After your day on the mountain hiking-skiing-mountain biking-zip lining, come unwind in the sauna or enjoy the evening sun on the deck over looking the rolling hills of Strathcona Park.
This modern home has 2 single car garages, a living area, family room, laundry room, and 4 showers ensuring noone has to wait their turn.
Full kitchen and large dining room ensures there is room to eat at the dining table or eat up at the kitchen bar, there is ample space for everyone to stretch out and enjoy your time on the hill!
There is a Living Room and a Family Room that is set up with comfy couches and smart tvs ready for you to relax and enjoy a movie or catch up on the evening news. There is basic cable, Netflix and Prime TV available.
BBQ available out on the deck to provide choices for dinner!
A quick drive (3 mins) to the bottom of the Hawk Chair, where there is day parking, lift purchases, bathroom and a chair lift to get you where you need to go no matter what the season!

Big place, great for friends and family

This place is a great size for multiple families and we enjoyed the stay. The driveway is on a 45 degree angle which made it difficult to get in and out of vehicles with little ones in the slushy snow. It has beautiful views and was a quick drive to the ski hill.

Beautiful chalet on a very steep driveway

Chalet was as advertised with a well stocked kitchen, lovely views, comfortable beds, 2 enormous tvs. Our only issue was with the driveway. The pictures online show a perfectly cleared driveway however this was not the case when we arrived. A bobcat came by and removed most of the snow but we were left with a sheet of ice. No salt or sand in the garage. Was kind

Family wedding on the mountain

This chalet on the mountain was the perfect place for our family of 6! Spacious, clean, and well stocked with beautiful views.

Very little privacy

We were shocked to discover that 2 of the bedrooms didn't have doors! This made it uncomfortable for my guests. The coffee pots still had old coffee filters with used coffee and not cleaned. The b'que is filthy. The driveway is so steep it was a hazard as our cars slid in the snow. We had trouble both getting in and out of it.

This property was perfect for our family vacation! We had 10 people and there was more than enough room. Everyone was very comfortable ! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bbq came in handy too. Location was so peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend to any large group!

Magical Christmas Stay

This chalet is great for a magical family stay. Lots of bedrooms, lots of bathrooms and a great room with a gorgeous view. Property manager ironed out the wrinkles and we had a fabulous stay. If you are a large family I highly recommend this property.

bad driveway

We were up with all our kids (25/-) , so the place had lots off room which was nice, however the heaters in the living room weren't working and the place has insufficient heat as a whole. bedrooms were fine, but the main salon was cold. the fireplace was on the whole time and we still couldn't get it warm, it was a crappy electric one. It was cold and it snowedWe immediately needed to manage the driveway. The welcome book says the driveway is heated, it it NOT. We were actually worried about sliding down the driveway in vehicles and hitting the opposite barrier. Several people fell on the driveway. We immediately ran out of the small amount of salt provided and got more from a neighbour... and managed to get our vehicles sorted. What a nightmare, I have a F150 4-wheel drive, and it was unable to operate on the driveway, its very steep. Both snow shovels were broken.The garages were filthy and stuffed with crap from the owner I assume. The kitchen and space were large and lots of space, but the kitchen is under equipped. in Mount Washington there is nothing, so we had no tin foil or plastic wrap for cooking, and the microwave has days before its doesn't work, the LCD screen is broken, so you have no idea what you are doing with it.... This is great place for bunch of teenagers to drink the weekend away, but I would not stay here again. More of a frat house, that you can't get into if it's snowing. There is no ski in / ski out... so you need the vehicle for everything.

Family Reunion

The house was a perfect fit for our family reunion. The Strathcona Provincial Park provided wonderful hiking trails and swimming in the beautiful lakes. We also enjoyed salmon fishing and kayaking in Courtenay.

Christmas 2022

The property was beautiful and perfectly suited our needs. With a bathroom in every bedroom and lots of space to spread out and relax! Huge kitchen and we eally enjoyed the sauna too! Covered parking garage was also a unique feature! Will come again!

Wonderful space for family gathering

The house was perfect for our family gathering of nine. Good sleeping spaces and lots of bathrooms. We made full use of the very well stocked kitchen, large barbecue (with very good barbecue tools). Nice living room space with fireplace for gathering and board games. Also family room upstairs used by teens occasionally wanting their own space. This house suited us to a tee!

Beautiful Chalet on Mount Washington

Our family had a fantastic stay at Sari’s chalet on Mount Washington. The design of the chalet is well thought out with ample room for multiple couples and children to have dedicated sleeping space and each room having its own private bathroom. The chalet was outfitted with everything you would need in terms of kitchen supplies and cookware and even a few nice extras - coffee, coffee filters, paper towels etc. Sari was extremely responsive to the questions we had before and during our stay and made us feel welcome during our stay. The heated driveway and sauna are a couple of other top notch touches you don’t always find at a ski chalet and both came in handy! Would definitely stay here again!

Golf tour at the ski resort.

Everything was perfect, but location. When I try to booking the propertie, web page shows on the map in Comox area. I trusted the information than booked. They didn't show me exact location or address until I made a full payment which is a week before we leave, and can't get full refund. When they released exate location, the address shown at Washington Ski resort area which is 30 min away from the Comox. Somehow, address in the ski resort was very similar to the Comox area, that I serpost to stay. I had to go anyway, but I felt I was fooked for fake information.

The location and the floor plan layout and finishes of this chalet is beautiful. The condition of the home when we checked in: Food on the Living room floor wasn’t swept. Dirty dishes and utensils, baking sheet covered with oil. Dryer with massive load of smelly towels that we later found out the dryer doesn’t work properly. Garbage from previous guest was left sitting by the washing machine. I emailed the host but they didn’t respond. It’s a shame to see a great property being mismanaged.

Great Getaway

Sari was a prompt communicator and excellent host. She walked me through all the details as this was the first time I had used VRBO. The chalet was gorgeous and we had a great time. We are a group of friends who were going to a wedding in the valley and we rented a bus to take us back and forth to the various events. It was a perfect getaway with incredible views!
