The cabin was a perfect place for my partner and I to get away from the city to relax and reconnect. The mountain air, great weather, and clear skies full of stars were just what we needed. We happened to be child free for the first weekend in years, so the kids weren't with us. We would have felt very comfortable with them here and running around freely though. There were also some games and books they would have enjoyed. The cabin is just off the highway, so conveniently located/easy to find, but you do hear the occasional vehicle passing by or neighbor pulling into their drive. No houses or vehicles were visible, accepting the occasional set of headlights on the highway at night. The cabin was extremely well stocked with kitchen cookware, some spices, a coffee maker for those like us who enjoy fresh beans and a Keurig for those who prefer convenience. The gas grill was great for cooking up burgers and fresh veggies we brought from our garden. The fire pit was great for staying cozy with a drink and enjoying the night skies. I saw the clearest shooting star, and its eventual breakdown into smaller pieces as it met its demise that I have ever seen.We tried to disconnect as much as possible but the wifi was nice for finding hiking trails and keeping up with updates here and there as needed. We had great communication from the owners on how to get in/check out. Would definitely recommend a stay for those wanting to get away in a quiet rural area without "roughing" it!
