In 2010 we bought Finca Santa Ana as a holiday home, actually by coincidence. This house turned out to be the start of a new adventure and then in Spain.
We have been coming to this area since 1995 because of the wonderful climate and the many golf courses. During a busy life as owners of two large party centers in the Netherlands, this area was a welcome place to relax. In 2003, after the sale of 1 of the companies, we already lived in Spain for a year.
When we had sold both party centers and were looking for a new challenge, we came across the finca for sale during a visit with friends. We were immediately enthusiastic. Soon after, we saw that the local hotel was also neglected and for sale and in 2011 we started the renovation and rebuilding of La Posada del Angel. After many renovations, the extension with a swimming pool, the extension with 3 holiday homes in Ojén and an increasingly busy hotel, a buyer suddenly arrived and in 2019 took over the operation from us.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Together we rent the houses to holidaymakers and this gives the tenants the opportunity to also use the facilities of the hotel. Alex, the new owner, is a great cook and provides meals three times a week. You can also have breakfast on the beautiful patio, use the heated swimming pool and get information about all the activities in the area, although the houses also have an extensive information book.
In the village square of OjĂ©n you will also find TeterĂa âPinchos y Chocolateâ run by Veerle and Richard. After working with us in the hotel for a number of years, they started their own restaurant. We still work with them too. You can always contact them with questions about the houses, for information, or for tasty tapas, a meal or homemade cake.
We now live with our teenage sons in the center of Marbella, but we are still in Ojén almost every day. We also finally found time to make the walks and trips that we never got around to. By means of a blog we will keep you informed of our findings and all new activities that are being developed in the area.

On the main floor there is a lot of light and the house is surrounded by terraces, even one with an outside kitchen.
Downstairs there are sleeping rooms at the shadow site of the house.
It's a quiet place but very close to the centre of the village, where you can be walking, in 7 minutes.
The house has a lot of modern conveniences, like fast internet, airconditioning, an extensive kitchen and a small private swimming pool.
