Casually-elegant, mysig och dramatisk, denna hundvänliga (2 + år, vissa raser, kastrerad, förgodkänd, extra avgift betalas direkt till ägaren), icke-rökare, Artists 2-våningar log-konstruerade hem w / garage och inhägnad organisk öringvänlig trädgård ligger i ett lugnt trädbevuxen STORT läge året runt!

Gå 5-10 minuter på Big Wood vid floden eller åka skidor / cykelleder till Sun Valley Bald Mountain River Run Resort med gondol, stigar och dagstuga. Sportfiskare och hundar kan njuta av den närliggande flodens öringfiske och vadningsplatser. Trädgårdsmästare, barn och hundar kanske uppskattar den inhägnad organiska trädgården (inga bekämpningsmedel - någonsin!), bär och körsbärsträd.

Detta konstgjorda inredda hem är bekvämt för alla stadens bekvämligheter och aktiviteter, inomhus och utomhus - 1/2 till 1 mil till teatrar, restauranger, barer, gallerier, butiker, parker, den fantastiska Y (bad, yoga, +). Par ihop med bara ett annat hem i en duplexbyggnad (inte ett komplex med hög täthet!) med träd och trädgårdar runtomkring, var och en är privatägt och tyst åtnjöt (inga allmänningar) på en bostadsgata utan genomgående trafik. Hör floden på natten!

Två sovrum, en hy / loft och två fulla bad, plus ett "bonus" -rum i det bifogade garaget, kan rymma upp till 6 gäster i 3-4 bäddar. Njut av underbara berg och utsikt över trädet från alla rum. Tillbakadragande från gatan, kan uppfarten rymma 3 bilar förutom en-bil garage, även i snöig vinter.

Från en tillgänglig entré i marknivå, gå in i dramatiska välvda två-våningar vardagsrum och matplatser med spektakulär vedeldad eldstad. Teak- och skinnmöbler och ägarfotografier + andra Idaho- och Montana-konstnärers vackra treskulpturer och målningar visar avslappnad elegans med ett natur- och djurlivstema.

Det stora köket bör glädja de flesta semesterkockar och dess bänkplatser förbättrar mysig frukost, te- eller vindelning i sociala sammankomster, samtidigt som måltiderna går utöver matbordet med 6 personer i teak.

En 50-tums HD-TV med platt skärm kan ses från restauranger, vardagsrum och kök. En separat TV på övervåningen tillåter flera programval. Grundläggande kabel-TV, internet och WiFi-tjänster tillhandahålls.

Den nedre våningen Queen sovrum med utökat område (rymmer en extra säng) vetter mot och erbjuder en dörr till den privata trädkantade trädgården med picknickbord och veranda (ny 2015), med fredlig och fri utsikt över Baldy berget.

På övervåningen är ett kung sovrum, badrum, plus den / loft med drottning japansk säng, TV och bekväma läder vilstol - och utsikt!

Vissa raser av vuxna (2 + år) kastrerade, välskötta hundar med "intyg" (verifierad hälsa och skadedjurbehandling) kan vara välkomna, med förhandsgodkännande, extra avgift som betalas direkt till ägaren.

I’m tempted to write a bad review to scare people away, because I never want to miss out on booking this property. What an absolutely perfect stay in Sun Valley - we couldn’t have asked for more. Beautiful home, location, decor, all hits.

Classic quality

In this quiet neighborhood in deep winter the snow rises head-high along the meticulously plowed driveway. Warm beds, fit for Goldilocks, with ample quilts, cozy carpets and fireplace, logs well caulked, close views of the mountain, wood sculpture of a bear cub peeking over the upstairs railing, a kitchen with every spice and enough coffee to wake up for a week and most every appliance and knife and cookware, and a couple of bottles of wine (pro-bono), and meticulous accommodations by the host, including a few placards of detailed instructions on how to live in this home.

Nice, comfortable home near town and slopes

This home is in a quiet area, yet close to everything we needed. The beds were quite comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and there was plenty of room to park in the driveway. A new gas stove has just been installed in the living room; that is a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Property In Ketchum!!

Stayed 4 nights in August and loved it! Secluded and quiet neighborhood right at the base of the mountain. House has everything and walkable to Ketchum and restaurants.Bike path and trails close. Highly recommend and host is terrific!

Cute cabin in great location!

Our family had an amazing time in this old school cabin- the location was unbelievable! We were able to walk to town, river run and just about anywhere in Ketchum. The neighborhood is amazing as well. The cabin itself is comfortable and cool in the summer months. We had plenty of space and it was pretty clean and well stocked. Owners were super responsive and checked up on us which was a plus. Overall we had an amazing week!

Lovely Ski Week at Artist's Home

We had a comfortable, cozy stay at Natalie's Artist Home! Her photography and art adorns the house and gives a great log cabin vibe; we used the fireplace and cooked quite frequently. Slept great, very quiet. ~10 minute walk to the base of the mountain and main gondola and lift. Easy to walk our dog in the neighborhood. Easy 10-20 minute walk to anywhere in town. Natalie was very responsive and easy to plan the trip with. Thank you Natalie!!

Quiet, Great Location

We enjoyed our stay here - 2 BRs and a loft with a floor bed. It's as advertised - dated, with quite a mix of dishes, linens, etc. It's like staying at a friend's place. The bonus room by the garage made a great locker room for skiing. Host is easy to work with. We would come back.

Cozy Home In A Wonderful Location

We loved this home -- it felt like we were in the woods far from town, yet we could walk into the town of Ketchum in less than 15 minutes. And we could walk to the Gondola for amazing hiking opportunities. The home was very well stocked and we felt right at home. We hope to be back!

Perfect!

Our family was there for a long weekend and it was perfect for us! Our teen son loved the bonus room for himself. It was like his own little apartment lol. The street is quiet, it's a short drive to downtown Ketchum, and we just felt so at home! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your place!

Ketchum River Run

Quaint log cabin, in a quiet neighborhood just 12 min walk to River Run Lodge (Sun Valley Ski Resort) and downtown Ketchum. Excellent location. Host was great, very communicative and helpful. Only downside was it had only 2 true beds, the 3rd was a cot and not a particularly good one. Would be a great fit for 2 couples looking for a ski getaway.

Warm, comfortable home. Perfect for 4 adults

We loved the location, near the ski area. We walked into town to restaurants. It was great to have a garage to keep car warm on cold nights. We loved being able to have our dog with us. Our thanks for this privilege.

Ski trip to Sun Valley

Everything was as I expected it to be. Very cozy cabin with all the necessities. The home owner was easily reached for any questions. The accommodations were perfect for our group. The access to the ski hill was also perfect less than 3 minutes by car. I would definitely stay her again.

Great location, needs work

This home has some great attributes, however there are some things that need to be said. "Casually Elegant" is a stretch - the home is very dated and worn. Carpet is shot, every corner is chipped, it probably hasn't been updated since the 70s or 80s. The furniture is very old and worn. It does have a fireplace - but no wood and no hint of where to buy any. There was blood on the bedding in the master - and in general it was somewhat clean. We had a great time and the location is excellent, but feel that this unit is a little oversold on the "elegance" and condition.

Locaiton, Location, Location!

You can't beat the location! We were so close to the best winter skiing around, beautiful neighborhood nestled a the base of Bald Mountain, just a short two minute drive to the downtown (would also be a wonderful walk in the summertime) and beautiful snowy trees all around. We even had a mother and baby moose visit our street! Loved it tremendously!. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Location, privacy, and ambience

This property is located close to everything in Ketchum. It's on a quiet residential street and is well screened from the road. The log cabin motif elegantly reflects western ambience without resorting to the cliche' of elk antlers and cowboys. A quality experience!

Perfect for a ski week

Well-located property minutes from River Run lifts and walkable to town in a quiet neighborhood. Filled with interesting art and artifacts; it worked out well for our family for our week in Ketchum.

As a former music performer and actor, I enjoy and support accomplished and rising young artists in the Merola Opera Program, SF Opera, SF Conservatory, Opera Parallele and others in San Francisco and Sun Valley. My key focus: to support wilderness, wildlife and great (timeless) music!

My home and gardens have been extensively renovated and upgraded in recent years. Several guests have returned for multiple visits.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This area has it all while very quiet and uncrowded. I love my peaceful wooded residential neighborhood on a low-traffic street by the ski mountain and river, with most town amenities only 5-10- minutes away!

The river-rock gas (new) fireplace reminds me of wonderful times spent in the Appalachians, notably the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (great for much but not for snow-skiing)!

I sought/bought a mountain "cabin in the woods" near a river, mountain sports and wildlife, with great pro-quality music, art, theatres, library and nice people.

My Ketchum cabin is perfect: I can walk quickly to ski, river, hike, bike, with food, galleries, theatres, yoga close by I have a large organic garden area (I've planted over 30 trees) with a fenced area for dogs & privacy. Two free-bus stops are very near. Everything I seek is quickly and easily accessed! West Ketchum is highly-appreciated by locals, for its location by the river and Bald mountain.

I learned to swim in a mountain stream and to fish and canoe in rivers and lakes. I grew up in a cultured University very-wooded town where "a river runs through it", with great music, theatre, arts and sciences (and a famous National Lab nearby). I later added snow-skiing, fly-fishing, piloting small aircraft & sailing to hiking, biking, river and ocean sports.

There is so much in this region to enjoy - it's a wonderland! The nearby 730,864-acres SNRA includes a large wilderness, with Swiss-Alps-like Sawtooth mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife, where one can really escape into nature.

Take easy day trips to Silver Creek Preserve (famous for fly-fishing and wildlife including moose), Craters of the Moon monument, and Galena summit & beyond to the Salmon river, Redfish Lake and Stanley. For longer adventures, continue N thru a spectacular canyon along the river to North Fork, a nice retreat within a day's drive, or on to Glacier National Park & Flathead Lake.
