Great getaway!

Our group really enjoyed the location and cabin. We all had our own room and the cabin was very spacious. The lake itself was very clean and sandy, which is hard to find. Having our dogs with us was an added bonus!! The owners were on site and mostly kept away from our group, but did check in to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend this spot!!!

Everything worked great. Only thing was parking with trucks and boats was tight but it worked out. I’d stay again.

Return to Whitefish Lake

This was a sentimental journey for me - I spent my summers at our family cabin on Whitefish Lake. The property suited our needs very well. The views of Upper Whitefish from the deck and cabin are gorgeous. The cabin was well-furnished and equipped, with an older lake cabin vibe - not luxurious, but very comfortable. I caught sunfish from the dock. We also rented a pontoon boat at Bertha Boat Works and enjoyed tooling around the Whitefish Chain.It's an expensive rental, but it was just what we were looking for. My sister and I are already talking about returning.

Rather disappointed

Overall the cabin was nice, the grounds were beautiful and the beach was awesome. We knew that the owners were on the property in another house, however we didnt realize that meant they were basically on top of us. We had our trip booked roughly 6 months in advance. In our 5 day stay there was a gentleman taking up the deck doing some work on the house for 2 days. The work that was done was clearly decorative and was not needed and certainly was not needed to be done while the house was rented out. There was no advance notice of this, or various other repairs being done to the home by the owners. While the owners of the home are lovely people, we truly felt as though we were intruding in on their space and that we could not fully relax and enjoy our time. Also, for anyone going to stay... bring bug spray... we though we were well prepared. But anytime we left the deck to play in the yard or walk through the wooded path to get to the beach we were swarmed by biting flies. They rendered the beach almost unusable.

Cozy/beautiful beach

The cabin was perfect. Roomy, clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, bedding, towels and even beach towels. The only down side for a few of us 60+ was the huge steep hill to get down to the beach. There are steps as well, but lots of climbing stairs and hill. The landscaping and the beach are breathtaking. The water is sooooo clear and refreshing.

Annual family vacation

Nice house, plenty of beds. Enjoyed sitting on the deck. Easy drive to groceries and restaurants. Plenty of places to eat and get there by water.

Great time, once we were in

Unlike other bookings I've done, we did not receive instructions for entering even though I emailed and asked. I also never received an answer to the question I had when I booked. Eventually we tried the door and it was open and I did get instructions the next day. Otherwise everything was pretty great!

Great place!!

Perfect place for family gathering. A long ways down a hill to the water which was difficult for the grandparents but they did make it. Very quiet and peaceful area about 20 minutes to any store.l by car and about 30min to any restaurant by boat. It was nice to have a place to tie the boat up to.

It is a excellent place to stay. The deck was a fantastic place to hang out on. Only down size is there is a steep hill to get to the lake. Are family will definitely consider going back to this place in the future.

Abundant Land at the Lake

Great stay, all went well and met or exceeded our expectations. The owners who live next door are wonderful, social people who enhanced the experience by sharing their local knowledge. What we didn’t expect was the vast network of hiking trails on the property!

Great Place!

This was a great property on the Whitefish Chain. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking. The owner was readily available to answer questions and just a nice guy to boot. It is a bit of long walk down a hill to the lake, but the beach is amazing and there is plenty of space to dock a boat if you like.

Perfect long weekend getaway

This spacious cabin is perfectly equipped and in a convenient location. Lots of room to sit out on the deck and enjoy the lake view. Feels like you're miles away from everything but actually a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Owners are friendly and helpful. We would rent again.

Fantastic winter wonderland!

My roommates and I had a wonderful stay at this property and enjoyed getting out of the city. We had a great time using the fire pit, playing games, cooking meals in the big kitchen, and watching movies on the VHS. We can’t wait to return when the weather warms!

Plenty of Space

We had a very nice stay in a spacious, yet cozy cabin. Views to the lake are excellent through the dining and living room windows. Plenty of cooking and bakeware - we used it, and ate well! Nice assortment of games, puzzles, and books to keep the kids occupied! Nice and quiet location amongst the pine trees - it was hard to go home. Thank you!

Family and friends cabin trip

Cabin was very spacious, owners were very gracious with their property. There were lots of nice amenities in the kitchen, I would highly recommend staying here with children.

Not an accurate listing and microwave didn’t work

Listing indicated we would have cable, that is not the case. They have internet but it didn’t work the first day and they claimed they had Netflix but that wasn’t the case either. Microwave was broken when arrived and never fixed. Looked like the place hadn’t been cleaned on the outside in months. Disappointed with this stay as we have stayed and much better places for less. Owner did communicate with us but renter also needs to know that owner is directly next to them and somewhat share the deck.

Family weekend

Good for our family, (4 grown children with 3 small ones). Loved the gathering space, kitchen, dinning and living room...we could all be together and still see the great white outdoors (and deer)!! Road was well cleared of snow (narrow, so glad we didn't meet another vehicle) the hill down to cabin was slippery so glad for SUV's ...most of us parked on top by garage! Only recommendation would be to put numbers on cabin. Thank you for the nice family weekend!!

Great place, great location, great place, but a few things to keep in mind...

Hi, We enjoyed the spot and it was close to a lot of my favorite fishing lakes. Everything was great. You have everything, as far as bed sheeting, utensils, and all other accommodations. I love all your appliances, which were more than enough. However, you do need to fix the leaking ceiling of the room closest to the back door. Other minor things we found needing a quick tune up: the master bedroom bathroom can not lock. The door lock needs adjustments. The bunk bed door locks, but does get stuck in the locking position. Last but not least, if it is winter, especially with snow, make sure to warn your guests that they can get stuck if they choose to park near the cabin, below the hill. Because of the snow, 2 of our cars did gets stuck, even a AWD. We had an ATV which we used, plus 4 people to push the cars out. Other than that, it was a nice place, lots of space, perfect for a family getaway near some of the best lakes in MN. Thanks!
