Perfect escape to slow down and really spend time together.Although there is wifi and tv the kids always prefer the trampoline, board games and time in nature.

Lemon Tree Shack was a great retro holiday shack. It is located in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, backing onto a nice waterfont reserve, close to Bowling and RSL clubs, and shops. Simon the host was helpful, informative, and prompt in response to questions.

Amazing location! Cute house!

We had the best time staying at Simons property. He was so lovely, giving us a call to organise bedding for us and run us through the layout of the house.. i loved all the quaint decor, really felt like i stepped back in time! House was very clean, and kitchen full of everything you could need to cook a meal. The neighbour's were lovely too, bringing us fresh crab from thier crab pots. We enjoyed the swings out in the reserve in front, and my son loved going fishing in the river. Lemon tree passage is such a cute area, highly recommend Simons property for a stay in the area!

This property takes you back to carefree childhood holidays by the water. A Crackerjack of a Shack

Homely, quirky, spacious and comfortable. A retro shack with a huge personality! Nothing pretentious, mind you, but a great place to chill, go kayaking (as we did. easily carrying the kayaks down to the water), fishing (not for us though, too impatient). There's a lovely walking track just out the back door of the Shack, and many other top tracks and board walks around Lemon Tree Passage. Simon is a brilliant host, making sure that we knew where everything was. What's more, Wayne and Carol are the perfect next door neighbours, welcoming and friendly. The Shack offers everything anyone could possibly want, except it will never be contemporaneous which is partly what gives it charm!

Lovely stay near water

Family friendly property. The communication regarding access to the property and activities to do in the area was really helpful! We booked 2 nights but something came up and we only stayed 1 night. Will be back next time!

Great retro getaway in a beautiful location

Had a great time at Simon's house. Communication was great and we had everything we needed. It's the perfect tranquil location by the water and a great getaway to do some golf and quad biking in the sand dunes. Poyers restaurant down the road was a hit too.

Great spot, what a treat

From the friendly neighbour, to the quirky 70s aesthetic, this place is a bunch of fun. Great entertaining area outside with easy access to the water. Kayaking and sand castles are easy, great for a young family. Short drive to the beautiful beaches of Newcastle.
