Under vintermånaderna kan alla bokningar hållas flexibla och datumen ändras om väderprognosen inte är bra.

Aquamarine är en tre sovrum hus ligger precis bakom en sanddyn, precis intill en säker badstrand. Den har en ljus, rymlig känsla och gott om plats för större familjer eller grupper. Det stora sovrummet har en king size säng och eget badrum. Köket är välutrustat och har även en diskmaskin. Aquamarine är idealiskt för längre vistelser året runt. Det är väl isolerad, har en kraftfull reverserande luftkonditionering / värmare och elektriska filtar på alla sängar. Ryggen veranda är ganska stor, med utsikt över dyn och har en grill samt sittplatser. Huset har en trevlig grön outlook men det finns ingen havsutsikt. År 2016 fick huset nymålade, många apparater ersättas och möbler uppdateras.

Tillgång till stranden är direkt bakom huset med ingen gata mellan. Stranden är bra att utforska, är ganska skyddad och det finns bra fiske från klipporna. Det finns omfattande varma grunda vattnet för barnen att njuta av men också en enkel plats tillgång till djupt vatten. Du kan förvänta dig att se en hel del vilda djur och havet är svårslagna med fisk. Samtidigt, skulle du bara vara en kort bilresa från butikerna, vilket gör livet betydligt lättare.

Det finns NBN bredband WiFi installerat i huset och är gratis för gästerna att använda. Man kan även strömma filmer eller spela spel om du tar med din dator.

Väluppfostrade husdjur kan tillåtas av enskilda arrangemang men trädgården är inte inhägnat.

Plats

Ligger på norra kust den fantastiska Kangaroo Island, är Baudin Beach en liten bosättning på cirka 100 hus, 5 km öster om Island Beach och 10 km väster om Pennefärjeterminalen. Det finns en bra stormarknad och flera restauranger på Penneshaw men ingen mat säljs Baudin Beach. Platsen är bra för fiske och dykning med en bra båt ramp ner på samma gata och ett dyk butiken runt hörnet. Området är grönare och mindre blåsigt än den södra kusten av ön. Skyddade vatten i östra Cove är kända för gott King George Whiting. Det är en vacker, säker och till stor del privat strand precis bakom huset. Huvudvägen som leder till alla öns attraktioner är bara ett par hundra meter bort.

Det finns nu 3 nya bäddsoffor i vardagsrummet, vilket ger ytterligare sova om det behövs. Det finns också en portakott tillgänglig för en bebis.

A bit disappointing

Location and overall function of the house was good. Plenty of room inside for our group. Bathrooms mouldy, particularly basin in ensuite. Only 6 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 8 nights was inadequate, as was the lack of basic stuff like glad wrap, alfoil or paper towel. We thought the yards were overgrown and not like the photos. We enjoyed our stay but thought these were areas for improvement.

Roomy Beach house

Convenient well kept house out of town but close enough to attractions and shops. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Neighbourhood is quiet. The small beach is just over a sandhill.

Wonderful Holiday

We were very happy with the Aquamarine Holiday House.Lots of room with 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and a very good size fridge. Big family/dining area. Location perfect for short walk to a beautiful beach. The deck was great to sit and listen/ watch the busy bird life including the gorgeous blue wrens. It was a very hot few days on our KI visit and the aircon. was very well appreciated. We definitely recommend a stay there.

Fantastic stay by the beach

Aquamarine was well equipped and well located. We had a great time taking the short walk to the beach, travelling around KI and making trips into Penneshaw for coffee or supplies. Fantastic spot for kids. Anna was a helpful and communicative host.

We are doing some work in the area and wanted somewhere to stay that felt lile home. Was perfectly located for us and went fishing locally after work. Would recommend again and intend on staying again as our project in the area continues

Aquamarine - the best house on Kangaroo Island

Baudin Beach is a highly romantic, secluded treasure of nature and Aquamarine has been my favourite accommodation - a comfortable, spacious house; very clean and well heated in cold weather; had everything anyone would need. The tranquility and charm of the spot was compounded with the helpful, friendly host. By far my most memorable stay on Kangaroo Island.

Staying at the Aquamarine was an idyllic beach holiday. Pop over the sand dune to a scenic stretch of white sandy beach, which we shared with a pelican each evening. The Aquamarine had all of the amenities and space we needed and was within the perfect driving distance to Penneshaw. A relaxing family beach holidsy.

Aquamarine At Baudin Beach

We went from a WOW on entry to the property to disapointment very quickly. We were warned the day before our arrival the the A/C was broken but a fan or 2 to replace it would have helped when it got hot in the house. there were many things that were not great, no sharp knives for meal prep, a broken toilet roll holder in the ensuite, only 1 tea towel for 3 people for 4 days, the pillow slips were not ironed made us wonder if the sheets were clean, much maintenance is required generally to this place. not a nice experience at all. I would never book this place again.

Not as advertised

The house is located behind the dune Inside the house was clean to some standard. I wouldn’t usually like to leave negative feedback but the owner was overly irresponsible and unfriendly ! Basically , the property doesn’t look as advertised !The property manager responded with“ what do you want me to Do ?” Or “your lucky as her place is the best place and only a miracle can help you to find another place as good as hers” this was her answer on a 40 degrees day when you asked why the “AC “ is not working as it’s advertised! She also came up with another brilliant solution “ take a walk to the beach “ or “ AC broke 3 days ago , would you really had cancelled your trip if I would have told you that “ at the end she gave us a refund for the “hot day “ - 40 degrees only AFTER we complained to STAYZ. Outside is not what you see as advertised either! It’s grossly disgusting , stink of cigarettes butts under the veranda! Under the house is covered with cardboard ! Perfect attraction for snakes or fire. Kitchen is full of random dirty dishes and pots ! Everything is on top of each other though good luck finding something in there! Overall is not worth the money !

Very comfortable

Our family of four (and dog) stayed at Aquamarine for 6 nights. We loved our morning walks with the pooch along Baudin Beach. It was a great base to explore the incredible Kangaroo Island. The house ticked all the boxes, was comfortable, warm and plenty of space for us all.

Relaxing short break

Basic accomodation

It was basic, good if you wanna just sleep somewhere/have shower/access to the fridge. But if you’re looking for some comfort- this isn’t a place. Place has damaged fly screens and walls/ceilings are covered in squished mosquitos and shoes prints haha. Semi neat place- but good enough if you are planning to spend time adventuring and sightseeing than being inside- if you’re tight on budget it’s ok :) also, if you’re first timer in KI it’s close to the “city” and ferry.
