Amazing property! Whales breaching, condors circling, fox, bobcats. We saw it all. It was hard to leave. If it ever goes up for sale I’d be interested!

A beautiful spot! What a treat!

Our family of 4 got together here to celebrate our sons birthday. This was a perfect spot so convenient to everything from restaurants and hiking spots. You really don't need to leave the house its so perfect. Hope we can return again soon!

Big Sur Weekend Away

Easy access and plenty parking. Outside living area perfect for good weather, the view is outstanding! Property is ideal for adults.Host requires additional contract to review, sign and return. Issues raised to host were responded to quickly.Very poor cell and WiFi connectivity.

This was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we have ever stayed. Big Sur is a magical place and this property captures that magic in full. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully considered and provided for by the owners. Truly worth it.

Girls 60th Birthday

Our stay was wonderful. The views are spectacular and the house is well appointed. Lots of options for seating and congregating. Pool was great on hot afternoons. Only one person used the hot tub. I would say anyone with mobility issues should give consideration to the changes in footing around different spaces on property. I probably won’t be back to this area soon, but I would rent this property again.

Absolutely fabulous

This is one of the nicest VRBO properties that we have ever stayed at. The view is unbelievable. The house is so beautiful and well laid out. The beds were super comfortable and there are lots of special touches such as cozy blankets, fun books and games, and an extremely well stocked kitchen. The fireplace is wonderful and there is plenty of outdoor furniture for the entire family to enjoy. We cannot wait to return!!!

An Architectural and Scenery Dream

We had the best stay at this home. My husband, friends, and I rent a large home somewhere on the west coast every year and this has been our favorite so far. The home is gorgeous and cozy. There is everything you could need in the kitchen. The scenery is breathtaking. It is a tad confusing to get to (through no fault of their own) and one neighbor clearly hates that it is a rental, but otherwise it is an incredible place. I would definitely recommend staying here and if we are ever in the area again would love to stay here again!

Pictures don’t do it justice!

You can’t hear the ocean but you sure can see it! Phenomenal views. House is from the 80s but great bones - quality everything, bedding furniture etc + some real art gems. Mostly everything you could need in kitchen - we cooked all our meals there. If you’re a cook, bring your cutting boards, baking sheets, measuring spoons and evoo. They have everything else. 5 minute drive to cafes and lunch spots. But grab your groceries and liquor beforehand in Carmel or Monterey. Gorgeous Pfeiffer beach close and easy to get to. Everything worked perfectly. Private relaxing retreat for your next special getaway. Highly recommend!

Simply Gorgeous

This house is exactly what you think you are getting - epic views, massive deck, and Big Sur charm. We celebrated a milestone birthday and the house was the perfect getaway. Be sure to enjoy the stars at night as they light up the sky unlike anywhere else in Cali.The rooms are large and well appointed. The pictures don't do it justice. The homeowner provides special flashlights at the front door so it is easy to get around in the evening, especially when going from the house to your car or the guesthouse. We cooked in one night and the kitchen has everything you need. The only suggestion I made to the homeowner was to replace the teflon pans (they had wear and tear) most likely because guests were putting them in the dishwasher. The coffee setup is impressive with a home espresso machine, a moccamaster and French press options. We would book this home again. It is quiet and private. The homeowner was delightful to work with and we felt like it was worth every penny.

Big Sur Magic

This house and its hosts deserve 10 stars. The only possible draw back is that the house and its surroundings are so incredibly beautiful, it’s hard to justify sleeping. The views were incredible, ever changing and always magical. The layout of the outdoor space created the most perfect micro-climate - the deck and pool area were warm and sunny and protected from the wind during our spring stay. We enjoyed the ample wood pile and layer a fire every night in the super comfy living room after enjoying the stars around the fire table on the deck. The location was steps from Nepenthe and the Phoenix shop and close enough to pop into Monterey very easily for a trip to the Aquarium. Also close by are Andrew Molera State Park and Pfieffer State Park. I cannot say enough about this house - I truly hope I can experience it again very soon.

Big Sur's Best

In the heart of Big Sur the location couldn't have been better nor could the view. This was our 17th stay in Big Sur over the past 20 years so we have some experience. Would we rent this house again? Yes. Would we recommend to friends? Yes. That being said, there were a few issues. On our arrival, as requested, we reported ripped deck cushions and a running toilet in one of the bedroom suites that was keeping people up at night. We were thanked for calling, especially regarding the running toilet as wasting water in Big Sur is a big deal. I was surprised when nobody came to fix it and it ran the entire time we were there disturbing two people's sleep.

Moldy unusable bedroom

The attached bedroom smelled so badly of mold and the sickeningly sweet scent of the air freshener trying to cover it up that two of the adults in our party couldn’t sleep there and had to sleep on the couch in the main house. That is NOT what we paid thousands of dollars for. Also a bright outside light that blinked all night kept us from sleeping well. Only two hand towels for 4 guests. This was a travesty!

Amazing Views * Great House

Everyone agreed this was a wonderful place to stay - 5 stars on everything except for a few things. None of which were really bad, but to help others pack for their adventures. The refrigerator is small, the toilet paper was the cheapestn (1 ply like tissue paper) we ended up buying our own, we could not find any measuring cups/spoons or cookie sheets and we cooked and baked. If any one in your group has knee problem the many stairs can be difficult, esp. the unevenness of the stairs down to the house (we had one person fall) and the only bathrooms close to the deck and pool, is up stairs on the second floor of the house and up worse stairs to the guest house. So if you have seniors (which we did) be prepared. Would we go again - totally. If fact everyone voted it is a once a year must. ♥
