Fall Color Tour

Close to downtown. Within one hour drive of so many things. Hosts were great. check in process gave us great directions to find what might have been hard to otherwise. Only draw back was the lack of electrical outlets to charge devices in the bedroom. We had a great trip and just love the Frankfort/M-22 area of Michigan.

Nice minibreak in Frankfort

The property was just as advertised/depicted in the photos. Wil and Beth are very accommodating and helpful and shared some great recommendations of activities in and around Frankfort. The rental is convenient to downtown Frankfort and about a 10-15 minute walk from the Lake Michigan beach on a very quiet street with little traffic. The house worked well for our family of three, air conditioning was nice for some warmer evenings. There was plenty of space to store three bikes which was great.

Great little house with perfect location

My family ( 2 adults and 2 kids) very much enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. It was just what we needed and a great home base during our stay in Frankfort. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful too! We will definitely be staying here again!

lovely stay

We had a wonderful visit to Frankfort. This was our second trip to this little town and first stay at this property. It was clean and is in a great neighborhood. We enjoyed walks every morning to get our coffee and every evening to the beach to watch the sunset. The host were very kind and welcoming. The cottage was much smaller than anticipated. Could use some minor accommodation improvements such as new bath towels and linens. Overall, lovely visit.

Visiting Friends

Great location and friendly hosts! Exactly as pictured and described. We usually stay with friends who have a Summer home in Frankfort but their home was undergoing renovations and they couldn't host us. This small cottage was just what we needed; a bedroom, bathroom, & kitchen. Very clean and close to everything!

Our 4th year

This is the 4th year we've rented from Wil and Beth and the third time we've rented the Beach House. It's the perfect little place for our family of four since our boys are pretty young (3 & 6). The playground, shops, restaurants and beach are all a short walk away. The house is small, but perfect for a couple or family with little kids, especially if you spend most of your time out exploring. The property is always clean, the owners are pleasant and responsive, and so we keep coming back here every summer!

Not as advertised

Wil was a gracious host and was very responsive to our needs, which was terrific. The cottage is in a great location and the surrounding area is very quiet. Unfortunately, the photos and descriptions of the interior were not very accurate, which is the cause for our low rating. Overall, the cottage needs a major makeover inside. Ceiling tiles are very old and one rubs against a cabinet, which causes flakes to come off the tile and into your hair or face. The carpeting throughout might be clean but the shag is so long and it is so outdated that it does not give one the sense of cleanliness. Lots of uneven edges of cabinets connecting to walls connecting to countertops, and fresh paint would help a lot too. While the Apple TV was nice, the reception was often spotty and I do not understand why a simple cable/internet hook up has not been done. The bathroom is incredibly tight (the toilet, sink and shower areas) and people over 5'10" and 200 lbs (I am 6' 3" and 225 lbs) will struggle to use the fixtures. Folks should definitely be warned about that as had we known, we likely would have looked for another place to stay.

Comfortable and quiet

This is the perfect property if you like to be near action yet want a quiet location. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The owners are available to answer questions. Within walking distance to stores, restaurants and the Lake Michigan beach. We enjoyed our stay and added this place to our favorites list.

Wonderful week

We had a lovely time at the Beach House. Everything you need is there, and the Apple TV with Netflix was such a great add! This was our second stay and it was as lovely as the first. The owners are so friendly and the rental was very clean and we felt secure with our stay there during the pandemic.

Cozy Cottage

The location is perfect. Shopping, dining and beach are all within walking distance. Cottage is exceptionally clean and hosts are very friendly. Would definitely recommend this property!

Loved The Beach House!

We loved our stay at The Beach House in Frankfort! The cottage was adorable and well equipped. The location was perfect - in a quiet little neighborhood steps away from Main St. and the beach. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and ready to help or answer questions. We would certainly stay here again! 😍

Nice Little Cottage in a Nice Little Town

Great 2nd Location for Extended Family

We rented two units from Wil and Beth for the same week. This particular unit was rented for a parent/grandparent that traveled with us. It worked out very well. It was the right size and right location! As with the other property, Wil and Beth were very easy to work with. The property was clean, well-maintained and just right for what we needed.

Great little cottage

Perfect location to enjoy all that Frankfort and Sleeping Bear has to offer. Short walk to Lake Michigan beach. Beautiful sunsets! Close to bike and hiking trails. Great kayaking - get on the water early to see wildlife. Cottage was bright, cheery and very clean! Kitchen well stocked and outside a new gas grill was available. We cooked in several nights and found many great restaurants just a short walk away. Hosts Will & Beth were very welcoming and friendly! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent!

This property is close to the main street in Frankfort as well as the beach. We walked everywhere in town. The owners thought of everything so if you didn’t pack it, don’t worry. It’s probably in there! Northern Michigan is beautiful and Frankfort is an awesome little town. Check it out if you’ve never been.

It was always our dream to live on the shores of Lake Michigan after we spend the last 10 years sailing on a lake in Wisconsin. Frankfort offers everything we like, i.e. farmer's markets, sustainable living, biking, paddling, and skiing (opportunities to be active outdoors all year around) as well as cultural events in and around town. Growing up close to Frankfurt, Germany, I always wanted to visit Frankfort, Michigan.

Varför värden valde detta boende

For the last twenty years we have spent our summer vacations on Lake Michigan. This year we visited Frankfort for the first time and fell in love with the city and area. We know that we have found the perfect location and we can imagine spending the rest of our lives in this area.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Tucked away in a quiet location and still in the middle of it all. Forget the car and walk to the beach, harbor, stores, shops and restaurants or take a bike ride along the beautiful Betsie Valley Bike Trail. The large fenced-in your will be the perfect playground for our future grandchildren. We also enjoy hiking along Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore or canoeing on the Platte River, both only 15 minutes away.
