Stugan är 750 kvm, har en fullständig sovrum, ett extra loft utrymme, ett kök och ett badrum. Behöver du mer utrymme ... Vi har en annan plats finns på VRBO också. Ta rätt kläder så att du kan ta vandringar och kolla in 50 tunnland. Ge oss en heads up låt mig veta vad du letar efter. Vi har vissa sällsynta fåglar här och ett överflöd av blommor och vilda liv. De flesta natten hör vi prärievargar i fjärran och se fladdermöss dansa i nätterna himlen. Inga mygg här ... TRUE. Eldflugor starta sin show i skymningen i juni. Sydvästra Wisconsin är rikligt med skönhet.

Det finns restauranger som erbjuder traditionella fredag fisk fries i Blanchard och New Glarus liksom andra städer runt omkring oss.
New Glarus erbjuder historia, affärer, ost, festivaler och bryggeriet. Monroe är i närheten också, erbjuder lördag Farmers Market, shopping på torget, och en av de olders Brewerys i WI. Massor av parker i detta område: New Glarus skogen, Yellowstone sjön, Blue Mounds och härlig öring strömmar också.

Öring strömmar, ost fabriker, bryggerier och massor av historia runt omkring oss. Massor av fred här. När min trädgård är full av läckra godsaker, jag delar.

Peaceful Getaway

This was a wonderful, peaceful place for a quick getaway, about a 15 minute drive from New Glarus. April and Steve were great hosts and our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.

3 day stay

We had a wonderful time in the cottage. It was clean and helped us relax after long days of hiking with 3 dogs.The property is beautiful and made our stay feel even more special.

Beautiful weekend in the country

Baby pigs wandering outside our door was a delight. A secret garden walk to sit and enjoy the babbling stream was so peaceful. We beered, we wined, and we cheesed, a true Wisconsin experience. We will be back this fall.

Great Place

Excellent place for a couple hunters. Owers were super friendly. Bonus was the owners sustainability farm and I now have a place to order pork that is not a box chemical dealer.

Short Summer Getaway

Nice, secluded little cottage that was great for our quick trip to New Glarus. Property owner very friendly and helpful. Had what we needed for our one night stay. Some of the hottest days of the summer and the A/C worked great. Had a comfortable stay.

Charming Cottage

The hosts were accommodating communicative. The cottage is in a beautiful valley and the farm's piglets were very friendly. A birders dream!

Family Time

Just what my family needed. Loved the property. Wish we had more time to spend and explore. We will definitely go back! Perfect for a reset. We loved exploring all the other little towns nearby. The owners are amazing!

Sweet little piglets

I went with my dog for a little get away from the busyness of life. It was a real treat to be at the cottage. My dog fell in love with the piglets! It was so sweet! We enjoyed walking the property, too. The way the property was listed gave me the impression the cottage was away from the farm. It's actually next to the barn and just across the way from the owners. It wasn't an issue in terms of respect or anything, but if you want to be a bit away, know the cottage is right in the mix. I enjoyed my stay just the same!

Rustic, Quiet Getaway

If you are looking for a place to stay where you can disconnect, this is it! The best part of the cabin is downplayed in the description--but you are staying on an active farm..the owners are very kind and it's really interesting to learn about responsible farming, their history and efforts to re-establish native flowers/grasses on their land. If you want to keep to yourself, that's fine too--but they are lovely people. It's a short drive to New Glarus, and Monroe. This farm offers fresh eggs, pork...and down the road is a farm with fresh honey. They are being honest when they say there are no mosquitos. You can sit out side and enjoy the stars, without being bitten.

Quiet escape from the city

This cottage on a pig farm was PERFECT for what I needed. Dog friendly which an always appreciate. The cottage is in a tiny farming town outside of Madison, and near a couple spots I visited - Cave of the Mounds & New Glarus. The cottage is small & simple, which is all I needed. The view of the stars at night - WOW!!! This city girl was impressed. Unit was clean & orderly. Thank you!

Marvelous and secluded

Disappointed

Spiders!! dust bunnies and crunchy towels. Spotty internet access; no outdoor seating or even a coffee pot. Beautiful setting though. The heritage hogs were fun to see. The rural internet made communication with owner difficult.

Did not meet expectations

Musty odor upon entry. Only one screen to air the place out. Cobwebs, large dust bunnies , dirty fan, mouse turds, two cockroaches in the kitchen , crunchy towels. Stayed one night due to the late hour and left the next morning. Ironically had to pay added $ for “extra cleaning required” due to having small dogs. We’re to have stayed 4 nights. Disappointed.

Beautiful Late Summer Stay!

We had such a great time at Cottage on the Valley. Beautiful spot, comfortable accommodations, and super hospitable hosts. There is so much to do in the area, and so much beauty right on this property. Our family (dog included!) was sad to leave, and wants to make plans to return again soon.
