SUMMARY
Originally constructed in the 1930’s, Dancing Hare has been completely remodeled and redecorated with a unique and beautiful blend of traditional Southwestern and South African decor. This combination of bright colors and earthy tones is sure to leave an impression. A two-minute drive from Bishop’s Lodge’s restaurant, bar, and stables, this location provides ample convenience while preserving Tesuque’s unique atmosphere and natural beauty. Not to mention, the city of Santa Fe is a quick fifteen-minute drive South.

LIVING AREA
The living area is colorful and inspiring, and is the centerpiece of the home’s aesthetic identity. The decorative fireplace is adorned with candles, and provided additional ambiance.

KITCHEN, AND DINING
The fully-equipped kitchen is impeccably remodeled with stainless steel appliances and a farmhouse sink. A custom-carved wooden bar in the kitchen offers seating for four.

BED AND BATH
Both bedrooms feature king beds, and the primary bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and an additional decorative kiva fireplace.

OUTDOOR SPACE
Dancing Hare has a private back patio and balcony that will allow you to enjoy New Mexico’s famous weather in quiet bliss! The home is located in a historic compound in Tesuque right off of Bishop’s Lodge Road. The compound sports 2.4 acres of land crossing the Little Tesuque Creek.

LOCATION
A two-minute drive from Bishop’s Lodge’s restaurant, bar, and stables, this location provides ample convenience while preserving Tesuque’s unique atmosphere and natural beauty. Not to mention, the city of Santa Fe is a quick fifteen-minute drive South.

Absolutely perfect!

We came to Santa Fe for a wedding being held at Bishop’s Lodge. This property was just a short drive away from the wedding venue, which was perfect. We were easily able to travel into the downtown Santa Fe area. The house was clean and fit all our needs for the weekend. The property manager(s) were easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

A Gem – Minutes From the Plaza!

My wife and I stayed at Dancing Hare for eight nights and we can’t wait to return! The words that immediately jump out upon arriving at Dancing Hare are “attractive”, “charming” and “delightfully appointed”. The 900-square feet of very pleasant and comfortable living space has clearly been recently renovated in the appealing southwest-themed style with many thoughtful personal touches. The casita was clean and inviting. There is off the street parking that is safe and secure and the road noise is minimal. We found the bedrooms spacious and well suited to our needs. The bed was very comfortable. Access to downtown Santa Fe is a straight shot down Bishop’s Lodge Road – in minutes you’re in the Plaza. It’s just minutes to shops, restaurants and museums. Into Santa Fe to enjoy the hustle and bustle of an active artist’s community, then back to the quiet of the casita to regroup and refresh – perfect! Two things to mention – these are NOT complaints, rather proactive guidance. The one bathroom at Dancing Hare is small. For an adult couple, no problem. But for four adults staying at this casita, it might require some bathroom scheduling. As pictured online, the staircase to the bedrooms is spiral, steep and narrow. For able-bodied adults and children, no problem. However, for persons with even minor disabilities, this rental is probably not for you. All in all, Dancing Hare is well deserving of our five-star rating and we would definitely come again. Thanks!
