Njut av de 3 sovrummen på övervåningen i detta historiska hem bara två kvarter norr om den nya Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Way och Depot. Bekvämt beläget inom några minuter till allt som Temple, Belton, Salado och Waco har att erbjuda.

Det historiska centrumshuset har en lägenhet på övervåningen med ½ kök, vardagsrum, 3 sovrum och ett badrum - alla utgör 1500 kvadratmeter. Två dubbelsängar och en fullstor säng rymmer sex personer. Lägg till en extra person med futon soffan som fungerar som en sovhytt. Köket har mikrovågsugn, kylskåp och frys. Baglar till frukost i frysen med gräddost i kylen. Rostade dem upp och sitta ute på övervåningen på morgonen i Adirondack-stolarna och njut av en nybryggt kopp kaffe när du ser solen komma upp. Ett stort vardagsrum är perfekt för film på nattetid och popcornkväll. Avsluta kvällen med ett glas vin på verandan när månen stiger över stadens silhuett.

Beautiful Experience & Stay

It was a wonderful stay & experience! Susan & her friend, Jack who also assisted are delightful! The work she put into this beautiful historic home is wonderful and it is so nice having her art studio on the bottom level. We felt so at home and so appreciate Susan sharing her home & making it feel like a home away from home. Jack was very helpful to making himself available too, if/as needed. Hope to be back for another stay. Stop by for a visit and see Susan's great work & beautiful home!

Wonderful!

Such a cute and historic house. Loved the way Susan refurbished this home. Every aspect was on point and enjoyable. We were fine without a stove since there was a microwave. We could hear a traffic at night but it was tolerable. Susan was very pleasant and even set up a table and left out brushes for us to do some painting. :) Thank you Susan. We hope to make it an annual visit!

Interesting Stay

The property was nothing like I imagined and that was because I did not read the listing well. Everything is as described, please read carefully! The apartment (basically upstairs portion of an older home) only has a fridge/microwave/sink and table for 4. There is a coffee set up as well. I would say no more than 6 can sleep comfortably. I was the 7th and the futon was like a rock, we bought a blowup mattress for the second night. The area is near downtown and what sounds like a loading dock just behind the home. The host was easily accessible and quick to respond. We traveled locally to see a pumpkin patch and meet up with familia. We were grateful for all the memories made and thought it was a good weekend overall.

Convenient Location

We needed to commute to Waco a couple of times and the location was great. As noted, the stairs are indeed both steep and narrow, so we doubled up on caution. It’s definitely an older home; every step you take can be heard. I wouldn’t recommend for those who want to actually cook as the downstairs kitchen is through the gallery and seating is very limited. It’s a unique accommodation and we enjoyed viewing the art.

Art gallery home

The home was very clean and was a perfect fit for our family. It reminded me so much of my grandma’s house when I was a kid. Definitely enjoyed seeing Susan’s paintings as you enter through the gallery. Would definitely recommend this home.

We really enjoyed the Sterle Historical Home - it had everything we could need for an enjoyable stay. Susan was incredibly kind and made herself available. She even shared an interest in the work we were there to do and joined us for a special event. The artwork in her studio is beautiful, and a cup of coffee on the porch each morning was the perfect way to start the day. Would definitely book a stay again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Fishing on Lake Belton

This property was great. There was plenty of room to park 2 trucks & 2 boats. There was convenient placement of electrical outlets for the guys to plug in for charging trolling motors. Susan, the property owner responded quickly to any message I sent her. She was very nice and easy to deal with. We loved the house. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely book here again.

Family Getaway

Nice

Susan is very nice and inviting. The apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely renovated. There are a few things I think need to be mentioned. In the description she does mention the art studio on the first floor. So if she has a class going on there is not much privacy due to the open staircase up to the apartment. Also, there is a TV but no local channels just Roku.

So cozy and comfortable!

Would love to stay here again. Susan is great. Love historic, old homes. Her place has a lot of character and an overall good energy. Felt so comfortable, and honestly, like at home. Highly recommend this place to stay!

My name is Susan Sterle and I purchased this old house in Downtown Temple in 2005. When I purchased the house it was in disrepair and I started on a major renovation. After two years and a lot of new grey hair, I moved in. I lived downtown for roughly ten years and ran a freelance graphic design business from the downstairs offices. Last year I moved in with my mom and now am an artist. Currently, I paint and teach art classes downstairs and have a gallery. You can view my work on my blog at www.SusanSterleBlog.com.
