After Dune Delight is a beautiful coastal cottage located at The Rookery in the Fort Morgan area of Gulf Shores! This cottage is perfect to getaway, unwind and enjoy!
Enjoy the tropical indoor and outdoor living with a cozy screened in porch and an relaxing sitting area surrounded by palm trees. This is beautiful cottage has recently been remodeled with stunning hardwood floors through-out and coastal interior colors and beautiful furniture! The open floor plan makes entertaining perfect! The kitchen is beautifully set-up for everything you will need for your vacation!

Awesome Stay

Everything was as advertised. We were right next to the pool which was nice. We really enjoyed our stay. It was one of the best trips we’ve had.

Great stay in Fort Morgan!

This was a great place for our family to enjoy some time together. The bunk room was perfect for the cousins, ages 8, 12, and 14. We appreciated the proximity to the pool and the convenient parking. The neighborhood was peaceful, even during a holiday. Checking in and out was easy, and we didn't need to contact the property manager because everything was working, and we had everything we needed.

Great Family Beach Trip

We had a great vacation to Fort Morgan and After Dune Delight was a great place to stay. We loved the beach and the neighborhood pool. We saw an alligator in one of the ponds, as well as other wildlife. We also saw the Blue Angels practicing. The house was roomy and well equipped. We highly recommend it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was exactly as shown in the photos! Beautifully decorated and convenient to Ft. Morgan. The only "issue" I had is that the king-size mattress needs to be replaced or reinforced. Without this, I would have given them 5-stars.

Honestly, best rental I've ever had

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This little place aesthetically looked the best on the property because of its little front yard sand pit deal. The inside was perfect and my children constantly said it felt like home. The ONLY downside I had which isn't big at all, was we're all hot natured and during a sunny summer day the AC has trouble keeping up (set at 68, was 76 max inside). We got used to it though. Besides we were out all day so it mattered little. Location is a 20min drive to things like the hangout but the stay was 100% worth it. The pool on-sight was clean and well maintained as well. We will definitely be renting again in future.

The cottage was so cozy and welcoming. The trip to the beach was quick and easy. We had everything we needed in the cottage. We hated to leave.

Terrible bugs, bad beds, poor kitchen

The nats or "No See Ums" ate us up. We tried different bug sprays but nothing helped. We could not be outside at all. The master bedroom mattress was so worn out and soft we just sank. The fitted sheets did not fit the bed and came off the mattress every night. The guest room with a queen bed didn't even have fitted sheets. The review stated the top rack of the dishwasher was missing/gone and no one replaced it...it was still missing. The pans were all worn, rusted and in poor condition. The light in the fridge was missing ( I bought one and installed) and the it froze food in the refrigerator and leaked water from the ice maker in the freezer into the refrigerator and destroyed vegetables. The garbage disposal sounded like it had loose parts and we never used it again. The light above the stove in the microwave was not working ( also probably just burnt out but no one seems to check or cares). The fan in the guest room only ran on high or not as all. The wifi was so poor you couldn't use it for calls or conferences and was very slow all the time The outside grill was rusted to pieces and you could only use a portion of it, but again the bugs made that miserable. The pool IS NOT HEATED. The pool was the reason we came here as we thought it would be nice for the grandkids who are 4 and 6. Was told they use to heat it but do not anymore. The photos show a fire pit in the front yard area but there is not one, although the neighbors had one, but again the bugs would have made it impossible to use. Asking others in the resort about the bugs and they stated the bugs are there all year. They have an ALEXA but it worked half the time or not at all, probably due to the poor wifi. We have had a number of rentals in the past and this was by far the most disappointing. The heat stopped working two days after our arrival and they came out the afternoon of the first day to confirmed it wasn't working and then called the repair company who came out the following day and repaired it. So two days with no heat. We will not be back!!

After Dune Delight

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was good. There were some things that need to be fixed. The dishwasher doesn't have a top rack, the dryer door is broken so you have to use a hanger to open it. The screen door needs to be repaired and is currently tied to the deck to keep it open. The golf cart was also not available to be rented which was frustrating. The house was fairly clean. We liked having the kids separated from the other bedrooms and we did enjoy having the house across from the pool.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all my family had a great vacation at the cottage but the unit needs to be cleaned better. Some issues include shower curtain full of mold, dishes stored in cupboards with dried on food, dirt and belongings from other travelers under the furniture. We overall had a great time at the unit but the cleaning crew needs to improve significantly.

Quiet get away a short stroll from the beach

We enjoyed our stay - the house was just as expected. No problems whatsoever with the house or touching base with the manager. The stroll to the beach was easy and the hot tub was great after a day playing in the surf. Great space and a great getaway for our family.

Nice house but none of the amenities worked

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got to the house and the WiFi didn’t work. The password was incorrect and no one could figure it out. The owners were supposed to be in contact with us since they were coming in and we never heard from anyone. The golf cart was nice but was never told where the key was and by time we found it it was our last day and when we went to use it it was completely dead. There’s no cell signal so the no WiFi was a huge issue. We were supposed to hear from someone and never did. It’s a great location and beautiful house but the golf cart was a bust (plus had duct tape holding the top on), the WiFi didn’t work and no one really seemed to care or help with it, and the tv only had like 5 channels.

Delightful visit

Nice updated home in a fabulous "off the beaten path" location. Family of 6 stayed for 4 nights with no problem. Property was clean and updated. Fully stocked kitchen allowed us to enjoy home cooked meals 1-2 times a day. No high rises or crowds. Beach access over 1/2 mile away with limited parking, so rent the golf cart if you can. Pool and hot-tub across the street from property was well maintained.

Beautiful location!

We had a blast at the Rookery. Our unit was perfect for our family get away of 6 adults, 3 kids. Everything was great except that the WiFi only worked our first day for like 12 hours. It was out the rest of the time and the management company was no help getting it fixed (we called twice). We reset the router and could see it and were logged in but had no service. Very frustrating especially since cell service was limited so not even my hot spot worked. Kids couldn’t stream a show at night and I couldn’t log into work.
