Sten blomma är en mitten av 1800-talet barn som har omvandlats till en unik, bekvämt och lyxigt en säng boende. Fullt utrustad, innehöll själv och privat, det är centralt beläget med i minuter av allt det bästa som Hobart har att erbjuda. Detta är den perfekta Romantic Getaway!

Sten blomma ligger utanför huvudgatan, i slutet av en privat uppfart. Det är en vacker, ljusa, multi-level bostad som felfritt harmoniserar rikedomen i dess historiska förflutna med moderna bekvämligheter vardagen. Denna unika egenskap har kreativt omvandlas och ger avskildhet och komfort.

Den övre våningen utrymme, badar i naturligt ljus och sitter under den ursprungliga sluttande taket. Från den fantastiska sovrummet med sin härligt bekväm queen size-säng, steg upp i den öppna planen badrum med en stor våtrum dusch, speglad skåp, och underbara fåfänga allt insvept i värmen av trä och sten. Den gamla ladugården ursprungliga stege fungerar nu som en unik handdukshängare! Gäst bekvämligheter finns.

Nedervåningen finns en öppen planlösning perfekt för avkoppling med en god bok eller titta på en film från eklektisk DVD-samling tillgänglig. Och det bästa av svenska moderna möbler är din att njuta av. Kliv in i fullt utrustat, gourmet kök och koka upp en storm. Kulinariska läckerheter finns tillgängliga från flera bekvämt beläget livsmedelsaffär inklusive mycket älskade Hill St Grocer, Salamanca Fresh, Wursthaus Kitchen, Salamanca marknaden (på lördag) samt de normala stormarknader. Den specialbyggda matbord har återvunnits från balkar kvar från renovering och plats för fyra personer.

Det finns golvvärme både upp och ner och en elradiatorer i sovrummet och vardagsrummet. Det finns också en liten uteplats och parkering för en bil.

A great example place for a weekend away

A place to spend 5 days. Great central location for exploring Hobart and surrounding areas (note if you are walking the property is situated on a very steep hill). The accommodation is warm and inviting. Felt totally at home - towels, linen, furniture, crockery are all of a high standard. Kitchen was well planned, contained good quality appliances and met all of our needs. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom are stunning with an open plan layout, making it feel extremely spacious - just aware the toilet while in a separate space is also open plan. A beautiful place to spend a weekend.

Stone Flower Gem

Delightful architectural barn renovation with everything you could need. Beautifully presented and a wonderful base for a stay in Hobart. Walking distance to the centre of town through some interesting old neighbourhoods. Will definitely be back.

Location pretty good but steepness of hills limited how often you would go in and out. Definitely make use of Ubers as very cheap to get to harbour

Great getaway close to the Hobart CBD

Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stone Flower, a beautifully constructed building easily maintainable for a couple with all of the amenities required to both stay in and cook or come back to after a night out. An ideal location in the west of Hobart with only a 20 min walk to the likes of the Salamanca market and beautiful pier. Likewise, it is only a 10-15 min walk to the CBD. The property manager was an absolute delight to communicate with and provided great recommendations for our stay. If you are staying in Hobart for an extended period or just a weekend away I cannot recommend this property any higher as it was just delightful.

Architecturally splendid hideaway in pretty neighbourhood

We loved Stone Flower Barn! If you are even remotely interested in architecture you’ll appreciate the beauty of the material and the clever interiors of the barn, including a view of the harbour from the shower and the natural light pouring in everywhere. Very generous breakfast provisions were waiting for us on arrival and the bed is absolutely plush - I didn’t want to get out of it. Highly recommended.

Beautiful little home

Wow, what a lovely little gem we found. Not far to walk to the city and docks and the place has been beautifully renovated. The house is also spotlessly clean which is a big thing for me! The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The only thing to mention (and the owner did mention when we booked but I didn't realise to what extent). The driveway you have to drive down to get to the house which is at the back is VERY narrow. The owner did let us know so I made sure I booked a small rental car but that was even hard to get in and out so make sure you get the smallest car available as at the moment you can't park on the road. Other than that this is a beautiful home so thank you :-)

Great blend of old and new

Really loved this contemporary barn conversion. Loved the location that offered great views across Hobart. Beautifully appointed with comfortable furnishings that gives a cosy feel. Clean and quiet residence within walking distance of Hobart and Salamanca ( about 20 minutes), that exceeded our expectations.

Wonderful couple's accommodation

We had a nice weekend in Hobart staying at this fancy renovated barn. Great character to the accommodation and made to feel at home with breakfast supplies. Only critique is that car access is narrow and not suitable for anything but a small sedan and all surrounding streets have parking restrictions.

My husband and I love old buildings. We love to transform an old unloved place into unique and comfortable spaces. We love the creative challenge of fulfilling a vision, bringing it into reality.

Varför värden valde detta boende

When we first saw the front house for sale we were drawn to this property not by the house but by what lay behind it; an old, convict built, neglected barn. We both knew that this could be transformed into something special.
It took several years before we found the finances and the right team to do the job. In 2009 the transformation began. It took 8 month to complete.
For 3 years the place was rented on a permanent basis. In 2014 we furnished and fitted out the Barn for short term accommodation, and thus Stone Flower was born .
In 201, ten years after creating this unique space we have added an outdoor courtyard, that complements and completes Stone Flower.

Stone flower is private and totally unique. There is no other property that compares. It is close to the city and yet far enough to be peaceful. All that Hobart has to offer is at your finger tips. This is a perfect place for a romantic getaway or as a home base for day trips to the surrounding area.
