The location of the home was in the noisiest part of Sayulita. There was loud music, motorcycles and drunk people screaming from sundown to sunup every night. Some of the rooms had thatched roofs or windows that would not shut, so the sound could not be drowned out. The property is very tired and worn down from the sea air. It was a hot and humid weekend and the air conditioning worked ok in the bedrooms. The bathrooms were very musty smelling. The towels and rugs were very thin and old. The showers felt old and dirty. They need new towels and rugs. New paint and lighting. The kitchen was old and tired. The cabinet was broken. The microwave barely heated things. The gas stove would not start until we found a lighter that worked from a store around the corner. The maid service was nice. The pool was ok but always had plant droppings in it. The netting in the upstairs rooftop area had debris. It was very very tired. I know the sea air is tough on real estate but the property needs some help and a good handyman. There was a lemur that lives on the property that was climbing around and was staring in the window one morning that was alarming. There were open outlets that seemed dangerous. It was very hot and humid and needs more fans. We had NO water from Saturday late morning until we checked out. The properties around had water. Ours did not. It was very inconvenient and very uncomfortable.
