Perfect Location, uncomfortable sleeping arrangement

Pros: 1. Location is perfect, all the shops within short walking distance, train station is 5 minute walk. 2. Wi-Fi was very strong and reliable. 3. Newly remodeled and very nicely decorated, clean. 4. Host were very easy to work with. 5. There is a very nice deck outside off the upper level. Cons: 1. Bedrooms are very small. Main bedroom has a very small bed in it and cannot comfortably accommodate 2 people, it is more like a super single bed. The 2nd room has 2 bunk beds with very thin mattresses. One of us slept in the main room bed, the other in the bunk bed with pillows on top of the mattress and it was still not comfortable. 2. The bathroom is also very small and has no counter space, only one shelf under the mirror. 3. It is listed as a 2 bedroom, however I would say it is only a 2 bedroom option for a single person and 2 small children. I would not stay here again due to the sleeping arrangement issues.

Location, Location, Location

So many wonderful things to say about ‘the Cottage’ but above all the location is amazing. It is just a couple doors away from several wonderful restaurants, it is directly on the street that is the beating heart of Inverness yet it is a peaceful spot, the shopping mall is steps away, very easy walk to train station and bus station, the Tourist Office is close and on the same street, and the River Ness is a straight and short walk away. Our host met us within 30 seconds of our arrival at the Cottage door and provided a great introduction to everything the cottage holds. He provided us with a nice welcome package that included a bottle of wine. That first evening we enjoyed the wine and a super pizza and salads from Cheese and Tomatin (literally a few steps away) while sitting on our private rooftop patio. It was paradise after a long trip from Dublin. Both the Cottage and Inverness are a slice of heaven—come enjoy both!

Perfect Location

You could not create a more ideal, convenient location. Steps away from the beautiful river with shops, pubs and more in between. Fantastic. And around the corner you have really good pizza(had a line most days) Chinese, Italian and a place called Girvan that also had a line. They serve all three meals. The place is comfortable, thoughtfully outfitted with English made serving ware, wine glasses, washer/dryer, and generous bottle of wine with the milk, oj, cereal bread etc. nothing is missing, even a small iron and ironing board. This place is perfect.

I moved from Australia to Inverness over 20 years ago after I met my wife Denise when she was backpacking. As Inverness is her home town we chose to settle here and raise our family. We have 2 beautiful children Dylan who is 13 and Holly who is 8. We are both still keen travellers and regular visitors to Australia, Asia and America where we have family. When we travel we like to book self-catering for our family and we hope to emulate what we look for in accommodation to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

This property has been completely updated and everything is as-new. The location of this property is outstanding and one of the only properties this close to town with outdoor space and free parking. This really is in a spectacular location for anyone visiting Inverness.

Stunning views from the terrace and a really well equipped house, with washer/Dryer, XBox 1 with games. DVD Library, family games and so close to everything. Guests are also given free use of a discount card for local restaurants and attractions.
