This newly renovated 4 bedroom 2 bath home features beautiful views of Lake Tahoe from almost every room in the house. On the entry level, there is a large game room with an entertainment center, a pool table and a pull-out sofa. There are 2 bedrooms on this level that share a large remodeled bathroom. Upstairs is the main living area, dining room, and huge kitchen perfectly suited for entertaining friends and family. There are 2 more rooms upstairs and a common bathroom. In the summer enjoy the large sunny deck perfect for relaxing and BBQ-ing after a day exploring all Tahoe has to offer. Public Beach is just down the road, do not use the private beach out front. Blackwood Canyon is just down the road offering great day hikes and a lovely creek. Or hop on to the bike path to Tahoe City. In the winter you are located minutes from Homewood Mountain and Alpine and Squaw Valley are 20 minutes away. There is an exterior Ring camera at the front entry.

All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans.

Really nice home

Nice house, great property mgmt, not likely to stay here again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has great views and space. Clean and has everything you need. Property mgmt was very kind and responsive. Issue is the neighbors. I think most of the houses around this house are privately owned and so I understand being respectful. There’s a 3 car parking rule which I also respect but there were 2 times over the course of the week where family staying in the area stopped by for no more than 15 minutes and the neighbors would complain and threatened to fine us $1500. Made the whole stay not very fun and very stressful. Probably picking another house next time.

Absolutely perfect

We loved everything about this home! Perfect location between Sunnyside and Chambers, just off the lake with amazing views. As much as I hate the new “private beach” rules that don’t allow renters to use the beach right in front of the house it really didn’t matter here as the the public beach access is like an extra 3 minute walk. House is so quintessential Tahoe, and so well equipped, beautiful, comfortable and fun. I really can’t say enough about how much we loved it.

Perfect thanksgiving week!

House is amazing - big, gorgeous views, perfect location. Comfortable beds, good showers, and kitchen was WONDERFUL for hosting our thanksgiving. We're big into cooking and meals, and the kitchen was beautifully appointed - plus new appliances and tons of pots n pans. Will definitely stay here again. Was more than enough space for my elderly parents, my aunt, my two kids (ages 4 and 7) and my husband and I. Great location with shopping options nearby, and not far from the path along the lake for walking the dog. Lovely fireplace and big TV with Roku for snuggling on the comfy couches and watching movies together while we cooked.

A real cozy lodge with the lakeview

For someone who loves to cook, have a relax bar-b-que on the deck, or walk my dog to the lake just across the street, and comeback home dip in the hot tub while the kids enjoy the pool table. It was quite an unwind weekend.

Great house but VERY disappointing experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 looked forward to this vacation for a year. The house was lovely and well situated on the west shore...with great views of the lake. The deck was great and the hot tub and pool table were a hit with the young people. The beach was very convenient...right across the street until we were told by locals that it was private. The most difficult part of this trip was that the refrigerator was not working. There were guests that checked out the morning we arrived but didn't report it so it must have happened in between their leaving and our arriving. We called the emergency number immediately on Saturday when we arrived but they told us that they would pass the message on to the managing agency on Monday morning...that was not helpful. They sent a repair person out on Monday but he was not able to fix it. Eventually they delivered a small college dorm size fridge on Wednesday, 5 days into a 7 day vacation. If any appliance had gone out it would have been manageable, but a refrigerator was unacceptable. We spent many hours of our vacation going to town to replace the ice and time trying to find where certain foods were in 5 ice packed chests. Many items were spoiled when ice melted and they floated in water or got too warm. This was the biggest challenge any of us had encountered on any vacation we have ever had. It was no one's fault, however...this should have been anticipated by a management company knowing that people cannot function without refrigerator in a home this size...we had not planned on this being a camping trip. My husband called surrounding area stores and found many had refrigerators on the floor that could have been picked up by the rental agency and delivered to us but that didn't seem to be an option. They did refund one night and our costs. We felt one night was not adequate to the inconvenience we encountered. We would not have gone if we had known in advance we would have 7 days without a refrigerator.

Great family vacation home!

We loved our long weekend at Sherman’s Lodge. It was extremely well appointed and clean. The bonus room downstairs was perfect for our young adult children for playing pool, watching TV and staying up later than the rest of us. Quiet neighborhood, spacious deck and killer lake views! Check in and out were a breeze. We will definitely stay there again!

Wonderful family weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay. Everyone was happy and comfortable. Only problem was with the electrical system the last evening after we used the hot tub. Some lights did not work and dishwasher would not run. Breakers probably were tripped. Only other suggestion is to supply a table cloth for dining room table as it is sticky and needs to be refinished. We would stay here again.

Another great vacation at the Sherman's

Beautiful location, but get the spa working!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home and location is beautiful! However the spa did not have power going to it, and it was why we rented this cabin so it was very disappointing. My husband's a disabled veteran and was looking forward to using it for some relief... When we called for assistance about it we were told that the person that handles this rental is off on the weekend, and the only handyman was out of town, which again was disappointing. We felt paying for a top vacation home, that we would receive too customer service, and that was not the case.The home amenities were great...the kitchen had all the dishes and things we could need to make everything we planned. It was also a nice surprise to find a crib in a closet, as we didn't bring ours!I would recommend friends to stay here as it was beautiful, but I'd tell them to double check the status on any specific amenities they are looking to use.
