A bed for everyone

We stayed at the Highlands house as an extended family of 9 from Florida to enjoy a winter vacation. The house was located nicely for all of our activities. Wal-Mart, Safeway and Frisco Adventure Park were a short drive north, and Breckenridge was a short drive to the south. The house was spacious. Everyone had a bed and most had their own private bath. Fireplaces around the house made for warm and cozy ambiance. The kids were able to play in the ample snow right in the yard and a couple of sleds were in the garage for their use. We rented 2 vehicles for our stay and we’re glad to be able to park both in the enclosed garage.

Perfect Place to stay

Loved this house! The kitchen. Bedrooms and hang out spots were wonderful. The shuttle to breckenridge was very stress free as it was so nice to be picked up and dropped off. Highly recommend this place!!

Family Vacation

Great property! Our kids and grandkids came in from all across the country each family group had their own room and bathrooms. We have been coming to Breckenridge for years together, but this was our best outfitted house we have had. Loved the area north of town. Highest recommendation! Would love to stay there again!

Excellent stay!!! So happy with everything

I can not stop raving about how great our stay was. We were there for a our annual family ski trip and this house exceeded our expectations. Super clean, the house was perfect for all our family members. Jacuzzi was super clean and nice. The shuttle was a super plus to get around to the ski lift. Would definitely recommend as we are thinking of booking this house for again next year!

Great spot for a family vacation

Our family of 5 spent 4 wonderful nights at this great 'Colorado Mountainhouse' in Breckenridge. Ample room with with a variety of different rooms to gather in. A short easy drive from this beautiful neighborhood to downtown Breck. Fun mountainbike trails right outside the back door. Starry nights in the hot tub. Can't go wrong!

Perfect House

I must say that this house was more than perfect. We were 3 families and the room and common areas were just perfect. Everyone had a great room. The shuttle transportation was a big plus too. Communication was great too. Definitely will come back !! Thank you

Great House

Overall it was a great house. There was an issue with the fireplace which was fixed right away. I still gave 5 stars even with this issue because of the quick response. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us and we were even able to eat together at 1 table which is hard to find.

Amazing home

The location of the home was great. It was perfect for 10 of us, more than enough room. When I needed to contact staff about the home they were so helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here. When we go back we hope to stay here again. One thing that could be improved was the water pressure. It was a little low and not all showers could be used at the same time, hot water would run out pretty quick. Other than that amazing home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Highlands Trail

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice and in a great location for going to different ski hills. It would have been nice if the deck area was cleared of snow so we could enjoy our coffee on the deck. The front entryway was also not shoveled and cleared to walk up. That was disappointing because you would think the house would be prepared so you could enjoy all of its features and not have to only use the garage on the bottom level to enter. Also small things like one small roll of paper towels and one box of tissue paper for an entire week with 6 guests was totally inadequate. We had to go out and buy our own house supplies. Bedsheets in master bedroom were dirty with stains when we first arrived. The water temperature in all the bathrooms were not consistent. The water temperatures changed from hot to cold continuously while showering even when only the one shower was being used.

Great home located close to Breckenridge

We had 5 adults and 5 kids ages 6-12. Spent 6 nights. House was excellent! As nice or nicer than the pictures and well cared for. Very spacious and comfortable. Nice to be able to park cars (Suburban) in garage. Lot size was nice so there are neighbors, but not too close and didn't see any. Did see a fox playing in area. All sleeping rooms were very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms good. Nice they provided basic supplies like soap, trash bags, bathroom TP, soaps/lotions. Plenty of towels. Nice TV's in each room. Good internet service. Fireplaces were hot! and cozy. Great for drying out ski gear. Hot tub was perfect after day of skiing. We highly recommend this house!

Very Nice,,,,,but

Location was great, just a short drive into Breck or Frisco and the neighborhood was very quiet. The first 1.5 days we had no heat or hot water, a mechanical contractor had to be called (thank goodness it was not cold outside) but we had 2 small children and a baby,,,,, we boiled a lot of water! The outside patio/deck furniture was very worn. There can be more furniture and a few tables also,,,,, this did not keep us just enjoying the decks. We love to come to the mountains in the summer/fall, so we will come again, but we will not be staying at The Highlands house. Thanks

Nice place!

Online descriptions / photos are very representative. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very well maintained property. Appreciated the QR codes around the house that linked to check-in, check-out details. Especially appreciated the easy checkout! (E.g., allowed to leave food in the fridge, etc.)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was nice but there was a serious lack of the everyday use items like paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap. For the money spent I would expect more than two of the smallest rolls of paper towels I have ever seen, single ply toilet paper you would find in the cheapest gas station bathroom, and not enough laundry soap to run more that one load of hot tub towels. Very skimpy for the money you are spending. The kitchen sink takes forever to run cold water and spits out extremely hot water within a second of turning it on. It will then start to cool and then go right back to being scolding hot. The home had games and other things for entertainment which was nice. The hot tub was well maintained and the management company was polite and professional. I won't lie though, I go on a ski trip to Breck every year for 4-5 days and I wouldn't seek out this property again because of the sheer cheapness of provided items. I have never stayed in a house up there that is ment to sleep 14 people and had to go to the store to pick up toilet paper and paper towels because there was an inadequate amount there. For $5k-$6k I should have these basic items and enough to last 4-5days.
