rain during our stay, however it didn’t keeps us from making some great family memories playing cards and board games that were provide by the owner.

Great house

Had a wonderful stay at June Bug's retreat. House and pictures are exactly as described, very short walk to beach. We had one small issue with air conditioning which was fixed within 20 minutes. Backyard and pool are very private. Elevator was a lifesaver with the luggage. Surfside Beach is great for families. Thanks June for a great stay. We will definitely be back.

Great stay

Had a great time with family and friends. Owners were super responsive. Upon arrival, a porch chair was broken and the owners had a whole new (and improved) set delivered pronto. The pool was a great retreat after a day at the beach and the location was fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach. Loved the screened porch to relax in the evenings. The house was very clean, too. One update, there’s a charcoal grill rather than a gas grill (which was listed in the description.) Would definitely return.

Love our Family Vacations

The property manager is awesome and didn't get annoyed with me contacting her more than once. The home is in a great location for beach access and has a service elevator for taking your luggage up and down to living area. This house has everything. The most well stock kitchen I have ever seen. My only suggestion is a empty cabinet or space to store groceries and snacks. Love the proximity to the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet. Location is perfect, house is great. Can't say enough good things about the property manager. You will love your stay at this property.

Great Stay!

We loved staying at Junebug's retreat! The house smelled great and was very clean. Providing linens, soaps, and paper products was a huge bonus and not common with other rentals in the area! The bedrooms were very sound-proof with solid doors, which was helpful for our younger kids who napped. The location was so close to the beach and in a cute neighborhood - felt more quaint than other areas of Surfside. Only two points as a heads up to others - being the first of a row of houses from the corner means you're butting up against many other neighbors on the main street and their pools. Our neighbors were respectful and quiet, but the back porch didn't feel as private as I had hoped. It also would've been nice to have some basic supplies like tupperware, ziplock bags or plastic wrap/foil. We cooked a lot and had very little options to store leftovers. We adjusted, but you might want to pack some. We'd definitely stay here again!

Fell a little short for us

Meg was very nice and easy to communicate with. The air conditioner ended up not working adequately on the second floor. It was miserable for a day or 2, but she actually had it replaced while we were there. The house seems older and definitely needs some updating within. The dishwasher especially- it was not draining properly but we made it work. I had to take a part the drawer where laundry detergent goes and scrub it because it was caked with mold. I also scrubbed the coffee pot and the dish drainer. It just could use an overall deep clean because my kids feet were dirty after first arriving. We paid more for this house than we ever have and it just came up a little short to our expectations. We also had a lot of trouble with the wifi signal. It seemed to be very weak and slow.

Close to the beach

Spacious home, each room had a bathroom which is great. Close walk to the beach, especially if you have to haul beach stuff with you. Pool area was nice, had to contact Meg to make aware that pool hadn’t been cleaned while we were there. She was very responsive and pool was cleaned the next day. Close to other homes, do you can hear neighbors, ok during the day, but at night some of the neighbors were out till 3am in their pool area and they were loud. Great stay at Junebug.

Great House

What a great house, location and everything about it. Short walk to the beach, fully furnished kitchen, nice pool, plenty of room on decks and porches for socializing. Best beach trip ever, certainly will be returning again.

Surfside during COVID

We had a great time here. It was a great location. We were so close to the beach and had our own private pool. It allowed us to have some fun and break the routine of staying at home. We did not explore as we wanted to continue to social distance as much as possible. Most rooms have their own bathroom which is wonderful when there are different families, it allows for more privacy. The Pool was cleaned throughout our stay which was nice. The other homes are very close but there was never excessive noise. The beach sis get crowded but never so much that I felt I was close to others. The beds were comfortable and all the sheets and even comforter are washed after every visit. Meg was very helpful and responsive with any questions or issues we had. We hope to return again.

Wonderful time st June bug!

We had a great time the beach house was great there was 10 adults 2 small children everything described in the details was exceptional. Meg responded promptly when the fridge went out. The pool was a welcome site from returning from a hot hot day at the beach.

This isn't just a beach house, it's a beach home. Love has been put into decorating and making it feel more like your home. There are many books throughout the house as well as board games for the whole family to enjoy. There are 3 porches...2 on the front of the home and 1 screened porch overlooking the beautiful backyard and pool.

Only steps to the beach and the public access is directly in front of the house. The backyard and pool area is like a resort and very private, unlike many homes in the area.
