Great home and walking distance to town. Needs some maintenance though. Unfortunately lots of truck noise. Would book it again though.

Family get together

Property in need of some maintenance eg bathroom door locks people in, door knobs on kitchen cupboards need replacing, some lights didn’t work, shabby looking paintwork outside.Beds were good, lounge suit not very comfortable for older guests, difficult to get out of. Unfortunately garden not very appealing for children to play in. Despite these little things that wouldn’t take much to improve, we had a good time in Esperance.

Great location

The house is in an amazing location, with lovely sea and harbour views and easy walking distance to the beach front and town. It is equpped with everything you might need - plus more, like tea, coffee, sugar, oil, herbs, shampoo, conditioner etc It is a little bit tired though. The sliding doors fall out at times, the bathroom door cant be opened from the inside, and the mattresses on the bunk beds are absolutely appalling -so thin you can feel the slates of the bed, horribly mouldy and very uncomfortable - even putting them on the floor was impossible. Great location near town

Overall the stay was good, however there was unfortunately miscommunication between the owner and cleaning crew as to when we were arriving but other than that they went above and beyond for us. Great location of house just a few streets away from the town centre and good views of the ocean.

Great Place to Stay in Esperance

We had a great stay in Esperance, the house is in a good central location, with plenty of room for a family of 6+. Had everything you need for a great stay. A short walk to a greta ice cream shop and park for the kids and close to all the beautiful beaches Esperance has to offer. Con the owner was great to deal with and was always happy to help. Thank you.

Amazing Esperence Trip - Family and Friends

Great experience staying at this place by Con. Checking was easy, and facilities were good, well spacious. Kitchen was fully equipped. Extra linen available, and fully functioning laundry. Close to the Esperence Jetty beach front, 2-3 min drive. Could have been touch better if we had a couple of more portable heaters for rooms. No Wifi, but didn't overly bother us. With no internet, all of us spent good quality family time. We stayed in April, so cooling was not a requirement. For summer stays, adding few AC units would come handy. All in all a good place to stay. Con was constantly in touch for all minor requirements. Cheers. Nalinda.

Uncleaned and Badly Maintained

We arrived at 5pm, 2 hours after the check in time, and the house had not been cleaned from the last guests. I contacted the owner and the cleaner arrived at 6pm. We had dinner plans at 630pm, which we had to cancel. The cleaners excuse that we had booked late (we had the booking for several weeks), she got the dates mixed up and that she was at a child's birthday party all contradicted by the fashion dress she was wearing, the smell of alcohol and sweat from being in the sun all day, and the fact that I had previously researched it was Ladies Day at the Esperance Races that day. The cleaner gave the bathrooms a cursory mop, changed the towels but left the wet bathmat from the previous guest which she hung up as if it were unused. When I took the mat to her saying it was wet, she said she had "forgotten to take it with her", and that she didn't have a replacement and gave me an old towel to use instead. Having been at the beach, we tried to use the first bathroom that had been “cleaned” but the smell of sweat and the soaking wet floor meant we need to air the bathroom prior to use. Upon closer inspection, the shower screens and sink taps were very mouldy and had a lot of lime scale build up. The beds got made, but the rooms untouched otherwise. The cleaner emptied the bins but no other part of the house was cleaned as "the previous guests were pretty tidy, so she didn't need to". The cleaner was in the house for 46 minutes and left the wet mop and bucket outside the front door so that upon exiting we almost tripped over it. Someone turned up an hour later at almost 8pm bathmats as we were finally leaving for dinner. The dust accumulated on the bathroom lights is a fire hazard as they are heat lamps, the fans in the living room about 2 inches wider with dust. Some windows do not shut properly, and the fly screen in some cases is so badly ripped it serves only to cause lack of sleep as it slaps against the window in the night. The bunk beds were spring based, even with the smallest of adults, spent a sleepless night as she sunk almost to the floor. The lack of appropriate security meant we used chairs to secure doors. Overall, the property is in a good location, and being at the top of a hill has some great views. The common areas are, for the majority, well-appointed and if the property was maintained in a suitable fashion, it would be a beautiful home to relax in.

Needs maintenance

Property needs some TLC. Glasses and Cutlery in poor supply. Windows and fly screens need repair. Some lights not working. Garden maintenance required. Note left for owner so hopefully these issues will be fixed for next guests.

Having had a family discussion, we agreed how inviting & warm the vibe was once we walked in & aware we were staying the 5 nights, location ideal, facilities provided great & comunication with the Host was supportive & pleasant & no issues whatsoever & look forward to returning in future. Highly recommend to others.
