Welcome to Sunset Central Coast! With contemporary appeal and easy-flow open-plan layout, this is a home built to complement its position. Sun-kissed living spaces, polished timber floors and 2-storey design give it texture and character. With its magnetic pull, the pristine water views will draw you in with the realisation that this absolute waterfront playground is yours, to fish off your jetty, park your boat, or maybe just to sit, relax and unwind.

Features five spacious bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas and enormous deck. Nearly every room in the house drinks in the direct water views. Fully equipped kitchen with appliances + kitchen necessities/basics.

This home is perfect for one or two families. A small dog is welcome, however please note that the property is not fenced.

"Sunset" sits on a level direct waterfront parcel of land between Newcastle and Sydney. Included with your holiday is beds for ten guests, Plasma TV and DVD player, fetch Box, BBQ, foosball table, pool table, ceiling fans in all rooms and huge private decks abound.

Launch your boat or Jet Ski from the boat ramp at the end of the street and moor it out the front of the house on your Jetty shared with the neighbour. Our waterfront property offers direct access to the water, making it a haven for boating enthusiasts. You can set sail and explore the coastal wonders at your leisure. 3 adults kayaks with life jackets, are provided for your enjoyment, however these are used at your own risk.

Shopping centres are a short drive as are restaurants and clubs. Beautiful beaches and national parks are within 10 minutes.

We have a strict no party or events policy. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, so any type of events such as hens/bucks/schoolies/end of season sporting groups/birthday party celebration are not allowed. If you are unsure if your group falls into any of these categories please enquire before booking. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges, bond forfeited and/or eviction will apply.

Our stay at Sunset Central coast was wonderful. Accommodation & ammenities were excellent.

Relaxing family catch-up was had by all. Would highly recommend a stay to anyone. Loved the artwork throughout the house.

Another amazing stay

We throughly enjoyed our stay for a 5th year in a row. It’s a magical place to enjoy time with family and unwind. You feel relaxed from the minute you walk through the door. With endless water activities for the thrill seekers or sit back a read a book with one of the best views in lake Macquarie. We’ll be back again next year.

Holiday Bliss

We had a fantastic holiday, the location on the lake was superb as was the accommodation, the communication with Kaitlyn was really good. Only downfall is lack of shade on rear deck from the afternoon sun. Will definitely return.

Relaxing

We had a lovely weekend, the location was very picturesque and relaxing. We loved the Pool table and scenery from the decking was amazing. The ducks made us feel very welcome :)

Perfect setting for a family escape

We stayed at sunset central Coast for a 4th year in a row. With some new upgrades it’s provides more creature comforts that makes this place a perfect family escape. We enjoyed 10 days at this spectacular home and didn’t want to leave. It has everything you need to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and with it’s own jetty, enjoy all the water sports. We’ll be back again next year!

Perfect break for 2 families

Such a beautiful location by the lake for a relaxing weekend with friends. The kayaks, pool table and table football were all a hit ... as was the discovery of the bioluminescent algae! So pretty! The sunsets were absolutely beautiful. Everything we needed for cooking was available. We all voted we would love to return to Sunset soon! PS; Worth noting that there is a house under construction next door but thankfully the builders took a break over the long weekend.

Enjoyable weekend with family

We had a great experience over the weekend with family at the holiday home. Kaitlyn accommodated is well even offering us a nearby location/late check out to make up for delays in property cleaning. However, we arrived on time and the cleaners were gone and Kaitlyn still honoured the late check out. Definitely happy to stay again - possibly when the weather is filled with a little more sunshine. But overall awesome weekend.

Beautiful lake front home

We all enjoyed spending time in this beautiful house on the lake. The house is spacious, comfortable and has been newly renovated cosmetically. Great activities for the family including fishing on the private jetty, water play in the lake for the kids and kayaking. Few things to take note of: the listing mentions a “clothes dryer” but there isn’t one which makes it quite hard to do laundry given the wet weather we’ve been experiencing. It’s a pet friendly home, however, note that there isn’t a side fence so pets are able to run out to the front from the backyard.

Photos of property need to be updated

We were a little disappointed when entering this property. The outdoor cinema looked nothing like the pictures it was a bit run down . We took our dog with us and there were no fences . I expected the lake to not be fenced but there was nothing on either side of the house to the road and nothing stopping the dog from running away at the lake side . The facilities were good but for the price expected a bit more.

Lovely, but tired & overpriced

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset. The house layout and location on the lakefront was perfect for our adult family holiday. We enjoyed relaxing on the back deck (even on rainy days) and swimming and kayaking in the lake. However, the photos in the listing are dated and no longer accurate. The house does not have the same high quality finish depicted and hence was overpriced. For the price we paid, we would have expected: the front entry to not to flaking and covered in spiderwebs (despite a cobweb cleaner in the garage); the BBQ surface to not be rusty; the outdoor cinema to not be rusted and torn beyond use (yes, there was a new standalone screen under the stairs, but the 'cinema' should *not* be a top point in the listing); the blinds to not have mould stains; the outdoor furniture to not be torn; the billiard table to not be old and battered; the living room lights to not temperamentally flicker; various bulbs to not be blown; to not have to switch the single HDMI cable from the Foxtel box to the BluRay player and back again; the dining room table to not be strangely sticky and grubby at the edges; amongst other minor things. We have stayed in comparable houses over the summer holidays for many years and for the price we paid were rather disappointed. The house and location are great, but it clearly needs some TLC and some accurate photos, which with a reduced price would have not given us such a rude surprise.

GREAT GROUP HOUSE

I looked at this property when researching for an intimate group house for my partners 40th (damn COVID prevented that last year) that accommodated 4 couples (most houses have single beds and minimal bathrooms). This house did just that - 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, perfect for large groups of people with adequate privacy. There was adequate space for us all. There was only heating in the main area and the master bedroom, and it was a freezing weekend so it was quite cold in the other rooms. It would also have been nice to have some form of heating on the verandah so we could enjoy sitting outside, we did take our own fire pit but it was so cold and windy, we didn't really get to enjoy that. Being such a large house accommodating people usually there to enjoy eating etc. it would have been nice to have more Tupperware to store food or even glad wrap at a minimum to cover food. We had so much food that we were unable to keep covered which spoiled it over a couple of days, there was probably 3 containers that actually had lids and lots of random bits and pieces - would recommend spending some time there sorting through it all. Lots of platters but no cheese knives. The pantry was suppose to be stocked with minimal supplies, pepper being one of them, however there was none. There were only 2 tea towels and we had to bring our own towels. We travel a lot and stay in a lot of high end places, I just felt that as amazing as the space was, it is a little lacking in attention to detail and a little outdated compared to other places I have stayed with similar value. Don't get me wrong, we will definitely return and hope that this is taken as constructive feedback. The view was great, the space was fantastic and it was a great weekend spent with friends mostly inside due to how cold it was on the June long weekend.

Awesome stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful accommodation for a 4 day weekend getaway, and it exceeded all expectations. The place was impeccably clean, the beds were incredibly comfy, and the interior was simply beautiful. With its five spacious bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and three bathrooms, it provided ample space and convenience for our group of 5 ladies. It was so peaceful being right on the river, sitting in the afternoon on the balcony watching the sun go down with a few nibbles and drinks, amazing. Loved how the ducks would come up in the morning and afternoon to say hi too. I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend Kaitlyn, our booking agent, very helpful and efficient. Would love to return one day.
