Campbelltown has the best family friendly vibe around. Lots of Italian cafes and restaurants in the area, multiple supermarkets and essential shops around so getting supplies and keeping your belly full any time of day will be super easy!! Plenty of local playgrounds (closest one is Unity Park just an easy 6min stroll down the street), close to Linear Park and very easy drive into Adelaide City (only about 10-15 min drive or approx. 7km).
