lovely place to relax
We stayed in this beautiful villa just outside Biot for a week in September this year. This is the perfect time to visit the South of France as the weather is still lovely but all the summer crowds have left.
As two couples, we didn’t really need such a large house but we booked late in the day and there weren’t many properties available. The villa has five bedrooms so there was plenty of space for us to knock about. We chose the 2 largest bedrooms but all 5 are doubles.
We were met on arrival by the check-in agent who welcomed us and showed us around. She also gave us her phone number in case of emergencies (which we thankfully didn’t need). There is space in the drive to park 2-3 cars but there are also spaces outside the house on the road if needs be. The villa is set in a quiet domain of about 20 houses. There is no through traffic so it is very peaceful.
Because the house is built on a slope, you enter upstairs with 3 of the bedrooms on this level. Down a flight of stairs are the living area, kitchen, two further bedrooms and the garden/pool. We later learned that the house has just been newly renovated and it shows. The bathrooms are beautiful and the kitchen is very smart with all mod cons. We particularly liked the coffee machine!
Outside there is a lovely, large covered terrace leading on to the pool area. The infinity pool looks out into the forest. There is a swimming jet at one end which we tried out – lots of fun. The pool is heated.
Other good points are the gas barbecue and the modern TV which has Netflix etc. One thing missing is a dvd player and some movies to watch but the owner tells us he is going to get this sorted soon.
