Peaceful Getaway

Our stay was wonderful and the view was amazing. The place had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The proximity to the beach was a five minute walk and a ten minute walk to the harbor. You could enjoy the views of the ocean day and night and the accordion doors allows you to bring the outside in. After spending long days at the beach, we were able to enjoy a rinse in their amazing shower. Mike and Roberta were great hosts and super responsive.

Great Spot

We moved away from the Oceanside area so we were glad to come back for a vacation at a familiar, local place. Can't beat the views and the old-school beach bungalow style.

Perfect family beach holiday

This tropical beach home has everything you could need for a great beach vacation. Plenty of room for everyone of all ages to enjoy themselves.. a quick walk to the beach and stunning views for those that prefer to stay and enjoy a glass or two..

Lovely home with a great view

Lovely home with wonderful location. It was a quick last minute trip and this home worked out perfect. Walking distance from all local places and a fabulous view. Sunsets with cocktails were perfect.

Great Property

Beautiful location and wonderful home. Great view of the beach and a 3 minute walk to the sand. Just enough above to avoid the crowds of people walking by on the Strand the whole time. You can hear the ocean the whole time if you open the doors/windows. The deck and backyard are fantastic. I would rent this home again!

Great location and indoor/outdoor space

Overall had a superb stay and would definitely stay again. Pros: - Very short walk to the beach + beach accessories - Backyard putting greens - Deck and bifold doors for ocean breeze air - Lots within walking distance - Smooth process for logistics Cons: - Parking is pretty close, though have to daily renew the ticket. - Street facing rooms a bit noisy for street noise - Internet was good, though not stellar

Perfect!

This house has everything including a spectacular view! The accordion windows are a special touch. It is the perfect beach house, expertly decorated and very clean. We loved the miniature golf course ... didn't even notice that when we booked. The walk to the beach was even easier than I thought it would be ... given it is located on a hill. The owners are wonderful, and they were very eager to make sure we had a great stay. If there is a downside, it's the lack of parking, but that's not a reflection on the hosts. You have to get a new parking pass each day at 8am ... at least that's what the sign states. But we are early risers, so no problem there. I highly recommend this home!

We will be back for sure!

What a perfect place to stay when looking for a beach house in SoCal. The owners thought of everything. The pictures and description did a good job of describing the property, but they do not do it justice. You have to rent and stay there to really see how great it is. Literally see and hear the waves crashing on the beach, and feel the ocean breeze through the open back accordion door. Any future visits to SoCal will be planned around this house availability. If you're looking and still trying to decide, just book it. You won't regret it!

View is exceptional!

This home is very comfortable. Our host checked in at the beginning of our stay and offered easy access to reach him should we need anything. Kitchen well equipped. The opened wall of window/ doors onto the back patio is the real winner. Not highlighted in the pics is the cool two level mini golf “course” just below that patio area. The parking lot is just across from the property. The walk to the beach takes maybe 2 minutes! Nothing negative here!

Wonderful Location

Communications before, during, and after were excellent. Owner responded quickly with any questions or concerns. Home was a bit smaller than we anticipated based on the photos, but still a nice stay for our family. Outside space is what we enjoyed most. The huge sliding doors that opened onto the patio were wonderful, and many hours were spent out on the patio enjoying the view and the sound of the crashing waves. Kids loved playing on the putting course. Home was nicely equipped although some of the appliances, shower heads, etc. are showing their age. Parking at the city lot is a bit of a pain, but guess that just comes with the area and something we haven't had to deal with before. The lot is just a block away, and the owner reimburses for parking, so all in all not bad, just a hassle to purchase daily parking. A major plus is the 5 minute walk to the beach, and easy walking distance to the pier. Overall, a very nice stay. Would do it again.

Gorgeous Home & Property

This home sits up 1 street from the beach strand (which was great as there was quite a bit of cruising/walking happening on the strand -lack of privacy for those homes) It has breathtaking views (hear/see ocean - gorgeous sunsets & tropical palm trees). It has a tiered yard - top is the patio and then bottom two are lit up w/tropical plants AND miniature golf /putting green which makes for all around fun and entertainment. LOCATION: Fantastic as 1.5 min walk to the beach and 3 min walk to the harbor (lots of shops and restaurants) We were able to take a wonderful wine cruise in the harbor. Close to downtown pier and shops as well. House is clean with everything you need. The living space is open with plenty of seating/entertaining. The host was so friendly & responsive. Absolutely will rent this home again! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Wonderful Place to Stay in Oceanside

The descriptions, including photos accurately represent this house above the north end of Oceanside Beach. The property offers a sense of expansiveness with the sliding glass doors open from the main room onto a view over rooftops to the palm trees and ocean. While the house is physically small, its openness, patio and sliding doors, offer a feeling of space for even a family of 6 with 3 children, aged 6-11. The kitchen is very amply provided for with plenty of dishes, including a variety of them, along with abundant pots and pans. It was easy for us to cook during our multi-week stay. More than any other beach property we have used, there are plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, boards for riding the surf and even an umbrella. We left an additional board since the 7 year old needs a new, larger one. There are 2 air conditioners that perform very well. We rarely used them, as the cool summer temperatures made the house very comfortable. The children enjoyed the fire pit outside, and the adults cooked on the charcoal grill and read in the plentiful seating space on the patio. The description is clear about the absence of parking at the home. However, we found that there was ample city parking available nearly in front of the house, especially if we didn't move the car during the busy afternoons of Saturday and Sunday. The owners are very responsive and generous in their information about the house. I hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did.

Perfect Home for Our Getaway!

We rented this home for a "girls" getaway, we have been traveling together for 30 plus years many times to the San Diego area, specifically Oceanside on several occasions. This home was perfect for our gathering. It was comfortable and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The furnishings are lovely, bedrooms large, the chef's kitchen has everything we needed plus a large variety of coffee makers. The view was unbeatable over lush landscaping to the beach. We sat for hours watching dolphins play and surfers aplenty. The home is walking distance to the pier, Farmer's Market, many restaurants and the harbor area.The owner was especially responsive assuring anything we needed was available to us.We all agreed we would rent this home again and look forward to returning one day!

Beautiful Oceanside Beach Home

Beautiful home, wonderful views, 5 min walk to beach. We stayed during the Christmas holidays. We enjoy going to the beach in the winter. It's less crowded. Home had all the amenities. We like to cook and the kitchen supplied everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, too. All in all, a great little vacation.
