Beautiful Lake Front Property!

We loved staying here. The home was big enough for our party of 12 ranging from ages 7 to age 85. The property was serene, the kids loved the kayaks, and my parents loved eating out on the porch watching the water. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

A little piece of heaven!

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet!! Everything you could want in a vacation rental. The view is wonderful! Beautiful fall colors! The woods come alive at night with wildlife! Deer, raccoons, chipmunks, beavers. Just a lovely home, inside and out! Host was very easy to communicate with and checked with us during the week. We loved our stay!

Family Friendly

This property did not disappoint and was just as described in the listing! We had ages 9 to 82 on the trip and everyone enjoyed all the place had to offer! We kayaked, fished, peddle boated, and hung out on the many piers the place had to offer. Recommend for sure! Property owner was very responsive to communication and is always a plus!

Family Lay Lake Vacay

We had not all been together for almost 6 yrs and Solitude on Lay Lake was the ideal place for us to spend time together, share and make memories. The home both indoor and outdoor was set up with many places to hang out, float in lake, go boating, play corn hole or play pool or just lounge on porch swings or at fire pit - we had a great time - Thank you, Solitude!

Loved the property

My family and I were there for 5 days for a car show and we rented this property. It was far more than we expected. Plenty of room, beautiful inside and out and plenty to do. We used the paddle boat, went fishing, had a smores cook out, bon fire, played pool, played cards and enjoyed the many swings. The house was loaded with items most VRBOs do not have like, garbage bags, condiments, good toilet paper, smores sticks, firewood, and propane for the gas grill. I highly recommend this home.

Amazing

We had a wonderful time at this property; the pictures don’t do it justice! Perfect location, plenty of room, right on the water. The kayaks were great and the pool table in the basement was a nice extra as well. Property manager was lovely and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again.

We booked this property for our family for the 4th of July. Everything was fantastic. We had our boat with us so the docks, the marina and the boat ramp being so close was perfect. The owners were great, couldn’t have gone smoother. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful retreat!

This property is amazing!! Gorgeous views of the lake, luxury furnishings and plenty of room for everyone. My family was in town for a funeral and wanted to spend time together instead of dealing with separate hotel rooms. “Solitude” gave us all of that. I couldn’t ask for a more pleasant experience!

Happy November stay.

We loved our time here. Wonderful setting. (Just a mention...stairs involved for daily access to water but a ramp available to access house from driveway.) Once inside the house was clean, the beds were super comfy, lots of space for everyone and the kitchen was central and nicely updated. Great deck with beautiful view out to the lake. The new boardwalk runs a good distance and will tempt you away from the house, maybe to fish. Owners care about their rental and are avail. We happily recommend this property.

Family get together

What an amazing vacation had by all! Dawn was exceptional with communication. Enough space for all us. Awesome kitchen to prep and cook in. The decks and piers were wonderful to enjoy the awesome weather! Dock was perfect for the boat and we can't say enough about that lake!!!! Will we be back??? DEFINITELY YES!!!!!

Gorgeous inside and out

I wanted to find a place that was in-between our children so everyone could be together for Christmas. The pictures did not do it justice. The home is simply perfect. The kitchen had all the appliances you need including a crockpot. Bathrooms for all the rooms. And the swing on the back porch was so nice to sit in and watch the water. They even decorated it for Christmas for us. The owners were amazing and had everything ready for you. It was the best relaxing Christmas we've had. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Some of the best memories were made here.

We booked this property, "Solitude" about nine months before the stay and were so excited to find a beautiful water-front home in just a little over three hours away. The property owner is very nice! We celebrated a 60th birthday for an avid bass fisherman. When arriving, it was easy to find and within viewing distance of a nice public boat ramp. We lucked out and got to watch some Bassmasters professionals practice fish during our stay from the house balcony. The house was very clean and inviting. The setup of the living room, kitchen, and dining room was perfect for eight adults. We particularly loved the large dining room table, the kitchen counter space to set up buffet-style meals, and two refrigerators. The kitchen had just about everything a group would need to prepare meals. We loved having the K-cup machine and four-slice toaster. The main frig has fresh water and ice which was great to save from having to buy several cases of water bottles. The bedrooms were inviting. The hall bedrooms share a Jack-n-Jill bathroom. The master bedroom has a private bathroom with walk-in shower with a seat (great for shaving legs). We loved how cool the air conditioning felt and having all the ceiling fans on after a long day outside in the heat. We spend many hours outside enjoying the sun deck with four chaise lounges and the morning lake breeze. The people who fished absolutely loved the lake-frontage and various areas to cast a line. We spend hours on the screened porch watching the boats launching and trailering, the geese swimming, the turtles popping out of the water, etc. It was very peaceful! In the evenings, we heard whippoorwills and a few different frogs/toads. It was too hot to enjoy the bonfire, but we loved how all the twigs and limbs were placed in the firepit to get the fire started before using the logs. What a great idea! We spent time on the lower level playing cornhole one afternoon/evening. It was so nice with the ceiling fan on and in the shade. I could type a book about our stay. To wrap it up, I'd say this is the perfect place to go and make great memories for a group of eight adults (sleeps 12, but four beds are twin-sized) looking for an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of work and routine life. You will not find another place in at least several hours radius with the views, water-front property, house and dock layouts, amenities, and location of this place. We are already discussing when to go back!

Family Vacation July 2022

We had an amazing vacation with our family! The house was perfect with plenty of space to gather together or separate into smaller groups! The view was amazing too! Our crew enjoyed fishing, swimming, corn hole, and lots of games of pool! Communication with the owners was simple and very pleasant!

Family lake fun

We loved this property, we brought out boat and used the covered boat slip. We enjoyed the location of the home. The house was comfortable for all of us. Enjoyed the deck, covered porch, kitchen, and just relaxing at night watching tv after enjoying the lake all day. We enjoyed cruising the late to the north and south. The house is close to the deep water, so enjoyed tubing, water-skiing, wake-boarding, and just floating. The water temp was perfect. We definitely would return to this property:)

Perfection

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. There is an additional fridge in the basement that came in handy when grocery shopping for a large group. The fish feeder in the fishing pier was also a big hit. Plenty of deck space for laying out and to tie up our multiple jet skis and boats. You can see the boat ramp from the house so it was very convenient to launch. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Fishing in the lake was great, we caught lots of bream and catfish. The pictures don't do it justice, book this house today!!
