Great get away

17 of us headed for a Christmas get a way and we all had a fab time. The house was perfect, lots of space and different areas and lots of land around. Very close to the wineries too! Thanks for hosting us David!

Excellent stay!

We had a wonderful weekend away at Lovedale Lodge, enjoying a concert at Bimbadgedn Winery. The accommodation was so clean and everything was there that we needed. David looked after us and nothing was a problem. This is an awesome place for a large group and we will definitely be back again. It was already my second visit. I’ll be back for a third! Thanks again, David.

Family getaway for people aged 14-83!

We all had a wonderful week at Lovedale. There was enough space for us all to have our own space. We had busy teenagers, uni students who had to study and octogenarians who had to nap and all were able to do what we had to do! Thanks Faya. We will be back. Ilona.

Perfect for large groups

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lovedale Lodge. The property was very spacious, and our group of 18 adults had plenty of room. The new renovations added a lovely touch to the place. The large living and dining areas , as well as the abundance of cutlery, plates and utensils were ideal for the group. Would definitely recommend staying here, Faya is a lovely host who was very accommodating.

The stay of a lifetime

The property is unbelievable - seriously couldn’t recommend a better property for a large group. There are 3x quarters within the house and so much room for large groups to congregate together or go off for their own space. We stayed for my 30th birthday with a group of 24 people and never once felt overwhelmed with the amount of guests all in one place as it’s so spacious. We stayed in winter but the fire pit ensured we could still say outside, sit around the fire and enjoy the outdoors. It would be amazing too in the summer, as the pool looked great! The property itself is huge and there is so much grass room for activities. Faya (the host) is without a doubt the most accomodating and friendly host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He accommodated every request we had and any questions were answered promptly. Nothing was too hard for Faya and to put it simply, he is just a legend. Overall the weekend away at the property for my 30th was one of the best of my life - we all had so, so much fun. I truly cannot recommend it enough for large groups - if you are staying in the Hunter with a massive bunch of friends and family there is simply nowhere better to stay.

Amazing place- Great location

Amazing place, has all you need to cater for a larger group. Amazing rooms, beds, couches , kitchens cant fault it. Faya has added a great touch to the place. Great location close to wineries but the property is bigger enough you feel in the middle of the bush. Have stayed 4 times and would stay again.

30th birthday weekend away

The property was excellent all of the guests loved it and commented on how great it was. Beds where comfy, house was clean all the amenities you could need. Perfect spot to visit all the local attractions as its not to far out of town. Perfect for a large group.

Great Enjoyable Stay!

David (the owner) takes pains in looking after the property personally. He would have a much better property if he could organize wifi at the property. Overall the property is good for a family and friends group as there is a lot of place for outdoor activity and swimming in the pool.

We stayed here to Celeste my sisters birthday

The property was fantastic. There was so many different spaces to sit and relax. The beds were comfy. The rooms were all clean and spacious. The pool was fabulous. I would highly recommend David place to anyone visiting the Hunter. We will definitely come back again

Winederful and relaxing weekend getaway (18-20th Dec 2020)

Thank you David... My friends (group of 18) and I enjoyed our stay and will treasure our first CHRISTmas getaway. So nice to have the whole 3 villa for ourselves. Love the salt water pool too 😉😏😁 Highly recommended if u want peace and quiet away from everything. Definitely we'll be back!

Faya är värd

Faya works with the United Nations and Anisa is an artist. We wanted to buy a home in nature that we could share with others when we are away. So we bought Lovedale Lodge which allows us to bask in the rural tranquility of the Hunter Valley.

Varför värden valde detta boende

When we decided to leave Sydney, we considered various options. After much consideration, we decided on the Hunter Valley because it is full of interesting things to do but still close enough to Sydney that we can stay in touch with our friends.
After inspecting a number of properties, Lovedale Lodge was the one which suited us the best. It was chock full of potential. We have done a ton of work upgrading the property and it has been a thrilling project to date. I don't think we will ever be finished - we just keep thinking of more cool things to do with it.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

I guess the thing that really defines Lovedale Lodge is Carradano Cottage. The original Lovedale Lodge is a charming European yurt-style traditional cottage. It has a superb octagonal shaped interior, and a high vaulted timber ceiling, giving Carradano Cottage its unique ambience. We are not aware of anything else like this in the whole of the Hunter Valley.
