A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated showerâmaking it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.
Guest Access:

Rivers Edge Cabin by Tiny Away is located on Bowman River Road, only an hour drive from Newcastle and just 17 minutes from the town of Gloucester. There, you'll find essentials like Woolworths supermarket, local favorites such as Roadies CafĂ©, and beautiful parks that are best explored on footâlike Billabong Park, Gloucester Aboriginal Park, and the scenic Bucketts Walk.
For day trips, just an hourâs drive will take you to Barrington Tops, where you can hike through ancient forests, kayak along the Barrington River, discover stunning campsites, browse local markets, and visit charming cellar doors.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 3.5 hrs drive from Sydney CBD to Gloucester
- 7 hrs drive from Brisbane CBD to Gloucester
- 11.5 hrs drive from Melbourne CBD to Gloucester
By public transport: The best way to get to Gloucester is by private car or bus.
Other Things to Note:
- No smoking allowed onsite
- Not suitable for children under 12 years old
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No mobile reception. Reception available 5 mins away by car.
- Composting bins are available for guests to dispose of trash properly
- Restricted access is only limited to the "Big House" and farm equipment
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Safety guidelines
- Please bring SPF 50 sunscreen to prevent sunburns
- BBQ grills and outdoor firepits are subject to RFS fire restrictions
- Glass is not to be taken outside the perimeter of your tiny house
- Guests should be aware of steep descents, rocky areas, and local wildlife habitats in the bushland.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
