Come here for peace and serenity

What a wonderful place! If you want to get away and center your mind, come here. Comfortable, clean and secluded. Everything you need is here, and Ken was very helpful. Best vacation I've had and the whole family recharged their batteries.

Ice fishing weekend

Great time ice fishing. We were 5 guys and fit fine at the rental. Kitchen was well equipped for making meals. Access to river during the winter with a side by side we had to go to different entry point but it wasn’t far. Owner was next door so any questions were addressed immediately. Would recommend.

Relaxing with a view

The rental was beautiful inside. It had everthing that we needed. But the real beauty is the view. It was so quiet and relaxing. Ken was a great host.

Beautiful place!

We had been coming up to Big Lake for many years and staying at other cabins. This was a great upgrade in every aspect. Roomy and updated kitchen, comfortable beds and spacious and clean bathroom. We had access to almost everything on the property including fire pit(s), gas grill, gazebo and pool table! Even when we had a rainy day that kept us from a full day of fishing, there was plenty to keep us and our 10 year old busy (pool table / direct TV etc). The host, Ken, was very pleasant and helpful. He even let us borrow a few fishing lures!. There was a communication issue on renting his boat, which was not available when we thought is was. He was quick to get us a contact to rent a boat, which was brought to the nearby boat launch within 2 hours. The location is serene and exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to come back!

What an incredible location!

We love staying at this lovely little cabin. This is a serene, quiet property off the beaten path and the views from the deck and yard are amazingly beautiful. This was our second stay and won’t be our last! Ken is a kind and accommodating host. I highly recommend this property!

Great place to stay at Big Lake! We had a great time fishing (as usual), and Ken’s accommodations were perfect for our group. Clean, comfortable and stocked with every convenience we might require! Ken is a gracious and attentive host.

Relaxing place

The place is beautiful and so relaxing. Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Ken is a perfect host - kind and helpful and accomodating. The lodging was comfortable and clean and well stocked with anything we needed. There is nothing to improve or change. Its that good. Note that Ken's directions is the best route to follow - better than alternate route of the GPS.

Big Lake Summer 2022

Our family had a great time at the lake. The apartment had all of the amenities and was very comfortable. We spent most days fishing and swimming. Ken was a good host and on our way home we stopped at The Old School House Restaurant for breakfast which has awesome homemade bread.

Big Lake house rental

Beautiful place we stayed in, lovely area, super quiet and relaxing. Ken was super accommodating. The town had a great fireworks show on the lake to celebrate the 4th of July.

Beautiful property and comfortable stay

If you want a secluded stay on a lake close to a small village, this is you place. Everything was perfect for a getaway. Very happy traveler. Be careful of GPS when you are 25 miles out, you end up in a long gravel road (pounding yuck). Follow property owner written directions :). Watch for bear on stump at driveway entrance. When you arrive at main house, take a right and go down the slope next to the first garage and around back. Park by furthest garage and take yard to the right all the way around to the deck facing the lake! You are there. 🙂
