PET VÄNLIGT (vår Kelpie Gus älskar bara att ha leksamater)

Gum Paddock Country Cottage ligger ca 9 km från GPO i huvud shoppingområdet Broken Hill och har 1 x dubbelrum, öppen vardagsrum med utsmyckad öppen spis, fullt utrustat pentry och eget badrum.
Stugan var ursprungligen The Silverton Tramway Biljard Hall och har många en historia att berätta. Det transporterades till Gum Paddock 1996, vilket ger en fantastisk tillflyktsort och är inredda i ett "steg tillbaka i tiden" känsla men med alla moderna bekvämligheter för att göra din vistelse avslappnande och bekväm.

Stugan har också en dubbel utfällbar lounge i öppen planlösning så det kan rymma upp till 4 personer om det behövs.

Koppla av i den främsta stugan och njut av våra vänliga infödda svavelkräftade kakor som tycker om att besöka oss regelbundet eller grilla i din egen privata viken.

Ta en promenad genom den vackra torra bäcken och ner till Gamla järnvägsbron, du kanske har turen att upptäcka några Wild Sturt Desert Peas eller få en glimt av en emu eller en känguru eller två.

Färsk ägg finns från våra fria kycklingar och Gus the Kelpie skulle älska att visa dig var de bor i och runt den stora fruktträdgården - medan du är där, välkommen att välja apelsiner och citroner. Du kanske till och med vara i tid för mogna quandongs.

Gum Paddock Country Cottage är bara det perfekta sättet att komma tillbaka till naturen. Kom och slappna av med oss ett tag.

Charming country cottage in a quiet, but convenient location

Great little farm cottage that afforded peace and quiet but was just a short drive from the centre of time. The cottage was well equipped with everything that we needed for a 5 night stay. Loved the Guineafowls and friendly kangaroo! Thanks for a great stay.

Gorgeous cottage

So peaceful and historic

Gorgeous historical cottage formerly billiards room of social club in broken hill — so peaceful and quiet - spotlessly clean, everything you need including washing machine, good frig and joy of joys clean barbecue - lovely shady verandah to relax - we had a wonderful few days

An absolute Gem in the Outback

During our stay at Gum Paddock in Broken Hill, we had an absolutely fantastic time. The cottage was just charming, immaculately clean, homely, and equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location, only a short 10-minute drive from the center, was truly spectacular, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience. The resident-friendly pet kangaroo was delightful, adding a unique and memorable touch to our stay. It was a wonderful retreat that provided the perfect combination of comfort, natural beauty, and a touch of local wildlife. Well worth a stay here. 5 stars ✳️

An outback experience in style!

Fantastic property just 10 minutes drive out of Broken Hill which was very well presented, with lots of small minor touches that are obviously well thought through. One bedroom but our teenage son enjoyed sleeping in the pull-out couch in the living room. Our dog loved being able to roam around the fenced area surrounding the house and watch the kelpie chase the bush turkeys in the evening. The best thing was watching the moon rise as the sun set and experience the beautifully colours of the sky. If you get a chance to stay here, please do it. Great way to experience a little bit of outback with all the comforts of home.

A very pleasant surprise

I needed to be in Broken Hill for work and the motel occupancy rate at the time was over 90% so we were fortunate to find Gum Paddock Country Cottage, not the normal type of accommodation for a business trip but I'm very happy to have had the experience, initially my partner was to come along as well but unfortunately circumstances changed and she was unable to come as she would have loved the cottage as much or more than I did. Being 10KM out of town at 1st the internet connection I needed for work was not present, but Gail and her husband sorted the problem very quickly and I was able to complete my work in the comfort of the cottage. The cottage is a very unique place a little quirky, but overall, a complete delight and I highly recommend both it and the owners 5 stars

Amazing stay in Broken Hill

We had a such wonderful stay at this very cosy and comfortable cottage. The property is beautiful and perfect for kids and our dog. I can’t recommend high enough.

Comfortable and quiet

This charming cottage was super clean and well equipped. It was a delight to meet the locals.... hosts Gail and Chuckvand resident kelpie and galah. They hosts were very relaxed and welcoming. We enjoyed some fresh eggs and citrus from their laden trees. So much more than a motel stay.

Fantastic oasis in Broken Hill

What a gem - great hosts great cottage with history - views and peace and fruit and eggs - great grounds for our doggie . We loved it sad to leave - very highly recommend to anyone looking for something special in the Broken Hill area - a hundred stars, like the view at night.

Great little cottage

Very nicely presented, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The adjoining under-cover carport was very handy when it rained. Mobile phone reception very poor. An internet connection would have been useful.

Enjoyable stay

This is a really comfortable and clean property and it’s well located, just a short drive to the main centre. We only spoke to the hosts briefly, they were really nice and accommodating. We’d happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Broken Hill and surrounds.

Property was great, unfortunately didn't check the wifi connection as most places these days have wifi. No wifi which was a problem seeing as I needed to connect with work

Quiet & Relaxing

Definitely one of the best places we have stayed. Has a great personal touch and all you would require. Handy to main attractions but far enough out of town for a very relaxing stay. Our 2 OES really enjoyed all the comforts of home, with a secure courtyard to make sure they are safe. We look forward to returning.

Just lovely. Very relaxing.

Too hot to do much but cannot control weather. Minnie enjoyed meeting Bobbie and Gus. The cottage was extremely comfortable. Very well appointed Would def stay again if visiting the area

Historic and cozy cottage just out of town

Private, comfortable and decorated to a theme. The cottage has historical charm but is well appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much! Broken Hill is a great town and the countryside is unique and beautiful.

Happy dogs happy people

The cottage keepers were just lovely! They made both my partner and I as well as our beloved little dog feel right at home. The cottage itself was clean, cozy,and had everything you would need. We would certainly return!

Wonderful cottage and surrounds

A well equipped cottage, great hosts and being dog friendly made it even better. Loved the fact it was out of town and the resident chickens, wallabies and cockatoos made the stay that much more enjoyable. Definitely would stay again next time in Broken Hill.

A pleasant stay

A relaxing place for us and the dog, the night sky was great and the seclusion of being out of town made it more special. Only disappointment was the fire place could not be used as advertised.

Stunning Location

The cottage is beautifully located for watching the dawn and the sunrise, and makes a perfect destination for a 'get away from it all trip'. Everything was provided for a nicely appointed and comfortable self catering stay within easy reach of Broken Hill and Silverton. Fresh eggs and citrus fruit was a nice touch, and we and our city dog really enjoyed walking the property on a beautiful sunny winter day.

Excellent Property

Stayed for 4 night could not have asked for anything better. Location was just a little out of Town but perfect. The Cottage is devine, Chuck, the owner and Gus his dog were there to welcome us. Love Gus.Would highly recommend this as a place to stay when in Broken Hill
