The stairs to the dock was an exercise

The house and surroundings were very nice. The only bad thing that I have to say about my stay was the hill and stairs to get down to the boat dock. Just say that you have to be in pretty good health to go up and down 'em

Fall Getaway

The perfect spot for an adult getaway with our parents. Close to golf and antiquing in Cadiz and day trips to LBL attractions and Patti's. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck looking for wildlife. The house was welcoming and nicely appointed. We would definitely book this property again.

Quiet fall getaway

Nice lakeside property

We enjoyed our stay. The house is great. We enjoyed the arcade machine in the basement. The only downside is the back yard is extremely steep. The dock is nice once you get down there. Overall- great stay!

The fruit flies were pretty bad.

We had a great stay! Our grown children, their spouses and our grandkids stayed with us. We had plenty of room for the 10 of us. The place was clean, but the kitchen had fruit flies terribly. They got in a lot of our food packages and in the refrigerator. Other than that, we loved the place. The kids really enjoyed the games down stairs. We liked being on the lake but it is quite a walk down to the boat dock. We would stay again.

Lovely, comfortable home with tasteful decor. Large rooms, everything was very clean, and even smelled good. Air works great, lots of windows, new plantation blinds, double drive and double carport. Very quiet dead end street with houses set apart. Attached garage is locked with owners personal items. I absolutely LOVE the kitchen and dining area!! Dining table & 6 chairs look out on woods. A couple of chair bottom crossbars need gluing. The roomy kitchen design allows for less steps to the large refrig, big country sink, and gas stove, has los of cabinets and work space. Tons of counter space. Garbage disposal and drop sprayer on big sink makes cooking easier and dish washer makes cleanup a breeze. Lots of nice plates and glassware and some great cookware! Everything you could need provided even a kitchen pantry. Countertop provides plenty of space for 4 stools and a table top for 4 is adjacent to this area so that 14 can dine comfortably. Master bedroom has a door to the upper deck, a very comfy king bed and big bathroom, but the closet is unusable being locked with cleaning supplies. We recommend the hall closet be locked and used for that since it’s empty. The communal hall bathroom is a comfortable size with plenty of thick towels, nice removable shower head, but the door wouldn’t lock. Roomy screened porch overlooking woods off kitchen with table and 6 chairs. Open air deck overlooking woods and lake (best view is with leaves off) with comfortable seating and propane gas grill. Fire pit with chairs. There are lots of stairs to the lake with a steep rough dirt area to the large covered dock. We would definitely stay again.

Relaxing Spring Break

We had a wonderful time. We came for the last few days of my kids spring break. We have 2 kids and they each brought a friend and there was plenty of room for everybody. I know there are pictures and a warning about the trek to the dock but I wasn't quite prepared for how steep it was. There were lots of things the owners took care of that other places don't which was really nice. They had coffee pods, lots of dishwasher pods, gas for the grill and wood to burn. These were very nice extras. The property was really clean, however there was some detail items that could use a good scrub down. I would have appreciated if there had been an all purpose cleaner under the sink. I like to wipe things down as we go and as we are leaving, like tables and counters, etc but there was nothing there for me to do that with. I guess I could have brought my own but that wasn't something I thought about until I realized there wasn't any. My family caugjt fish off the dock and even got a little swimming in. We would definitely return.

Get Away

The property was beautiful and the home warm and comfortable. We used the fire pit a few nights and watched the sun set over the lake. It was a bit of a trek to the dock but so worth it. I would love to come back in the warmer months and utilize the outdoor area more. Clean and loads of space. Property manager was friendly and assisted with any needs we had promptly. Highly recommend this for a relaxing getaway or for fishing trip.

Spring break trip

We enjoyed the early spring weather and quiet trails of Land Between the Lakes. The home was a perfect location to LBL and also an oasis in itself, sitting right on Lake Barkley. We were able to enjoy fishing most days from the dock. The description of the steps going down to the dock is accurate, but we are agile and mobile, so it was fine. The inside of the home exceeded our expectations, clean and comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and even shampoos and soaps included. We cooked and grilled almost every night, and enjoyed the fire pit. Our kids enjoyed the arcade games and basement area. There was plenty of room for all of us. And the bonus was that we were able to bring our dog. If we come back, we’d definitely rent again, maybe in the summer months so we can enjoy swimming and boating.

Lovely home!

The house was very clean and functional. The furniture could use some updating as the couch and chair were not very comfortable. The fire pit was awesome and the lake view is nice. It’s very quiet and peaceful there. Walking to the lake is a challenge if you have mobility issues. The owner was very accurate with a slight tv issue!!! The beds were comfortable and parking was great!

November Lake Weekend

The house was very nice and comfortable for our party of 6 adults. The spaces were open and practical, and the kitchen was large, pretty and well-equipped with a lot of necessities. The decor and furnishings were thoughtful and fun, and you could tell there was thought into making it comfortable. The screened porch and deck and outdoor fire pit added to the living spaces and were all very nice. We were disappointed that the TV in the master bedroom does not work, nor does the fireplace, and the foosball table did not have any balls to play. The home and the view are very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Short Getaway

The property was clean and comfortable as advertised. We especially enjoyed being able to bring the dogs. The gated deck made being outside with the dogs really easy. We enjoyed the fire pit, the kayaks and the kids loved swimming around the lily pad.

Stormy week

Family of 7 with dogs enjoyed our stay even between rounds of storms. Sleeping worked well for 3 couples and 1 teenager. The stairs down to the water are not for the faint of heart. Appreciate the kayaks. Great A/C during a hot week as well.

Weekend in Cadiz

The house was great , very comfortable . One disappointment was the kayaks were filled with spiders and spider webs , they would have been a huge nuisance to clean and there was nothing to clean them with , also another chair or two on the dock would be nice . Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay

Incredible Wooded Location on the Lake

The home was a perfect vacation spot. The home has been recently renovated and has up-to-date kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and appliances. The view from both upper and lower decks was beautiful with trees over 100 feet tall between the home and the lake. The walk to the dock and returning to the home is not for the faint hearted! It’s approximately 120+ stairs from deck to dock. The beds were super comfortable and the jetted tub was luxurious! I really enjoyed the complimentary coffee and the Kurig coffee maker was very nice. The streaming TV service and WiFi worked flawlessly. We enjoyed a great BBQ courtesy of the Weber grill and many meals on the screened in porch. The local parks we visited were just beautiful! We would definitely return to this home! A bonus was being able to bring our family dog along!

Great views - lots of space - lots of stairs

Lake Barkley is beautiful! The house was spacious. The hosts were responsive. Fishing was good off the dock. Dock was nice, covered, and spacious. Swimming was good. Firewood was supplied. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. Roads and access were good. 15-20 mins away from Lake Barkley State Park Resort. 10 mins away from a Dollar General. 15-20 mins away from Food Giant grocery store. Propane for grill was out (host offered to reimburse us for the cost if we purchased a tank), we decided to cook over the fire instead. Furniture (indoor and outdoor) needs to be updated. Examples - Plastic outdoor chairs were weathered and broken. Indoor kitchen chairs had loose bases. Overall, I recommend this location if you don't mind walking down/climbing multiple stairs to access the lake.

Great time

The house was great, and near many attractions in the LBL area. We were able to go to a nearby park and see herds of Elk and Bison. This was a great place for us to stay with family for the holidays.

Rested and relaxed

This lake home is awesome. Spacious well-decorated and comfortable. The owner was responsive and a big help to us. Beds we're comfortable. Kitchen had everything we hoped for and more. A huge plus was we were able to bring our dog❤️. Highly recommend

Great Place for a family gathering!

We had a great time at this lovely house on Lake Barkley. It was very clean and tidy. The dock was perfect on a very quiet cove, and the whole family had a great time on the available kayaks! We brought SUPs and enjoyed them on this beautiful lake. The kitchen is well appointed for a large family. Everything you need to cook all meals! We cooked all our meals there. Plenty of utensils and dishes for our crowd. We all had fun in the recreation room in the basement. This is a great place for a family to gather. We would highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed this home and location! The home felt so cozy, well cleaned with comfortable beds and furniture. House was well stocked with everything we needed. Our kids loved the downstairs area and we all really enjoyed the kayaks and dock. Quiet spot on the end of a road with short driving distance to Lake Barkley Marina where we rented a boat. We would definitely recommend this home!

Location was spectacular. Home was extremely clean. You do need to walk down a number of stairs and property to get to the dock but that is well represented in the listing. Home does need some minor fixes (screen door, shower door in master). Only item is it mentions a dock and shows image of a lift but the dock has shifted to the lift does not drop into the water so that area is not usable as a lift. Can still tie up to the side of the dock
