This one bedroom apartment on the 1st floor has an excellent downtown Austin location! It`s down the street from famous W 6th and a short walk to the Lady Bird Hike and Bike Trail, which loops around Lady Bird Lake downtown. Many bars and restaurants are a short walk or a super easy scoot to and it`s also very close to downtown with great access via ride share (or walking), which means you`re super close to everything. The apartment sleeps 4 people comfortably with 2 in the king bed and 2 on the comfy sleeper sofa. There is washer and dryer in the apartment.

Do not rent this place

This place is a total dump. Do not believe the favorable reviews of it. It was infested with ants, the HVAC was so loud you could not sleep, the garbage disposal was broken and had smelly old food in it, the dishware was dirty, and in general the place was filthy. We moved out after one night and demanded a refund. All messages sent to the host were responded to by an AI Bot. VRBO said we had to address the host. The host said we had to address VRBO. The host denied anything was wrong despite photos showing all the problems. The host is a liar. VRBO was pathetic. As a result of this, I have closed my account with VRBO and will never do business with it again.

Great Little Place

This property was perfect as a landing pad for us while we were at a Legislative event during the day. It's a little bit of a hike from the Capitol but not ridiculously far. The place was clean, instructions were clear, and we had zero issues. We would definitely stay there again!

About a 20min walk to everything from the middle of 6th Ave to Terry blacks BBQ. If you scooter everything is about 10-15min away

Austin Girls weekend!

Place was clean and perfect for what we needed. There were 4 of us girls coming for a weekend trip and it was in very close proximity to bars restaurants and coffee shops. Didn't spend much time in the apartment, but it was great as a home base!

I requested no air fresheners but there was a very strong febreze odor. I am sensitive to chemical odors and awoke at 2am with a migraine. I had to pack up and leave. Spoke with the owner who sympathized with me but offered no compensation.

Good not fabulous

My boyfriend and I are flight crew so we travel a lot and stay at a lot of Airbnb’s. Unfortunately that means we are always comparing to the added touches each one does. This Airbnb in particular didn’t really add any touches to their place. They had a manual, but that was it. It even said help yourself to beer or wine that may be leftover from previous guests, but there were none so that was kind of a let down, especially because we then left some. Before we got there we got a message that the a/c wasn’t functioning correctly, but they made it seem as though we’d be fine, and for the most part we were. It never got too hot in there, but it never cooled down enough to our liking, so I can’t really complain. I guess what set this apart the most was that we found a cockroach and some other insects (earwigs) the day we were leaving. Thankfully it was that day. I understand this is Texas and the land of critters but it was a little offsetting. I messaged the hosts a picture (to prove I wasn’t making it up) and a heads up on it, and they had nothing to say except thanks. Strange response to your guests finding a cockroach in your place, but I wasn’t going to get mad about that. I just wouldn’t stay there again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. The hosts were never rude nor non accommodating but again we use Airbnb’s a lot and this definitely didn’t stand out or set apart from others. Also, it was quite a ways from downtown, 3-4 miles. It was too hot to walk, and we used the scooters but that adds up quickly, in the future I’ll get something closer. The Airbnb listing made it seem closer than it actually was. Lastly, I’ve been noticing an uptick in Airbnb’s charging INSANE cleaning fees yet they send a message the last day saying what is expected of cleaning the unit before leaving. So what are we paying the cleaning fee for? And this Airbnb did just that. Nothing too ridiculous but asked us to start the dishwasher and have the place “as you found it” not cool

Great location in Austin!

It was a clean and nicely decorated space. The couch could’ve been a bit bigger but the bed was very comfy and had ample blankets. The temperature was easy to control and the ceiling fans were a nice touch. Dishwasher and washing machine were easy to use as well. Thank you for your convenience!
