2 Dartview erbjuder utmärkt bottenvåning boende för ett par eller ensamresen��rer som vill utforska Dartmouth och South Devon. Njut av flodutsikt över hamnen och över till Kingswear Lägenheten är bekvämt beläget på Newcomen Road, ett par minuters promenad från floden och stadens centrum samt att vara på väg till Dartmouths historiska slott och sydvästra vägen. Lägenheten ligger i bottenvåningen i detta imponerande gamla hus. Medan det inte finns någon parkering på plats finns det utrymme att stanna utanför för att lasta och ett parkeringspass * för Mayors Avenue Car Park.

Boende:

Några steg upp till ytterdörren av byggnaden leder till en gemensam hall. Husdörrens ytterdörr öppnar in i vardagsrummet med kompakt kök med ugn, mikrovågsugn, keramikhäll och kylskåp med islåda. Sittplatsen har två soffor, TV med DVD-spelare, gas eld och matbord och stolar sätta i fönstret, med underbar utsikt över floden. Det finns ett sovrum på baksidan av fastigheten med en dubbelsäng. Badrummet med badkar, dusch över, toalett och handfat, tvättmaskin / torktumlare. Resesäng och barnstol finns på begäran.

I närheten:

En trappsteg mittemot egenskapen tar dig ner till floden vid Bayards Cove, den här historiska kullerstens katedralen var där Mayflower stannade innan de gick ut för sin resa till Amerika. I slutet av Bayards Cove ligger de historiska ruinerna av en av Dartmouths försvar och i andra änden hittar du The Dartmouth Arms perfekt för att njuta av en drink på vattenkanten och lite bra pubmat. På södra embanken hittar du ett antal pubar och restauranger, inklusive The Seahorse och Rockfish som ägs av kändis kock Mitch Tonks samt Bayards Inn och Bellini's Bar. Uppför kullen från lägenheten kommer du snart att plocka upp västkusten och Dartmouth Castle.

* Parkeringspasset är giltigt över s��dra hamnarna för användning i långvariga ruttbanor, så väl som Dartmouth kan du parkera gratis på Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge och Modbury.

3 night stay in mid June

My daughter had a cottage which was in excellent decorative order much better than our cottage, ours needed some TLC throughout. Excellent position overlooking the river Dart and close to town centre. I would recommend for a few nights stay

2 Dartview apartment

This particular apartment did not suit our needs because of its location to the noisy front doors. As all age groups stay there, we were disturbed by the flats above and there late night returning. Therefore it did not suit our ur age group.

Nice apartment. Great view.

This is a very nice apartment, conveniently situated near to shops, restaurants and Dartmouth's stunning waterfront. We started each of our three days stay eating breakfast at a table overlooking the view in the photograph. Fabulous. The flat was well equipped with two settees, a good kitchenette, TV etc. The bedroom at the back was dark but comfortable if small. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and was spotlessly clean. This was a great base for us to see Dartmouth's free music festival, taking place at various venues inside and outdoors, an amazing experience, all within walking distance.

A Room with a View

Excellent view, albeit over rooftops, of the Lower Ferry and across to Kingswear. Also across the marina to Steam Railway comings and goings. The property was clean and well presented. MINUS points; Rear, Large Bedroom, smelt musty on arrival and as it backs onto a cliff face a bit chilly in April. The radiator was ineffective/inoperative. After a day sufficient heat permeated from Living Room, small (single) bedroom and bathroom to make it bearable. NEST heat controller seemed to have a mind of its own and electric fire was necessary during evenings (in April). Only one glass tumbler, and for "oldies" no teapot (used cafetiere!)

Not to our liking

Very convenient for town and with a nice view. Bedrooms small and with little natural light. Main bed felt cold all the time and the room had some black mould in one corner of wall. Didn't use wardrobes as they smelled musty.

Clean and nicely located Dartmouth flat.

This is the second time we have stayed in this flat, and the location is the main attraction for us. It is clean and comfortable with helpful details in the Welcome Pack.

Short stay at Dartview

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at flat 2, 38 Dartview. The flat was spotlessly clean when we arrived . The view from the flat window was amazing and it’s a short walk from Dartmouth front. The bed was very comfortable, although the room was a little dark. There is also a second bedroom with a single bed.

Damp and Ants

On our arrival it was clear that the flat had not been cleaned or the bed sheets and towels changed. We phoned the housekeeper who thought we were not due until Tuesday! She apologised and within 10 minutes she arrived with a colleague to make the bed, provide clean towels and clean the flat. The flat is in a great location but suffers with damp in the bedroom, ant infestation and poor natural light in the main bedroom. The CH system was controlled by a NEST appliance which we could not get to work therefore every morning woke up to a damp and cold bedroom.

Small apartment in great location

Well situated close to town centre and waterfront, but calm and peaceful. Beautiful view over Dart estuary. Parking pass was useful as parking can be difficult in Dartmouth. We had a couple of problems (including ants, as mentioned in a previous review) but cannot fault the speed of Dart Valley Cottages' response. Kitchen area rather cramped; bedroom quite cold and dark.

Dartview 2

A very pleasant flat in a good location. Advertised as a one bedroom flat when in fact there are two bedrooms, which means our son could have visited as well if we had known. A small problem with ants, quickly dealt with. Some issues with understanding the heating system - it was usually cold in the bedroom. There is a need for kitchen utensils that are useable on the non-stick frying pan.

A week for rest and relaxation

Beautiful spot with lovely view of the Dart estuary. Shame it's on the ground floor! Not easy to find! We arrived in the dark and pouring rain. Porch door was closed so not obvious that you have to open the door to access the porch. It just looked like the front door to a house. On the wall outside the door to the porch it said 38 Dartview, rather misleading. Clearer instructions would be helpful. Such as open door next to sign 38 Dartview, where you will find the key safe. Car park is quite a walk from the flat, which was fine for us but not sure the distance is made clear in the information about the property. Although the property was generally clean, the crockery, glasses and cutlery had clearly not been washed properly and so the first thing we had to do was to wash and dry all the items we were going to use before we could cook our meal. The fridge had also not been thoroughly cleaned as there were greasy marks inside and even a lump of butter/margarine still on the front of one of the shelves. However, we had a lovely relaxing week here. Handy Co-op a couple of minutes walk away and lots of lovely places to eat. Particularly the Floating Bridge, (we went there 3 times), for a Sunday Roast, delicious fish & chips and mussels and Sea Bass on our last night. Excellent value for money, more so than many of the other restaurants, which are overly expensive.

October short break

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in Dartmouth, which we know reasonably well having visited many times on our boat over the years. There is plenty to do around this beautiful area. The apartment is in a very convenient location and as the parking permit was provided there was no problem with reasonably secure parking. The apartment itself is a little dated and extremely compact, however we don’t spend very much time indoors when away as there’s so much to see and do. All linen and towels provided although the quality and size of towels wasn’t our usual standard, and one of them was stained, although I’m sure they were clean. Just attention to detail really. Instructions for access could have been sent a little earlier, as once we had left home early in the morning, having no access to WiFi caused issues with access instructions.

SWCP WALKING BREAK

2 Dartview

This was an excellent stay, with a central location yet no street noise at night. What a view! The only thing that was negative was the walls were thin and a loud snorer kept me awake during my stay! Also perhaps fitting a google chrome cast box would mean people could watch Netflix etc From the lounge and the wifi didn’t work in the bedroom. Overall super! Xx

Good but with 2 pieces of advice

Nice flat with great view of the estuary. 2 things; 1. The directions were excellent until we arrived at the flat. Then, while we looked for 2 Dartview, we should have been looking for Flat 2, 38 Dartview (can't remember the street name). There is no such address as just 2 Dartview so the directions should make it clear it is a flat within a house called Dartview. 2. Though the flat provided a parking pass for use in the town parking 5 mins walk away parking spaces in that park were very difficult to get even though the town seemed to have plenty of tourist accommodation available - parking must be very difficult in the town in the high season. 2 Dartview

The flat was smaller than anticpated, and we didn't like the fact that there was no proper daylight in the bedroom. We also found the kitchen difficult to use due to the lack of work surface; it was actually more difficult to cook in than it is in our caravan. The bed was extremely comfortable and the flat had excellent views. The flat was very clean and everything was in good order.

Lovely quiet place to stay for two.

The Apartment was a quiet and comfortable place with the added bonus of a parking place in town, if available? (Which for us ,it was ) The apartment had a lovely view over to Kingswear.

Dartview

Redelijk appartement, prachtig uitzicht over de Dartmouth haven. Voorzieningen waren aanwezig behalve vaatwasser. Wel een wasmachine maar geen gelegenheid om te drogen. Slaapkamer redelijk vochtig en een comfortabel maar klein bed. Maar dit was voor een week wel vol te houden.

great location

great location, and provides all necessary facilities. My only complaint is it was hard to find, even by an experienced taxi driver. There are two dart views not that far apart. It would help to tell guests it is number 38 and just up from the disused church and the Trafalgar sign
