Endast en av sitt slag. En i en kvarn. På kanten av världsarvet vildmark och vackra vattendrag. Rustik men bekväma med makt, massor av varmvatten, digital-tv. 3 sovrum 1Dubbelklicka, 1 vardagsrummet (drottning säng och britsar) 1 sovrum med våningssängar (kung singel). Upp till 8 personer, men föredrar par. Totalt lugn och ro. Om du är ute efter nattliv och restaraunts detta är inte för dig. Om du är ute efter 5-stjärniga lyx detta är inte för dig. Om du är en seriös bushwalker, caver, etc, fossiker, eller som vi, bara vill ta det lugnt vid den öppna spisen eller fisk från bryggan är det bara plats.
 8 km från Hastings grottor och varma källor,
 Southport strand, Cockle Creek, Recherche Bay.
 1 0,1 / 2 timmar söder om Hobart på den natursköna vägen via Huonville och Dover

Absolut vattnet, som ligger på stranden av en av världens mest orörda älvar. Romantisk öppen spis. 3 sovrum, rustik med alla moderna bekvämligheter. Öppen spis, TV video, CD. massor av varmt vatten, fiske, egen brygga.
För total lugn och ro, i utkanten av Fjärran South världsarvs Wilderness.
Föredrar par men sover upp till 8. 2 badrum.

Var inte förväntar sig lyx, det är inte, det är vår semester hem med gummistövlar i hörnet. Föredrar du att ta med egna sängkläder som vi är på tank vatten men vi har en försörjningsberedskapen.
Chill out, TREVA, fisk, bush promenad, simma, bushwalk, gå på Bay Railway Ida, Besök Hastings varma källor och grottor.

Lovely location very rustic but to be expected of a historical house. Access to water was fun definitely had to keep an eye on our little one but always have to anyway.

Improving

This is the second stay our team has had at the Lune Mill River House in a stunning location. Our comments from the previous review still applies, but in short - prepare for an old draughty house on the river side. Bring sleeping bags if you are sensitive to the cold. We set our expectations accordingly, and had a wonderful stay. All team members were very satisfied with the accommodation and would book again. Note: any location this remote is subject to power outages. We have not encountered this during our two stays, but we prepared for this by bringing our own portable 240V power station.

Distressing

The outdoor lawn and access to the river is beautiful and nicely maintained. The smell of dampness and dust inside caused us to feel uncomfortable and we didnt stay. I have lictures of the thick layers of dust onthe ornaments fron the kitchen bench, the lanterns, the saddle, the velvet curtains, the kitche curtains covering the kitchen utensils, the cracked paint in corners of fhe wall and so pn.

Adventure

We understood it was a 100 year old house that was rustic so we were prepared for anything. Loved our stay. Comfortable beds and good showers so no complaints. Caught a fish from the jetty. I would love to do the Reno's on the house while keeping the character of the house. We loved the seclusion and quiet. It was all quite an adventure.

Beautiful location

We booked this accommodation as a 4-day fieldwork base. The mill house has its idiosyncrasies. As long as you set your expectations for camping conditions in a remote part of the world, you will find the structure to be sufficient. The location is spectacular and the jetty is very impressive. All team members expressed their satisfaction with their stay and would book it again for similar work.

In two minds

The house is located in the most beautiful of settings, surrounded by flowers, trees and the glorious Lune River. Standing on the back deck watching birds float past, knowing you’re miles from anyone else is an incredible experience. One which we adored. However while the description of the house as rustic is absolutely correct there are several things which are worrying. First is the electricity. The house is not insulated and comes with several electrical heaters as well as two wood fires, however if you have more than two heaters on at once all the electricity goes off, meaning you need to carefully choose where you want warmed. But if you want the kettle and two heaters on, the electricity goes off. If you want the kettle and the microwave the electricity goes off. Someone urgently needs to get this checked as it may lead to a fire. Second is that while having two wood heaters is great, the glass in one is smashed meaning it’s dangerous to use. If used and one of the glass shards falls out an ember could escape from the fire and lead to loss of life. There were few logs ready for the fire and there was only a very small tomahawk to split wood with. Third is the bathroom - only one roll of toilet paper with about 6 sheets on it (no spare) and a hair dryer with a European plug. A heater, but if you use it the electricity goes off. The listing mentioned wifi, dish washer and other conveniences, which either don’t exist or don’t work. Yes the place is rustic but please remov

Sunrise Stay at Lune Mill River House

We had a wonderful few days staying at the Lune Mill River House. It was great to wake up, open the curtains, and see the sun rise on the river from the bed. The view of the river was amazing.

Very eclectic shack, unfortunately weather not good but pottered, played games and read. TV good, heating not so good unless good fire going. All basics available re bathrooms and kitchen. Would be good for a big group.
