Great Cheat River Getaway!!

Stay was excellent and property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Wildlife was abundant on the property. We caught well over 100 fish in just a couple days. We will definitely be back when the river is hopefully a little lower. Excited to return. House and porch were in great shape and the furnishings were excellent.

Amazing Cabin and Wonderful Hosts

The place was just perfect! Right next to a peaceful river, we saw Deer on the property and very close to the falls and other lakes to see. Caught about 12 small fish in the river in a short amount of time on worms. The cabin was fully equipped, all we had to do is buy the food (which is about 15 minutes away). We will definitely be going back!

We loved everything about this cabin. The owners are so nice and are also on the property. The house has everything you would need and as well stocked. Our favorite part was the screened in porch facing the river. It does not get any better than that.

Wonderful relaxing Vacation

If you are looking for a riverfront view from a large screened in porch with wildlife and bird songs you will love this place. The cabin is so cute, beds and furniture are comfortable. Well water is so good you can use it for your coffee. No pets so you don’t have to worry about fleas. Canoes and fire pit go with the property and the owners are on site and very helpful. But do bring plenty of bug spray for all the flying pests along a river. Did I mention how great the screened in porch was…😁

Return trip!

This is our second year coming to this magical place and it continues to be our favorite family vacation spot. We love the cabin which provides everything you need while being pleasantly away from everything. We love the River, whether enjoying it from the wonderful screened-in patio, floating on a tube or paddling in a canoe. Watching the amazing wildlife, we were thrilled to see a new fawn hanging around again this year as well as watch a buck cross the River. And you can’t beat Deb and Curt’s hospitality, they are two truly great people!Parsons is a great little town. The diner has killer breakfasts. The farm stand on Thursdays is a great spot to pick up super fresh vegetables for a reasonable price while shopping local. And if you have kids and you just aren’t feeling the River, the splash pad in town is quite the hit!We wait all year for this vacation and it never disappoints except for the fact that it eventually has to end. We will be back again!

Wonderful!

Cabin was outstanding! Clean, and all the amenities needed. River front with fire pit, fishing and a canoe. River was a little shallow for the canoe but we had fun!

Relaxing by the river. Peaceful and amazing. Great cabin! My husband and I and grand dog loved the weekend. We have visited many places in West Virginia but this cabin and property were the brst.

Fantastic

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was everything we wanted/needed, and clearly cared for. We immediately felt at home, not like some properties that are sparsely appointed with cast-offs. The river was gorgeous and relaxing. The hosts were top notch. We are already planning our return visit.

Spectacular location. Clean, comfortable, private, well appointed cabin. Feels like you left the world behind, but you're less than 10 miles from a sizable town. Outstanding, will be back.

RELAXING

From the time we pulled into the drive it was nothing but spectacular. The home owners were the best hosts you could ask for. The cabin had everything you need and more. We enjoyed the outside fire pit next to a magnificent river. If you need to wind down and reboot this is the place to stay. Hope to return one day.

Almost heaven!

This property was perfect. Very clean and well stocked. Great location on the Cheat River which was amazing. Perfect view from the front porch. No cell service or internet which was exactly what we needed. Only a few minutes to town if you need to connect. Owners live close by if you need anything. Even our dog was welcomed.

I would live there if possible!

I felt like I was just at home. Loved being on the river!!! Was always on the porch minus sleeping or outdoor fun. So many little details provided including live house plants. The owners are wonderful!! I will be back for sure!! Didn’t want to return home.

No internet, cell, or Cable "No Problem"🙂

We arrived to a spotless place, located on a beautiful well maintained property. There's never a need to leave, the sound of the River is peaceful. With all kinds of wildlife around its the perfect place to get away from the everyday rat race we have come accustomed to. We will book again in the fall. What a great time.

Perfect place to unplug

Where are you go to re-center

My husband and I visited this property for his 60th birthday getaway. We both wanted somewhere to unwind, unplug and be surrounded by beautiful nature. This place absolutely served that purpose and more. The hosts are incredible… Warm, hospitable, funny, helpful people… The location is beyond perfect…accommodations were spot on… Nothing was left to be needed. If keeping in touch with the real world is necessary, the Wi-Fi never failed and the signal was great within the property. I highly recommend this property if you are wanting to be in the middle of beauty, shed the stress of life and have some meaningful time with either just yourself or with people you love. We will absolutely return.

even better this time!!!!

We were here for the first time in May this year and decided to come back in the fall. It's hard to explain to someone how a simple cabin on a great river can be so rewarding and refreshing. Whether you fish, canoe , or just sit and read a book this charming cabin is the place.

Perfection!

We loved every moment of our stay! It was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for when it came to privacy and watching all the wildlife. The listing was very accurate on the description, etc. and we were beyond pleased with our little getaway! We really enjoyed sitting out by the firepit each evening and the screened porch was perfect to sit out and enjoy our morning coffee as we watched alot of deer crossing the river as they wandered through each morning and evening. If we ever manage to make another trip to the area, we will definitey be checking to see if this beautiful place is available for our stay!
