Waterfront stuga på Butlers Cove av Budd Bay i South Puget Sound i närheten av Olympia. Stugan ligger 13 meter från strandkanten. Båt, simma vid högvatten, stranden kam vid lågvatten. Holiday oasis

We always enjoy our stay. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and love into this place and all the details they've put into it. Perfect place for Olympia winter when the weather can change one minute to the next. You will be happy just sitting by the wood stove looking at the ducks through the picture window.

Peace, trees, and water

A lovely cabin right on a finger of the Sound. One can watch the ducks swimming and the tide go in and out. So much care taken to provide comfort for the guests. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Fully-outfitted lake house

Just stayed for the one night, but will definitely try coming back in the summer. Really great amenities and a comfortable bed with nice pillows. Really appreciative of all the options available to help parents with little ones and a decked out kitchen. You’re really staying in someone’s special place, just like the old bnbs

Peaceful and comfortable

We only stayed one night, but the location was quiet and lovely on the inlet. There are a decent number of steps down from the parking area to the cottage, but we knew that upfront, so it was fine. All in all a nice setting to relax after a day of travel.

Peaceful Olympia Retreat

We had a wonderful stay in Olympia while visiting our family. The cabin was the perfect retreat after busy days. The setting is beautiful, the cabin well stocked and maintained and the hosts were gracious. Highly recommended!

Real gem of a place

Really enjoyed the tidal effect in this cove, fish jumping and appreciate the historical significance of this property. Bobs creation of a unique property was evident. Definitely not run of the mill work. Built with Love was apparent. Thank you Bob and Debbie!

Very nostalgic feel to everything here. Love the wood burning stove and view over the water (we saw a couple Blue Herons during our stay) Some areas could have been better dusted but overall a nice stay

Quiet Retreat

We always enjoy staying here.My adult children were happy to use the kayaks. I cooked dinner every night and had everything needed kitchenwise to do that.We had a nice restful stay. We can't wait until our next visit.

Hosts Debby/Bob are wonderful! The cottage was well equipped with cooking utensils; spices and a breakfast nook; coffee; pancakes. The setting off Budd Inlet is lovely!Use of two kayaks was an added bonus ! We were able to explore Budd inlet ; starfish; harbor seals; deer; blue herons! We will definitely return !

Excellent way to restore after the holidays

Very clean cozy and great location very quiet. Our family member visiting from Japan said it was the beat sleep she has had in a long time. Very comfortable calming and great way to relax after the hectic holidays. Owners very responsive and accommodating.

Cute Cabin

Nice little get away. It was fun watching the tide come in and out and being amongst the forest. Cabin is well equipped. The only negative was the fireworks being set off by a close-by dock.

Quiet and Relaxing with everything you need

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a quick 2 night get-away. We appreciated all the nice touches, like providing cream or oat milk for the coffee, and chilled glasses already in the freezer. Also everything was very well labeled which you don't see often! I watched ducks, herons, otters and even a seal swim by as the tide came in - it was lovely. A very peaceful location!

My family has owned this waterfront cottage since 1982. We lived there full time for 11 years before building a larger house to accommodate our growing (now grown) children. We continue to vacation at the cottage, hold family gatherings, or just go over for a walk on the beach or for an outing in the rowboat, kayaks, or paddleboards. We live not far away from the cottage so if you need anything while you are there, have questions, need directions or referrals, etc., we are usually nearby to be of assistance. The cottage is set up like a home and you will be quite comfortable there.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We fell in love with the property the minute we first saw it in June 1982. The cottage is nestled at the base of a hill on an acre of forested land. The road to the property is a windy country road that hugs a forested hillside. The second you drive onto the road, you feel the cooler temperature, smell the forest and the water. You give a relaxing sigh. Ah, relaxation. From the deck of the cottage, you are only 13 feet from the shore edge and you can watch the tides come in and out, and view the wildlife: deer, seal, blue heron and other sea birds, king fishers, salmon, river otters and more. A wonderful place to relax.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Close to town but it feels like you are miles away. Downtown Olympia and the State Capitol are 10 minutes away; The Evergreen State College is 5 minutes or less. Major grocery stores, shopping centers, service stations, movie and live theatres, pubs, restaurants, churches, museums, medical offices and the hospitals are within minutes. Plenty of solitude and privacy. Even though you are only minutes from Hwy 101 or Interstate 5, it feels like you are out in the country, in a quiet, private retreat.
