Shalimar Àr en cirkulÀr timmer yurt belÀgen i en vacker bergsregnskog dal 10 minuter frÄn North Coast stad Mullumbimby i Byron Bay hinterland.

BelÀget bara 20 minuter frÄn den vackra floden och strÀnderna i Brunswick Heads, norr om Byron, ligger vÄr certifierade organiska permakulturgÄrd bland stora öppna bergsplatÄer med panoramautsikt och vacker sub tropisk regnskog.

Den omgivande dalen har ett antal fÀrskvattenbÀckar med vackra simningshÄl, bergart, nationalpark, bussturer och utkikspunkter med panoramautsikt.

We really liked the paid back style and the owner didn't need to show. Everything was fine and comfortable in the house which is a bit of a "Tardis" (more spacious inside than it looks) Maybe the fridge needs a clean as the freezer section had a smell with it, and any food coming from it seemed to have acquired the smell but it's a small issue in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Sweet spot for a quiet family getaway. The accommodation was sweet & beach swims & mountain walks were only about 20min drive away. Loved the goats & outdoor shower.

Cozy Yurt in a gorgeous valley.

We had a fantastic time at the yurt, outdoor bath by the fire, baby goats and chickens, our boys had a ball. Adam is a great host and really looks after his guests. Would highly recommend!

Pristine location in a geometric timber yurt - perfection

I can't tell you how beautiful our stay was. The building is huge with amazing carpentry. Stunning gardens edible and medicinal. We were so comfortable it had everything we needed and more. A cute kitchen and hot outside shower added to the charm. We will defiantly go back again. Thank you to the owners for an affordable stay and kindness of offering your animals to feed and walks around the creek.

Great size for friends to get together , outside showering with great hot water with best views Beds were comfy Great walks beautiful mountain views Composting toilet took some getting used to but was easy and non offensive Vegetable garden in season was nice to pick produce for adding to our meals

Fun farm stay

Our small family really enjoyed our stay in the yurt. The property affords a proper break and ability to switch off while still offering all the necessities of comfort. We loved being able to feed the hens and goats, the vegetables and citrus in the gardens. Adam is really knowledgeable about the area and gave loads of suggestions for walks and day trips.

A hidden sanctuary

My dear friend and I had a magical four nights in this beautiful valley. The yurt is really well equipped and comfortable, but the location and the energy of the place are what make it so special. Not the place if you want to be coming and going to pubs and bars unless you don’t mind the journey, but those things seem completely unnecessary at Shalimar. Come for the peace, tranquillity, abundance, birdsong, goats, gardens and the opportunity to simply drop into another space
you won’t regret it.

Magical place

Had a wonderful stay. Yurt was rustic but charming. The kids loved the piano and goats. The farm is surrounded by lush rainforest. Kitchen was fully equipped. Loved the organic garden for herbs and greens. If you want a unique experience I recommend staying here.

A Well Kept Secret

Made a last minute decision to take a 3 night break and booked this accommodation without any research at all. My experience far exceeded my expectations. The Yurt is huge! The pictures on this site do not do this property justice. Overall, my entire stay was charming, rustic but with all conveniences available. Totally relaxing. I highly recommend it (but reluctantly because I would really rather keep it all for myself). Thank you, Adam for your hospitality and your manners. See you again some time :)

Perfectly Peaceful

Stunning location, perfect for rejuvenating after a hectic year. Loved the outdoor shower. The compost toilet was surprisingly not smelly at all. Adam was great showing us around at check in.

Beautiful Spot

A spacious, cosy yurt in amongst the beauty of Northern Rivers Hinterland. Property is a little way from Mullum, via serene (albeit twisty) country road. The property was great for friends and I to share space, cook and have fun. The farm animals were not intrusive, neither was the host.

Could not fault this property. Yurt was equipped with everything you could ever need.

Excellent stay. Such a magic place. Adam is a fantastic host. He came down & introduced himself on arrival, filled us in on everything we needed to know and gave us maps for adventures. Loved the gorgeous surrounding gardens & outdoor shower. We will be back for sure.

Relaxing Getaway

We had such a great holiday, loved everything about the property. Adam was so welcoming and happy to share local knowledge. We were provided with fresh eggs and access to the organic garden. Beautiful location, relaxing environment

The round house was warm and inviting on a wet, cold day. The property was truly dog friendly and we loved the animals and garden. One of our favourite features was the outside shower with abundant hot water. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the games. and exploring the local area and swimming in the rock pool. Adams maps are great help to find your way to local beauty spots. We will be back

Beautiful and luscious environment, Your is a gem.

The Yurt and surrounds were a delicious stay and not far from Mullumbimby. Having a garden , goats over the fence and being cradled between mountains was very special. Adam was very helpful with info and responsive to any questions, yet essentially left us along. Very beautiful space, comfortable and well equiped.

Relaxing and peaceful stay

Adam was a very welcoming host, and my wife, myself and our dog had a wonderful time staying on the property with great views, greenery all around, and very cute goats playing in the background. The space was comfortable with a wide space to relax in, aircon, hot water and anything else needed. Only a short drive into town and near the beaches too where there are plenty of options to eat and drink and shop.
