Home away from home

We had an extremely enjoyable stay. The house was very well appointed, clean and organized. There was a welcome board and refreshment basket awaiting us when we arrived. The fenced in backyard was great for our kids! Beds were comfortable, location was great, and we plan on returning. It really felt like a home away from home. Thank you so much! 😊

Perfect Beach Getaway

We loved our stay at the Koi House! The location was perfect, just a short drive to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Your home is beautiful and was just right for our group of 8! We enjoyed eating a couple of meals in, playing cards, and just relaxing after our days at the beach. We hope to return soon!

This house has everything you need to enjoy your stay!! It’s a beautiful house, the beds are comfortable, the kids enjoyed their room, and the owner was easily accessible if we needed her! You won’t regret staying here for your vacation!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The Koi House was the perfect stay for our bachelorette weekend! Walkable to the beach & boardwalk, plenty of sleeping space, great parking. The house has the cutest aesthetic, we all loved the deck and outdoor surfboard shower. Note; the air outside is THICK with flies/mosquitos (unavoidable in coastal NC) so be sure to pack bug spray.

Coastal Hideway is a GEM

This was our second stay at the Koi House and it was wonderful! We love the location. A half mile walk to restaurants and the boardwalk AND the quiet neighborhood. Our pups love the fenced in yard (peace of mind for us!). The house itself is well appointed, very clean AND comfortable...we feel at home as soon as we arrive. The back deck is perfect for morning coffee and quiet time. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

This house was perfect for our stay, plenty of room, the beds and linens were perfect and it’s a great location. My favorite part of this house was how CLEAN it was when we arrived, I did not have to clean ANYTHING prior to starting my vacation with my family. ❤️

Peaceful getaway

This place is very welcoming as soon as you walk in the front door it screams welcome home. It's in a very quiet neighborhood which is great if you want to escape the daily Hussle and bussle. The neighbors are very nice and friendly there kids are very respectful they love shooting hoops in there driveway I think it's great. I would definitely book this place again in the future.

Charming fully loaded house with all the amenities you could want about 7 blocks from middle of Carolina Beach at Boa swallows. Little bit of a walk in the heat with chairs, towels etc. Bit well worth it.

We completely enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this place for families !

Only complaints involve the BBQ being uncleaned. The oven also needed to be cleaned. There was also a lot of dog hair under the furniture which we cleaned because our grandkids are toddlers. All in all a good place though.

Comfortable Stay

The Koi house is very well kept and is perfect if you are bringing your pet and/or children. Yard space for pets is plenty - we have a 65lb dog and were able to play in the yard. The bedrooms worked well for our teenagers. The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors out for walks were friendly. The house is very close to the main sidewalk path which heads straight down to the boardwalk/beach. It is also a very quick drive to the grocery store. If you prefer to cook your meals as we did, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, containers, silverware, and many other supplies you would find at your home - that was a nice suprise.

Great Place

This place is a really nice place to stay. It's not far at all away from the beach. This home gives you a welcome home feeling as soon as you walk in the front door. The backyard is totally fenced in which is great for pets. Our beds were very comfortable and the couch was the same way. Most of the deck at different times of the day is shaded which is also great. I will definitely rent this place again and recommend it to anyone else who is going to Carolina Beach or Wilmington. The house isn't far from Wilmington and downtown around the waterfront you can see the USS North Carolina from there which is beautiful. I rented a golf cart for the week which was great to get around in. The only problem I had with the golf cart was there wasn't many parking spaces for rentals most of the ones I saw had license plates.

Buggy at the beach

It would have been ok except for the communication with the company that handles the rentals.They where not on top of my questions about some of this properties beach equipment. We realize where this property was located and the fact that there are a lot of bugs in North Carolina,but they could spray this property for cockroaches which I find deplorable. On the counters at night and in the cupboards. I had a problem with the Wi-Fi connection and the tv, the woman who came over immediately did her best with the spectrum service and helped me connect to the Wi-Fi service since there are two different accounts to this address. My husband loves his tv at night and made the best of it.this house could use a good cleaning it’s staged well though.

The Koi House was great!

The Koi House was clean, spacious, and private. Good space for the price. The dog loved the fenced in yard and the kids loved the bunk beds! The patio is nice and spacious however the bugs are really bad. The pond in the yard attracts lots of mosquitos and we all got covered in bites during our stay. Even with bug candles, bug spray, and bug traps we still couldn’t keep the bugs away. There were plenty of linens in the house which was really convenient including towels, sheets, and blankets. However, the kitchen was not very well stocked. There were not enough utensils, pots, pans, measuring cups, bowls, and other kitchen items needed to make meals with ease. We struggled with cooking a couple meals and had to purchase a few kitchen items for our stay. This wasn’t a huge deal just inconvenient. The beach access is a couple blocks away and too far to walk to with all the kids but it was worth it for all of the space we had at the house. Overall it was a wonderful stay and the perfect beach house for a family vacation!

My stay at Coastal Hideaway

Amazing

The house was definitely home away from home. Our family had an amazing time. We would definitely stay again! The beach was a short walk with amazing sunrises. The house had everything you needed!
