A great location makes for the perfect family getaway. Stay and experience the sun, surf and stunning views. Our family bach is modern and equipped with everything you need, making your getaway easy and carefree. Stay for a weekend or a while - rain, hail or shine there is always something to do. The bach has its own games room, private parking, wifi, good cellphone reception and beach access too.

Our Family Bach:

• Comfortably sleeps 6 people – 2 queen beds, 1 double bunk bed with single mattress PLUS sofa bed + single mattress
• Games Room with tv, xbox, wifi, ping pong table and board games
• Cosy Entertainment Area
• Beach access to safe, swimming beach with lifeguards on duty during summer time (2-minute walk).
• Local supermarket and cafe within a 10-minute walk
• Forest walks and bike tracks located at the end of the street
• Wifi – Fibre
• Cell phone reception
• TV with Sky Sport, Sky Entertainment, Apple TV, Netflix and sound system.

No unfortunately. Please bring your own.

You do not need to meet us at the bach to receive the keys. The on-site lockbox gives you the flexibility to arrive any time you’d like. Upon departure, please leave keys in lockbox.

Waitarere Beach is a user-friendly beach, with something for everyone. Walk, swim or fish, the beach is accessible by vehicle and large enough to find your very own spot. Lifeguards are on patrol during the summer too. Still want more? There are accessible bike tracks, parks and walks to do within close proximity.

Levin is an easy, 15-minute drive away. While Wellington is 1 hour and 20 minutes and Taupo 3 hours and 45 minutes. The streets of Waitarere are safe, laid back and easy to navigate too - making it easy to travel by foot or vehicle.

This was an amazing place with more than expected provided. Kids had plenty to do, beach access and proximity to everything - fantastic.The family owners were also really nice. Tops.

Perfect girls weekend!

An excellent property with everything you could need and more. Very comfortable beds and a great place to spend a super chilled girls weekend. The owner was super friendly, helpful and easy to deal with! If visiting make sure you check out Waitarere Beach cafe and also Ollie's Bar and Eatery, both were excellent!!

Home from home

We found everything we could need at the holiday house. My grandchildren enjoyed being able to access the beach without crossing any roads.A very enjoyable few days away.

Great beach getaway

Our family really enjoyed our time here. We spent plenty of time at the beach which was a short walk away through the sand dunes but the house is so well-equipped and has wonderful home entertainment features that meant even if the weather is poor, there would be something to keep everyone of all ages entertained. Even though there is a building site next door at the moment, the builders were not there on Fri so we had a really peaceful weekend. Great shower pressure, comfortable beds and a few welcome extras in the fridge and pantry all helped make this a truly comfortable stay. Just a couple of things - a sun umbrella would be handy for the outdoor area and there is also no BBQ even though this is mentioned in the manual kept at the bach. Neither of these factors impacted on our stay though, we highly recommend this bach and Jess was a pleasure to deal with.

Meemorable.

I booked the batch with the idea that it was going to be a place for us to shower and rest our heads after a long day of riding dirt bikes and fishing. It is the perfect setting to get away and release the stress of the city life. Thank you for providing an incredible place for us to stay and i look forward to booking in the future.

It’s the best set up

I love this place had 4 grandkids with me and the weather was crap but they loved it. They played in the playroom. This place is lovely and clean and setup really well. It suits everyone all ages

Great Family Getaway

Well equipped beach Bach.

This by far was the best Bach we have stayed in at Waitarere, so very peaceful, spacious with a separate place for teenagers, all the mod cons and the wonderful supplies on arrival were most appreciated. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and we loved the waffle maker ( must get one) . The Bach is so very comfortable and the location was perfect.

Awesome bach near the beach

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this bach and we love it. Great place to stay with young kids, very safe and within walking distance to the beach. The bach is modern, clean and tidy with good sized rooms. Plus the garage acts as an awesome games room for teenagers. The owner is fantastic to deal with, great communication and so helpful. In addition, fresh, milk, bread, and some light snacks were provided as part of our stay, which was lovely. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Retreat

The property is new and well appointed, with the beds in particular being very comfortable. Located just two minutes from the beach, it is in a quiet area. It came complete with wifi, Sky TV and numerous entertainments for teenagers, allowing the adults to relax. We would happily stay there again.
